Pedregon powers Funny Car

Before every event of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ESPN analyst Mike Dunn will rank the top five drivers -- and riders on weekends the Pro Stock Motorcycle crew competes -- in each class. Up this week? Atlanta.

Top Fuel

1) Shawn Langdon

2) Doug Kalitta

3) Morgan Lucas

4) Antron Brown

5) Bob Vandergriff

Bob Vandergriff moves into the rankings for the first time with his win in Houston and because he's going to his hometown race with momentum. Antron Brown and Doug Kalitta both have won twice at this event. Tony Schumacher is not in the rankings because he has never won here (this should give him some incentive, because he always liked making me look bad when we raced each other!)

Funny Car

1) Cruz Pedregon

2) Tim Wilkerson

3) Ron Capps

4) Jack Beckman

5) Courtney Force

Ron Capps makes it back in the rankings because his crew chief, Rahn Tobler, has won here the past two years (in 2011 with Jack Beckman, and last year with Ron). If Capps had done a little bit better at Houston, he would have been at the top.

Pro Stock

1) Jason Line

2) Jeg Coughlin

3) Mike Edwards

4) Greg Anderson

5) Shane Gray

The Summit Boys run well at their sponsor's event in Atlanta. Jason Line has been in the finals the past two years, winning in 2011 and losing on a hole shot to Greg Anderson last year. Anderson's win was his fourth Atlanta Wally.
