NHRA Power Rankings: Topeka

Will Pro Stock points leader Erica Enders-Stevens ring up the landmark 100th victory for women? Mark J. Rebilas/USA TODAY Sports

Before every event of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ESPN analyst Mike Dunn will rank the top three drivers -- and riders on weekends the Pro Stock Motorcycle crew competes -- in each category. Up this week? The Lucas Oil NHRA Kansas Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka.

Top Fuel

1. Doug Kalitta
2. Antron Brown
3. J.R. Todd

I have Team Kalitta bookending Brown because it has good cars going into Topeka and boasts a great record at this event. One to watch would be Spencer Massey. He did not have a good car at Atlanta, but he put on one of the best driving jobs I've seen in a long time. If you give him a car that is close, don't ever bet against him.

Funny Car

1. Robert Hight
2. Ron Capps
3. Courtney Force

Still the hardest class to predict (other than Hight). After Hight, there are eight drivers you could put on the list, so I am sticking with the formula. Courtney Force has been getting more consistent, which is what the team needed to do. Now that team just needs a little more performance without losing that consistency and it will get back to the winner's circle.

Pro Stock

1. Erica Enders-Stevens
2. Shane Gray
3. Jeg Coughlin

Enders-Stevens was low every qualifying and elimination round at Atlanta. She still has an amazing car. I like the next two on the list since Gray's numbers keep getting better and Coughlin put on a driving clinic, showing that he will never quit and will get the most out of any car. Ones to watch should be the Summit boys: Greg Anderson and Jason Line. They looked good at Atlanta, and they hold both ends of the track record in Topeka -- Line with elapsed time and Anderson with speed.
