Top offensive linemen select Illinois, Auburn

Illinois has pledged Top 150 offensive lineman Martin O'Donnell of Downers Grove-South, Ill., over Nebraska and Stanford. Others were Oregon, Penn State and Iowa. The Illini also gained running back Marcus Mason of Rockville-Georgetown Prep, Md., over interest in Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Michigan State and Virginia.

Jarrod Britt, a Top 150 offensive lineman from Marietta-McEachern, Ga., has committed to Auburn over 40 offers, headed by Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Clemson and Maryland.

Top 150 junior college quarterback Mike Rathe of San Diego-Rancho Bernardo, Cal/Mesa CC, Cal., has committed to South Carolina over Kansas.

Jonathan Stupar, a Top 150 tight end from State College-Area, Pa., has announced his decision to attend Virginia over Florida State, Arizona State, North Carolina State and Iowa (ESPN Chat).

Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas and Georgia head the Early Top Classes. Commitments by conferences.

Big East:
Cyrim Wimbs, an offensive lineman from Pompano Beach-Ely, Fla., has committed to Miami-Florida over North Carolina State, Florida State, North Carolina and Ohio State. The Canes recently added teammate Tyrone Moss, a Top 150 running back, over Virginia Tech, Michigan State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech and North Carolina State, among many others.

Syracuse pledged defensive back Reggie McCoy of Washington, DC-DeMatha, over Pittsburgh, Duke, UConn, Bowling Green and Marshall.

Offensive/defensive lineman Ken Shackleford of Villa Rica, Ga., has given a soft commitment to Georgia over Auburn, Clemson and Florida.

Defensive back Iroko Ayodele of Gulfport-Harrison Central, Miss/Gulf Coast CC, Miss., picked Mississippi over Kentucky and Kent State.

Arizona State has a commitment from offensive lineman Mike Pollak of Tempe-Corona del Sol, Ariz., over Arizona, Washington, Vanderbilt and Stanford.

Arizona gained a commitment from receiver/defensive back Syndric Steptoe of Bryan, Tex., over Arkansas and Texas A&M. The Wildcats recently pledged offensive lineman Ishmael Garcia of Pomona-Garey, Cal.
