Western Kentucky coach Rick Stansbury has landed Mitchell Robinson, the No. 15 player in the country in the Class of 2017.
"I can trust him," Robinson told ESPN on Wednesday afternoon. "He was the first one who really recruited me."
The 6-foot-11, 225-pound defensive-minded big man, who plays at Chalmette High in New Orleans, previously committed to Texas A&M, where Stansbury had recruited him as an assistant coach.
"I think I can help build Western Kentucky," Robinson said. "It's a chance for me to make an impact right away."
Robinson decommitted from the Aggies shortly after Stansbury left to take the Hilltoppers job.
