Full time student at Penn State University, majoring in toxicology
Boom running is my passion! I love the adrenaline rush of skipping across the logs, racing against an opponent and the clock.
During the log rolling and boom running competition season, I log roll and boom run every day in addition to either running on land or biking. During the off season while at school I run or swim every day and do fast-feet exercises.
School and my sorority (Kappa Alpha Theta) are top priorities in my life nowadays. Because of the difficulty of my major, it seems like school consumes my life, but I also find time to go out and spend time with friends and family.
How long have you competed in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series?
This will only be my second year competing in the STIHL series; hopefully this year will be a year for me to take home the gold!
Currently I am third in the world for boom running, and missed grasping first place by four one-hundredths of a second in the 2008 Lumberjack World Championships. I am also one of the youngest professional women competitors.
