How Long Bass Fishing: 5 years (Multi-species fishing for 15 years prior)
How Started Bass Fishing: Years later, David (my boyfriend turned husband) invited me to go night fishing on a small private pond. Fishing at night, using every sense except sight, is a great way to catch a first time bass! From that night on, our life as a couple completely revolved around fishing. It didn't matter what we were catching, as long as we could have the thrill of a fish on the end of our line! Unfortunately, David lost his life in a tragic automobile accident when he was only 21 years old. My passion for fishing however lives on, and I can thank David for inviting me along that one summer night. Little did we realize how much that first experience of fishing would change my life forever. Four years ago, I joined an online fishing forum. One of the forum members who fished local tournaments invited me on his bass boat for the day. I was intrigued with all of the knowledge that was necessary if you were to be successful at catching bass. It became like a giant puzzle that I was determined to piece together, and from that day on I was hooked on bass fishing.
