Etbauer, Elltiott strike in Jackson

Reigning world champions Billy Etbauer (Edmond, Okla.) and Dustin Elliott (Tecumseh, Neb.) headlined the champions at the recently completed Dixie National in Jackson, Miss.

Etbauer, a five-time world saddle bronc champion, scored 89 points on Stace Smith Pro Rodeo's Dippin' Desperado to claim the title and $5,762. Elliott, who won his first world bull riding title in 2004, had an 89-point ride on Stace Smith's Dirty White Bull for the crown and $6,257.

Other champions in Jackson were:
Clayton Foltyn (El Campo, Texas), bareback riding, 89 points on Smith, Harper and Morgan's River Boat Annie, $5,718;
Jesse Childers (Cameron, Texas), tie-down roping, 15.4 seconds on two head, $5,088;
Jason Miller (Lance Creek, Wyo.), steer wrestling, 8.1 seconds on two, $3,177; and
Paula Seay (Lake Butler, Fla.), barrel racing, 14.46 seconds, $3,678.
