Custom Highlight Reels Bring ESPN Announcers' Calls to Local Youth Teams, the leading sports site, and New York-based SportsCapsule, a service that creates custom video season highlight reels, have teamed up to offer an exclusive service for youth sports teams, the Highlight Project. The Highlight Project will provide 1,000 youth teams with custom highlight reels featuring their team's biggest plays enhanced with graphics, music, effects and play calls by ESPN announcers, including Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, Rich Eisen, Suzy Kolber and others. Registration for the Highlight Project is available exclusively through the site ( to the first 1,000 youth teams in any team sport at any age level through high school. is part of the Walt Disney Internet Group. To qualify, teams must reserve a spot on the site and send in up to five of their own, self-shot game tapes. In addition to the standard VHS format, teams will also be able to receive the final highlight reel on CD-ROM or have it posted online. The cost is about $30 per player for all editing, production, and a copy for each team member.
