Houston WR chooses the Longhorns

The Texas Longhorns have their 17th Class 2004 commitment in receiver Chris Ogbonnaya of Houston-Strake Jesuit, Tex., over offers from Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, Stanford, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Nebraska, Arkansas, Colorado, Northwestern, Syracuse, UCLA and Kansas, among others.
Penn State has its 10th Class 2004 commitment in running back Dan Lawlor of Mechanicsburg-Cumberland Valley, Pa., over offers from Iowa, Maryland, Vanderbilt, UConn and Indiana. The Nittany Lions recently gained defensive lineman/tight end Mike Lucian of Frederick-Linganore, Md., over offers from Georgia Tech and Maryland.
Oklahoma State has a pledge from Class 2004 defensive lineman Nathan Peterson of Tulsa-Union, Okla., over offers from Oklahoma, Colorado, Colorado State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Tennessee and Texas A&M, among others. The Cowboys recently gained defensive back Stephen James of Houston-North Shore, Tex.
Class 2004 linebacker/defensive lineman Dwayne Holmes of Detroit-Henry Ford, Mich., has decommitted from Purdue. He is now considering the Boilermakers, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Colorado, Indiana and Illinois.
Class 2004 defensive lineman Craig Bokor of Aliquippa-Hopewell, Pa., has recommitted to Pittsburgh. Defensive back Alphonso Smith of Pahokee, Fla., recently committed to the Panthers over offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, East Carolina and West Virginia.
