Terrible news for Notre Dame WBB, as leading scorer/rebounder Brianna Turner is out for the rest of the NCAA tournament with a knee injury suffered in second-round victory over Purdue. Notre Dame, the No. 1 seed in the Lexington Regional, will have to rely all the more on its guards the rest of the way. The Irish face No. 5 seed Ohio State in the regional semifinals Friday. This is the second NCAA tournament-ending knee injury to a major player for Notre Dame WBB in the past three years. The Irish lost Natalie Achonwa in the 2014 Elite Eight.
