NHRA Power Rankings: Atlanta

Before every event of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ESPN analyst Mike Dunn will rank the top three drivers -- and riders on weekends the Pro Stock Motorcycle crew competes -- in each category. Up this week? The Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway.

Top Fuel

1. Antron Brown
2. Doug Kalitta
3. Shawn Steve Torrence

Nothing changes with the top two. Antron has been amazing, and since he has five wins in Atlanta (three in Top Fuel and two in motorcycles) and is the defending champion, you have to like his odds! Steve has a car that runs well enough to be at the top. They just need to figure out how to get the right setup in the later rounds, and once they do, watch out!

Funny Car

1. Robert Hight
2. Ron Capps
3. Del Worsham

Del has a similar car to Steve Torrance in that it can run with anybody, at any given time, but needs to find consistency on race day. I like Ron Capps in the No. 2 spot since he has been running well; his crew chief, Rahn Tobler, has had a lot of success at this event.

Pro Stock

1. Erica Enders-Stevens
2. Allen Johnson
3. Shane Gray

As good as the competition is in Pro Stock, I am amazed at how good Erica's car is so far this year. You have to give car owner Richard Freeman a lot of credit for assembling all the talent on this team. Even though the racing is decided a lot of times within inches in this class, the way I do my formula for the rankings, I can tell you nobody is close to having the car she has, run for run!

Pro Stock Motorcycle

1. Eddie Krawiec
2. Andrew Hines
3. Hector Arana Jr.

The Harleys are back! I could have put any of them first, but I went with Eddie since he got his first win here in 2009 and won again in 2012. One to watch: John Hall. He's had a good bike the first two races.
