Every week, you whine about the Power Rankings on's NFL, NBA, NHL and baseball pages: "Why can't they all be in one convenient place?" Well, now you can gripe about Page 2's Power Poll, too.

We're sticking our neck out with a weekly look at the 10 hottest "teams" in all of sports -- and our five weaklings of the week. Plus, our momentum meter will predict future trends.

1. Ray Lewis, Brian Billick Brian Billick Billick adds editor/director role to head coaching duties, telling media what they should cover. Bad cop act tries to make Lewis the good cop. OK, bad analogy.

2. Reborn quarterbacks Trent Dilfer, Kerry Collins Poster boys for second chances. Either Dilfer or Collins will get ultimate last laugh Sunday night.

3. Notre Dame women's hoops Ruth Riley Followed up incredible win over UConn by not losing, thus becoming first new No. 1 in the last 31 polls.

4. Soccer Osasuna's Gruchaga Tutu, Rabin, Mandela ... Maradona? Well, not quite. But the sport of soccer has been nominated for the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. Really. We're not making this up.

5. Milwaukee Bucks George Karl Eight-game winning streak. First team to score 100 against Knicks this millennium.

6. CBS CBS Shrewd strategy to draw people to a lackluster Super Bowl by scheduling hit show "Survivor" afterward. After scoreless regulation, viewers will be forced to watch the quintuple overtime game.

7. Philly 76ers Allen Iverson Best record in the NBA, including team-record-tying 11 straight road wins. Maybe the East does have hope in the Finals.

8. Capriati and Kournikova Jennifer Capriati Jennifer Capriati's run to the semifinals is the story of the Australian Open. Kournikova's appearance in the quarters was the most surprising.

9. New York Rangers Mike Richter Back in playoff hunt after ending a 12-game road winless streak. Unbeaten in last five.

10. Sonics brass Ruben Patterson, Gary Payton Actually backed rookie coach Nate McMillan on one-game suspension of superpest Gary Payton, thus inspiring Sonics to upset wins over Kings and Lakers upon Gloved One's return.

ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: New York Yankees, Super Bowl punters, Colorado Avalanche, Braniac college hoops teams.

5. Anaheim Angels Anaheim Angels Mo Vaughn probably out for season; immediately signed Jose Canseco. New team motto: You can never have too many bad fielders.

4. Team Carruth Rae Carruth Deadlocked jury gave Rae hope of hung jury. Avoided death penalty, but 19-year sentence is going to make that trunk of a car seem comfortable.

3. Portland Trail Blazers Trail Blazers Once the hottest team in the league, the Blazers went subzero Monday, scoring a franchise-low 58 points against the beat-up Cavs.

2. Dawg Pound Browns fans Nothing worse for a Browns fan than watching Modell's Ravens in the big game.

1. NFL NFL Boring Super Bowl matchup, surrounded by Ray Lewis media frenzy, shrouded by Rae Carruth's sentencing, wrapped around Mark Chmura's rape trial.

ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: Tampa-area lap dancers, Montreal Canadiens.
