Who's new in the Elite Series

With apologies to David Byrne, the 2010 Elite Series is the same as it ever was ... but different. It still features the best of the best — 11 anglers who have won 19 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year awards, 11 anglers who have won 16 Bassmaster Classics and 93 anglers who have every right and reason to call themselves the very best in the business.

Seven of those 93 are new to the highest level of our sport. They're the Elite Series rookies and the anglers who will be vying for the Rookie of the Year award ... as well as Angler of the Year and a Classic berth, if they're good enough.

The new guys have a tough row to hoe. Not only are they up against the best anglers in the world, but they're generally lacking in experience on the Elite tournament waters. It's tough enough to test your skills against Kevin VanDam, Denny Brauer and Rick Clunn without also having to learn your way around Clear Lake, the California Delta and the Arkansas River.

If they can do it, there are riches and fame to be had, and it all starts right here.
