IOC: 'Very satisfied' with Sochi start

SOCHI, Russia -- The IOC says it has canceled its daily troubleshooting meetings with Sochi organizers because the Olympics are running smoothly.

IOC president Thomas Bach called off the regular morning meeting "until further notice thanks to the successful start to the games."

Daily coordination meetings are scheduled at every Olympics to review and resolve any problems with the local organizers.

'We are now four days into the games and are very satisfied with the way they are unfolding," Bach said.

The first coordination meeting was held last Friday, the day of the opening ceremony.
