AC Milan and Bayern Munich played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Soldier Field in Chicago, with the Italian giants taking the win in a penalty shootout.
M'Baye Niang had Vincenzo Montella's side ahead early with a well-taken strike from outside the box. The lead, however, only lasted six minutes before Franck Ribery brought the German champions level.
The two sides continued to trade goals throughout the match, with David Alaba scoring for Bayern and Andrea Bertolacci and Juraj Kucka getting on the scoresheet for Milan.
Ribery ensured that the game would be decided from the spot by slotting a 90th-minute penalty into the bottom right corner.
That, however, only delayed Milan's victory, with the Rossoneri scoring all their penalties to win the shootout 5-3.
