Jozy Altidore scored a goal and added an assist for Toronto FC, but the Reds could only manage a draw at home against Chicago Fire. (1:41)

Jonathan Osorio scored the equalizing goal in the 76th minute to help Toronto FC maintain their unbeaten start with a 2-2 draw against the visiting Chicago Fire on Saturday.

Off to the best three-game start in club history, Toronto (3-0-1) needed to rally from a 2-1 deficit to keep their undefeated run alive. TFC owned an 8-3 advantage in shots on target but was not able to pull out a fourth consecutive victory to open the campaign.

Chicago's Nemanja Nikolic gave the visitors a 2-1 advantage in the 62nd minute, when he side-footed one in off a crossing pass from Aleksandar Katai. However, TFC continued to put pressure in the final third, and Osorio came through with the tying goal.

Toronto improved to 8-0-2 over Chicago (1-2-2) in the last 10 meetings. While the Fire managed a point in this contest, thanks to a rejuvenated second-half effort and some key saves from keeper David Ousted, they are 0-10-4 on the road since winning at Orlando City on May 26.

Toronto got a quality chance six minutes into the match, as Drew Moor's header from the middle of the box was saved by Ousted. TFC finally did break through first when Jozy Altidore, who assisted on the tying goal, headed home a perfect cross from Alex Pozuelo in the 31st minute.

Pozuelo was important again Saturday after recording two goals with an assist in his Toronto debut last weekend.

The Fire equalized in the first minute of first-half stoppage time. A surging C.J. Sapong left-footed the ball over sliding Toronto keeper Alex Bono for his third goal of the season.

Toronto will return to action next Saturday when they visit Seattle. Chicago will host Vancouver on Friday.
