Colombia international James Rodriguez is not looking too far ahead and says he is just happy to be receiving regular playing time at Bayern Munich.
James arrived at the Bundesliga club on an initial two-year loan deal from Real Madrid in the summer with a purchase option included in the agreement.
The 26-year-old was not a regular first choice for Real coach Zinedine Zidane or his predecessor Rafa Benitez but has made 21 appearances in all competitions for Bayern, including 15 as starter.
Asked about a possible return to Madrid any time soon, James told Caracol TV: "I don't know. For now, I am thinking about Bayern Munich. I have two years left here, I am happy here.
"I'm doing things well here, I'm going through a good spell.
"I've started in six straight league games and I had not been able to do that in the past two years. That is very positive. After so long, to play regularly, it makes me really happy. In the position I'm playing at right now [in midfield], I can create more play, but I feel comfortable playing in different positions."
However, James says the European champions have plenty of talent at their disposal.
"They were going through a tough time and you say things that you shouldn't sometimes," he said of Ronaldo's comments. "I believe that Real Madrid have very good players to have a really good campaign.
"They are a big team, I know what they think, they have a team with the power to change everything. I left lots of really good teammates and friends in Madrid and I always watch them when I can. I keep in touch with [Sergio] Ramos, [Karim] Benzema and Marcelo."
