Track record: The 2007 Angler of the Year and 2009 Bassmaster Classic champion has fished two BASS events on the Alabama River (BASS has never held a professional tournament on Lake Jordan). At the 2003 Alabama Showdown, he finished 14th, and at the 2004 Elite 50 event he was 34th.

Notes: Reese has a chance to do what no other angler besides Mark Davis has ever done — win the Classic and AOY in the same calendar year. He is one of only three men to have won AOY, the Classic, weighed in 100 or more pounds in a BASS event and earned more than $1 million in BASS prize money. Reese has seven top 10 AOY finishes, including six in a row going into this season. He'll be fishing his 11th Classic in 2010 and returning to the scene of his runner-up finish in 2007. He was the most consistent of the Toyota 12 during the 2009 Elite season, making every top 50 cut and half of the top 12 cuts. His best finish was second at Lake Guntersville, and his worst finish was an impressive 29th on the Mississippi River.
