AFL Monday night football on ESPN continues its West Coast swing Monday night when Los Angeles travels to Arizona (10 p.m. ET, ESPN2). The Monday night West Coast games continue the rest of the season with Chicago at Colorado and Dallas at Colorado. Los Angeles enters the game right in the thick of the playoff race. The Avengers are in second place in the Western Division at 7-6. The Avengers currently the fifth seed in the American Conference, but just one game behind the third-seeded Kansas City (8-5). Arizona enters the game 4-10.

Cumbie started 12 games a season ago, his first in the AFL. He quickly established himself as a prolific passer, throwing for 3,241 yards and 59 TDs. This season, he has broken those marks, already throwing for 3,580 yards and 68 TDs. Throwing the ball around is not new to Cumbie. In 2004, at Texas Tech, he threw for 4,742 yards, leading the NCAA and putting at No. 6 all-time in Division I-A history.
