David W. Rintels (Writer/Co-Producer)

David has written and produced all or part of 14 theater films and TV movies. His projects have earned him many accolades, including three Writers Guild Awards and three Emmy Awards. He is also the distinguished recipient of two Peabody Awards, five Christopher awards, a Cable Ace Award, a Valentine Davies award, the Norman Felton Award as Producer of the Year in Television and the annual Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television. He has been writing for over 40 years since his first TV movie, The Defenders, in 1961. One of his more noted and more recent works was the dramatic TV mini-series Nuremburg. From 1975-77, Rintels served as president of the Writers Guild of America, West. He has also served as an adjunct professor at USC in the Department of Cinema-Television.
