  • No. 4 A group of 150 dog-meat restaurant owners in Seoul, South Korea, have scrapped a plan to offer World Cup tourists free samples of their dishes.

  • No. 5 Chicago Cubs manager Don Baylor blamed pitcher Kerry Wood's rough seventh inning, in which he gave up two solo home runs, on a singer's long version of "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch.
