Top offensive lineman selects USC

One of the nation's top offensive linemen, Drew Radovich of Mission Viejo, Cal., has committed to the USC Trojans over UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon, Washington and Colorado, among others.

Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas and Georgia head the Early Top Classes. Commitments by conferences.

Big Ten:
Illinois has a verbal from defensive lineman Adam Wilk of Lake Zurich, Ill., over Northern Illinois, Ball State and Central Michigan.

Purdue has a pledge from defensive back Paul Long of Dayton-Meadowlake, Ohio. The Boilermakers recently gained defensive back Grant Walker of Pflugerville, Tex., and linebacker Eugene Bright of Bryn, Pa.

Big 12:
Texas A&M gained touted defensive back Stephen Hodge of Richardson-Lake Highlands, Tex., over interest in Vanderbilt, Boston College, UCLA and West Virginia.

Big East:
Syracuse gained a pledge from kicker Rick Krautman of Franklin Hills-Ramapo, NJ., over Rutgers. He holds the state record for career kicking points and consecutive extra points.

Auburn pledged punter Kody Bliss of Brentwood-Brentwood Academy, Tenn., over Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas and Georgia. The Tigers recently gained his teammate, kicker John Vaughn.

Vanderbilt has a verbal from receiver Stephon Johnson of Lewisburg-Marshall County, Tenn.

Alabama pledged receiver Matt Caddell of McCall-McAdory, Ala., over Auburn. Among others were LSU, Mississippi, South Carolina and Clemson.

TCU pledged defensive/offensive lineman Jamison Newby of Cleburne, Tex., over Kansas, SMU and Purdue.

Northern Illinois pledged defensive lineman Charnzie Carey of Chicago-Manley, Ill.

Toledo has a commitment from offensive lineman Justin Tharp of Trafalgar-Indian Creek, Ind.

SMU has commitments from offensive lineman Ben Poynter and running back Fred Turner, both from Arlington-Lamar, Tex.

California verballed defensive back Brandon Sanders of Oakland-Skyline, Cal., over offers from Washington, Arizona State, UCLA and Colorado.

Offensive lineman Kyle DeVan of Vacaville, Cal., chose Oregon State over UNLV, Utah, Utah State and Boise State.

Washington State added offensive lineman Russell Foster of Chula Vista-Bonita Vista, Cal., over Arizona and Colorado State. The Cougars recently gained defensive lineman/linebacker Landon Ellis of Fresno-Edison, Cal., over interest from California, Washington and UCLA.
