DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Danica Patrick is looking forward to her final NASCAR race, and yes, he will be there Sunday for the Daytona 500.
Patrick is competing in two races in 2018 -- the Daytona 500 and then the Indianapolis 500 in May -- before retiring as a race car driver.
"I'm actually just excited that he gets to see what I do," Patrick said Wednesday during Daytona 500 media day. "He'll get to see me in my [driver] suit. I've never seen him in his uniform [to play] in person."
That means there will be two famous NFL quarterbacks at the speedway. Peyton Manning will drive the pace car prior to the race.
Could Manning and Rodgers throw a few passes to each other, prerace?
"I highly doubt it," Patrick said with a laugh.
Patrick ended a five-year relationship with driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in November.
