Buzzmaster (9:53 AM)
I'm going for three days in a row....what the heck.....
Buzzmaster (9:53 AM)
Gooooooooooood morning!
Mike (Steeler Nation)
Here we go Steelers, here we go! 80 hrs and 28 minutes til kickoff!
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Tired Buzz + 2 says of showing up early + people getting here 10 minutes early=late start
Buzzmaster (9:53 AM)
Wrong!
Steve (NJ)
I've decided I'm going to write a revealing book about the Morning Buzz with help from Nate. I figure noone around here can throw a guy under a bus faster, or with more facility, than good ol' Nate.
Buzzmaster (9:54 AM)
I've copyrighted that name. You're going to have to pay me royalties.
john (lees summit)
who will win the super bowl next year
Buzzmaster (9:55 AM)
Come on dude, we've still got three days to decide this one.
Ryan (San Diego)
Thats some fuzzy math Joe
Steve (NJ)
I have to pay you for Nate's name? Nice work, dirty tyrant.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Just trying to goad Buzz into starting early.
Pete (Canada)
Buzzz....Didi you take your Schwinn with you to Tampa
Buzzmaster (9:56 AM)
How do you think I got here?
Buzzmaster (9:56 AM)
I've got to say, I like the fact that we've got people on the Fans of Buzz and Members of Morning Buzz page that aren't able to participate in the chat, but read the transcripts. Good work to you anonymous readers.
Pete (NC)
Why is it that no one wants to be #1? I think it's because the week you get to #1 you lose.
Ryan (San Diego)
Just change the name to the Fuzzmaster
Buzzmaster (9:57 AM)
Fuzzmaster: The unoffical biography.
Nate (Madison)
You've copyrighted my name? So I have to pay royalties each time I write a check, put my name in an email, or put a heading on a paper?
Buzzmaster (9:58 AM)
Coach Ditka is back. And he's wearing a Legends of the Game polo shirt.
Pete (NC)
It's harder to get posted on the afternoon Buzz than it is to get Clinton to smile.
Jon Stein (Pittsburgh, PA)
Hey man can't wait for the big game...I am Jon Stein and I want to know who will be the bigger playmaker in this game....Roethlesberger or Fitzgerald?
Mike (Steeler Nation)
Being #1 is just a big jynx. Oklahoma can join the cycle next.
Alex (KY)
Hey man, your crazy but i like you
Buzzmaster (9:58 AM)
The crazier the better.
Robert (Raleigh NC)
I was sitting at the computer and was thinking "it's early...should I go to chat? Naw...no way Buzz is early three days in a row"
Morning Buzzers
Good work? What is this 'work' you speak of?
Nate (Madison)
Just do what Tecmo Super Bowl did with players *QB Eagles, QB Bills, etc*. Just put ESPN Chat Host.
Godish (Chicago)
Touch Ditka for me Buzz.
Buzzmaster (9:59 AM)
He brushed past me and for a couple of seconds, I think we breathed the same air.
Mike(Charlotte)
Mornin Buzz, How's Tampa today?
Buzzmaster (9:59 AM)
Not good. Cloudy and only about 70. Supposedly rain is on the way.
Rich (Douglas AK)
Buzz, We have damning evidence that you have been exposed to excessive UV light.
Buzzmaster (10:00 AM)
More like excessive halogen light.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Doggone it I missed the early start. I'm here now though. What's up Buzz?
Mark(HOF City )
There used to be a time when you could count on certain things happening. Buzz being late was one of those. I don't know what to do with this New Buzz.
Godish (Chicago)
Ever since I got a job out of a college, I've had a Ditka bobblehead at my desk. He's looking at me right now.
Ryan (San Diego)
They are just sharpening their wit before they jump in the ring...its necessary or you'll get blown out
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Is it just a shirt with his picture on it?
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
The buffet lights are UV?
mike (pittsburgh)
roethlisberger is going to make up for last super bowl's poor performance..and blitzburgh's going to handle fitz
Steve (NJ)
Ok, so I have an interview today. Aside from endlessly mentioning my fiancee, is there anything else I should discuss?
Robert (Raleigh NC)
Boy Buzz, those pics on facebook were epic. Neil Rackers' Ass. The back of Matt Linearts neck. Some crazy hair dude. Making me wish I was there (sarcasm)!
Buzzmaster (10:01 AM)
Jerk.
Kevin (Dallas)
I just got to work (traffic) & am ready to waste another hour.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I've got a Lionel Hutz action figure on my desk. Very inspirational.
Mark(HOF City )
If the new KC GM is reading this: run out right now and sign Vick and Gruden!!
Mike(Charlotte)
Aren't Jared's 15 minutes of fame up already?
Buzzmaster (10:02 AM)
Obviously not.
Dave (Tampa)
Make sure you tell them you are unavailable daily between 10-11AM.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I'd like to apologize for asking Gary Horton about his X-Factor players yesterday. I didn't expect him to give a dissertation about the two guys. It was not my intention to tie up the chat. That said, his response was total awesomesauce.
Buzzmaster (10:03 AM)
Gary = awesomesauce all the time.
Jon Gruden (Tampa Sonic)
Welcome to Sonic. May I take your order Buzz?
Rich (Douglas AK)
Steak and Shake?
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Reading yesterday afternoon's chat, it seems Ryan (San Diego) has a serious gambling problem.
Buzzmaster (10:04 AM)
Thursday at the Super Bowl is supposed to be the height of craziness. So, I've decided that I'm giving out an award - the biggest/best non-celebrity celebrity award.
Buzzmaster (10:05 AM)
We'll give it off to the best B-list person that's here....or C-list or D-list...we'd even settle for a W-list.
Jared Allen
With this Mullet, I will be famous for way more thatn 15 minutes.
Kevin (Dallas)
There was an afternoon chat? The one day I'm not at work!
Steve (NJ)
nice pics Buzz. Now where's the shot of Inez about to kick your sorry bum for staring at her?
Pete (NC)
So did you and Gary order in last night? *Picturing Buzz and Gary sharing a plate of spaghetti*
Dave (Tampa)
What did you do last night after your grueling 7 hour work day?
Buzzmaster (10:05 AM)
Worked another 3 hours behind the scene.
Jay McGwire
Does the winner of the non-celebrity/celebrity award have to be present to win?
Buzzmaster (10:06 AM)
Yes, you have to be sighted on Radio Row today.
Gary Williams (College Park)
Buzz, I've won National Championships! You've done nothing!
tom* (parkville, md)
Ryan's gambling problem isn't serious. It is somewhat comical.
Chris O'Donnell
Too bad I am not eligible for Buzz's award, since I am among Hollywood's elite actors.
Bob(Lowell)
Steve, you could tie up an hour giving your review of LOTR.
Jordan (Peoria)
Dave, you forgot the quotes around the word "work". See that is how it is done on the Morning Buzz when talking about Buzz's "job".
Buzz looking for guests (Tampa)
Hey! Wanna type on my computer? I work for ESPN...no, really...no, don't get security...I have credentials...
Morgan (Baltimore)
Here he comes to start the day! Master Buzz is on his way!
Tampa - Florida
Who do you think will win Super Bowl XLIII ? I got the Cards mainly because of the wide out, QB and dont for get James (Running Back)
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
Hey Buzz, did you spot any nominees for your award yet?
Buzzmaster (10:08 AM)
Not yet. The early morning must be the A-list time. We've got Mike Ditka on ESPN Radio Pittsburgh, Thurman Thomas was walking around........
Buzzmaster (10:09 AM)
Coach just touched my chair! He touched my chair as he walked by....wow. But he was off quickly to yet another interview. Bummer.
mike (pittsburgh)
i just heard thurman thomas..interesting interview
Steve at Interview
So, from 10-11 every day I chat online. I always tell my fiance about it afterwards because I talk to my fiance all the time. Also, I like staying up really late watching LOTR, but my fiance doesnt. But she brings home bacon and I can cook bacon really well.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Buzz could you get your secretary to start a section on your FB page for newbies? Explain words like crimed, when lucnh chat will be, etc...?
Buzzmaster (10:10 AM)
I like it - a rules of the MB post. Someone remind me to do that on the page. I will definitely forget about it by the time the day's over.
The Office Calendar (January 29)
It's a feral barn cat. I trapped it last night and I am giving it to you as a replacement cat for the one I destroyed. - Dwight, to Angela
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
So Ditka just stole Buzz's chair. Awesome.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Oh, I smile plenty, Pete. It's the stupid posts that get me all "uptight."
Jordan (Peoria)
A Morning Buzz orientation section. I like it Joe
Ryan (Denver)
Thomas picked the Steelers to win, can we really trust his opinion despite being a HOFer his team never could win the big game.....
Buzzmaster (10:11 AM)
No. You shouldn't listen to anything one of the best running backs to ever play the game says. Don't do it. He knows nothing about the game .
Jmerms (NYC)
Buzz is a jmerms hater
Jim Ross
My Gawd. Coach Ditka just nailed Buzz in the face with a steel chair. My Gawd, demon in a red mask!
Mark(HOF City)
Please keep the ridicule to a minimum, but I am not sure what LOTR stands for.
Mike Ditka (Tampa)
Why did that guy throw that chair at me?
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
Buzz don't forget the section for the newbies
Steve (NJ)
Buzz, you need to do a newbie section on the fan page.
Jmerms (NYC)
Buzz remember to make rules for the morning buzz
Buzzmaster (10:12 AM)
That's not going to help me here. Post it on the Fans page or the group page.
Will (Courtland, VA)
Hey W-list that's all me baby!!! Sorry I'm late, that should definitely qualify me for that!!!
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
I would not listen to Thurman Thomas about helmet placement, but his overall football knowledge is solid.
Godish (Chicago)
Why bother having a lunch chat today? We can talk to Jared about lunch for 30 minutes.
Brian (Madison, WI)
Buzz let me tell you why I suck, first I think that Georgetown can't possibly lose another game so I decide to bet on them, then I decide that Providence is overrated so I bet on Syracuse, then I decide to bet on Duke like a moron, and to top things off I decide that the Grizzlies can't possibly lose to the Thunder by 7+ points. I love gambling.
Buzzmaster (10:14 AM)
That might be it, but you suck at it.
Steve (NJ)
I shoot for the E list.
Jordan (Peoria)
I am pretty sure we are all D- list...Oh you arent talking about our grades from high school or Steinymerms grades from whatever grade he is in right now.
evan (fort lauderdale)
Being a dolphin fan, i HATE thurman thomas. But you have to respect him
Mark(HOF City )
If I do not seem to be my normal, chipper self, it is because I just read that Jolie will not be reprising her role as Lara Croft. Don't know how I will go on.
Jason (SLC)
Cloudy and ONLY 70??? We have sunny and 12. I'll trade you and your 70 and rain if you'd like!
Buzzmaster (10:16 AM)
Jeremy Green was over here on ESPN's Radio Row doing his podcast this morning. He must be an early riser, because he's been here every morning and has left just after I get here.
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
Brian, dont jinx my favorite NCAA team
Killa G, DC
If the cardinals win, does it make the parity in the NFL shameful? Does it validate the BCS in CFB? A team that lost 47-7, 48-20, home loss to Vikes and giving up 56 to the JETS...ugh
Shane (COB Speicher, Iraq)
I am curious who you think will win. I grew up in Pittsburgh and am a huge Steelers fan.
Buzzmaster (10:17 AM)
I keep going back and forth. Originally I thought the Steelers would win in a blowout, but the more I hear and read, I'm not so sure anymore.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
You sure he's not leaving because you're there Buzz?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
But Buzz since you get up at 9:45 AM every day, an early riser to you is just a regular riser to many others.
evan (fort lauderdale)
(smirking) Its supposed to get cold in south fla this weekend. Lows will be in the upper 40's. I'll remember to wear my jacket
Mark(HOF City )
I will trade NE Ohio's weather for Tampa's and I will throw in a day to be named later. Maybe an 80+ day in August.
Ryan (San Diego)
Brian, it sounds like you are the one with the gambling problem. Your first mistake was betting that many basketball games...easily the hardest sport to bet
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
I'm tired. I aim to be on the Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz list.
tom* (parkville, md)
Wow, a post from Iraq! Whatever you're doing over there Shane, thank you.
Jeremy Green
Damn it! That Buzz guy is here again. Just because I talked to him once he thinks we are pals. Let's roll
Dan (Buffalo, NY)
Jeremy is who we thought he was...An early riser
Fred (Omaha)
Buzz, when you check into your hotel room, what name do you sign on the receipt?
Buzzmaster (10:18 AM)
I didn't, ESPN is picking up the tab.
Buzzmaster (10:18 AM)
Room service all day long, baby!
Nate (Madison)
Mark, you should throw in a July day where it's 90 degrees, 90% humidity.
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
How bout you just go with your huge gut?
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
But a reservation was made under a name, no?
Buzzmaster (10:20 AM)
Yes. ESPN. Bill was sent straight to Mr. Bodenheimer, or Mr. Skipper. One of those guys that probably owns more suits then I ever will.
Bruce (CT)
YES!, i finally made it to the morning buzz after i am forced to wake up for an 8am class!
The Suits (Tampa Hotel)
That's right, Buzz-"master." You will bring us room service all day long, baby!
evan (fort lauderdale)
There are a lot of good restaurants in tampa yet buzz orders room svc...nice one
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
By the way, I read the transcripts and cracked up at your pimping an avacado post Buzz. Little racy, were you kind of punchy at that point?
Buzzmaster (10:20 AM)
Staring at a computer all day will do that to you.
ESPN Suits (Next MOnday Morning)
$56 in Macademia Nuts...$148 for TerryCloth Robe...Pop Tart Fantasies? What the heck is that?
Ryan Wilmington DE
Who's talkin today buzz?
Buzzmaster (10:21 AM)
Brandon Jacobs, Warren Sapp, Michael Strahan, Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson, KC Joyner, Jared Fogle, Bill Williamson.
Robert (Raleigh NC)
I know Buzz is loving eating room service in his snuggie. It makes eating so much easier!
Kevin (Dallas - Owns one suit)
Why did I get this hotel bill from Tampa?
Mr. Bodenheimer
Buzz we need to have a little chat about these in room movie selections of yours
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
Warren Sapp!! Awesomesauce!! It's about time you got a Buccaneer to chat
LadyBuzz
That mother in CA had 8 babies at once. Can we do that Buzzmaster of my life?
The Suits (Bristol)
We own a lot of suits, true. But we also own you. Back to work, slacker.
Ryan Wilmington DE
is it an "insiders only" party?
Buzzmaster (10:22 AM)
Never.
Scott (Brewtown)
Negative: 23 straight days below 32 degrees. Positive: 15 days til pitcher and catcher report.
Tom (River North)
Warren Sapp should be pretty entertaining. He's one of those guys that will say anything.
Pete (NC)
That reminds me of Home Alone 2 where Buzz gets the food service bill and it's like 20 pages on dot matrix paper.
Timmy (Porttland, OR)
The Official 'Cards Bandwagon' has hit ESPN! I love it! GO STEELERS!
Barnabus (Alaska)
Buzz, you are the most useless, irrelevent person to ever run a chat room on espn. That being said I have not done work for the past 21 minutes in eager anticipation of your next irrelevant and mostly idiotic posting
Buzzmaster (10:23 AM)
My pops always told me to strive for excellence. He just never said in which direction to strive for it.
Godish (Chicago)
To Drew Brees: remember that time the Bears beat you in the NFC championship game? That was awesome!
Jordan (Peoria)
Wow, I didnt know the Brewers struggled so bad this offseason that they only have one pitcher and catcher
Buzzmaster (interviewing Warren Sapp)
"Say something entertaining!"
chef (wash dc)
kurt warner is avg 390 yds pg in 2 super bowl app if he doesnt turn it over i will take cards 28-24
Bill & Ted
Excellent!
Will (Courtland, VA)
I believe "thank you" would be in order Buzz.
Tom (West Bloomfield, MI)
Barnabus is a rarity: A newbie that gets it.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Best post ever by a guy named Barnabus
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Drew Brees! Or as he was known on campus, "God."
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Seriously, should I join the Facebook group despite forbidding my kids to visit it? I'd feel kind of hypocritical.
Buzzmaster (10:26 AM)
You're an adult and a parent. You can do whatever you want. The whole, do as I say not as I do.
Jordan (Peoria)
Since when did we have our own personal Chef in the Morning Buzz? I will take a ham, bacon and cheese omelet with extra bacon
chazadelic (san antonio tx)
agh!!!!!! why arent messages coming up
Buzzmaster (10:26 AM)
Because you broke it. You broke your computer, the chat, the entire network, all of the internet is down because of you.
LadyBuzz (Bristol)
Cant wait to see how our octuplets turn out with that kind of parenting Buzz!
Buzzmaster (10:27 AM)
I don't know. But if we're having octuplets right now, they ain't mine. In which case, I'll be like the uncle that's a bad influence.
Cephi(KY) [via mobile]
Sup, everyone. I have no cable right now, due to the ice storm that came through here. So, I'm on my phone, charting with you guys. I'm also without highspeed internet, so bear with me. GO STEELERS
Buzzmaster (10:28 AM)
Glad to have you. Thanks for stumbling on the chat. You'll get hooked. God have mercy on your soul.
Sean (Philly)
Chazadelic? I'll just leave that one alone...
BJ (Carmel, NY)
Chaz the Funeral Crasher?
Alex (St. John's, Newfoundland)
Is Jared from Subway also some sort of NFL expert? What sort of insights is he going to bring to a Superbowl chat? "Well I've seen the 'Roethlisberger' sandwich, and if the saying 'You are what you eat' holds true... Let's just say I'm taking the Cardinals"
Buzzmaster (10:29 AM)
He's better then that - he can chat about what type of food spread to have at your party. As we all know, if you don't have good food, you don't have a party.
Mark(HOF City )
For the old-timers in here: first thing I thought of when I say chazadelic was Maggot Brain by the Funkadelics.
Zach (Fort Collins, CO)
If you are not a Steelers fan, how can you not pull for the Cards in this one, I know some actually die hard Card fans (yes they do exist) and man do they deserve this one
The Dish (Elgin, IL)
Actually Buzz, accroding to Clinton, you'd have to say 'Drew Brees have mercy on your soul'
fred (omaha)
I'm also charting Buzz's whereabouts.
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
Charting is what the call chatting in England
Andy (WI)
are you actually going to talk about football? Or are you just going to make small talk all day?
Buzzmaster (10:30 AM)
What football is there to talk about?
Brian (Madison, WI)
Now I have to eat at Subway today. I actually planned on it anyways, but Jared is like a sign from God.....or Tim Tebow, I'm not sure anymore.
Ryan (Denver)
I'd rather listen to Fran Drescher for hours than listen/read this chat.
Buzzmaster (10:32 AM)
Feel free. I'm sure she's on YouTube somewhere.
General consencus
Pretty much the world will be on the Cardinals side Sunday. GO FITZ
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Turkey on toasted wheat with lettuce, cucumbers and shredded carrots. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
Buzzmaster (10:33 AM)
Aaron Rodgers is down the aisle from us. Certainly not the caliber of celebrity that we're looking for today.
Efrain (Bayonne NJ)
JB, for shame...premature lunch chat? Not good.
chazadelic (SA tx)
fran really, ur into that huh?
Buzzmaster (10:34 AM)
The trouble is going to be actually recognizing the B-list celebrity to know that they were here...Tough assignment I've given myself.
evan (fort lauderdale)
i'm actually listening to fran drescher while i'm chatting...i love da abuse!!
Nate (Madison)
Aaron Rodgers is an A-lister.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Find Jeff Reed's hairdesser.
Los angeles california [via mobile]
When are we getting an nfl team
evan (fort lauderdale)
funny buzz, aaron rodgers was just saying the same thing about you
Sean (Philly)
Ryan (Denver) just got burned by the Chazmeister, the Chazerinski, the Chazadelic man.
Jerry (Philadelphia, PA)
Best cheesesteaks anywhere, gotta have something to make the football bereable.
Buzzmaster (10:36 AM)
I was looking for places to eat last night. I came across a listing for a place called "East Chicago Pizza." Didn't know anything about it, but figured I'd check it out. It's Chicago pizza, which I love. I got there and the place had no lights on and looked like it had been abandonded for a while...not a good sign.
NFL
L.A.: Never again. You had two, and couldn't keep them.
Buzzmaster (10:37 AM)
Well, come on now, one of them was owned by Al Davis. You can't really count that.
Jordan (Peoria)
Obviously Jerry also will have beer since that is the only way is spelling in bereable.
Matt (Grand Rapids)
Buzz, you should have a chat with the ShamWow guy. He is a celebrity!
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
I have no where to go and watch the SB on Sunday
Nate (Madison)
Buzz is probably just sour because Rodgers just dissed him or something.
Michael (New York)
Finally got to watch Scrubs last night on ABCs web site. I love that media player they have.
Steiny (NYC)
Jordan I got A's
Ryan (San Diego)
People in tampa don't like pizza
Jon Gruden (in his Gran Torino) [via mobile]
Get.. Off... my.... city...
Ryan (denver)
Great story Buzz, you should write a book......
Chargers (San Diego)
LA, we'll see you in a couple years. Keep that stadium warm
Scotty (Newport News, VA)
Deep dish is hard to come by in today's economy...
Jordan (Peoria)
Make fun of spelling and you make a spelling mistake yourself...I am the suck
Buzzmaster (10:39 AM)
Tony Dorsett is doing the Max Kellerman show on ESPN Radio New York. His PR rep is hovering and wisking him away.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Buzz whatever you do, please do not seek out Kathy Griffin for this chat. I don't care what list she thinks she's on, she is not worthy of participating in this chat.
Buzzmaster (10:39 AM)
She's more of a X-list, so she doesn't make our W-list cutoff.
Buzzmaster (10:40 AM)
Archie Manning just walked by. I guess he has some more free time this year with no sons playing in the Super Bowl.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
How many people had to say the last part of the alphabet out loud just now?
Michael (New York)
Tony Dorsett's PR rep is carrying him away in a thing of Wisk bleach?
Jay (NY)
Is Onterio Smith there? I have a drug test to take and need some advice.
Tom (River North)
Wow. Max Kellerman? There's a name I haven't heard in a while.
The Dish (Elgin, IL)
Tony Dorsett has 'people'?
Jordan (Peoria)
I will admit I had no clue what Steinmerms was talking about. Then I remembered my post from 20 minutes ago. 20 freaking minutes ago Steinmerms
Matt (Grand Rapids)
Fact: I have driven to Chicago just for pizza.
Eric (Chicago)
That's harsh Buzz! Who do you think he roots for more? I say Peyton!
Kathy Griffin (Pomona) [via mobile]
You can diss me all you want but at least I'm not tori spelling.
Cephi(KY) [via mobile]
L.A. doesn't deserve an NFL team. And, there will be as many fans pulling for the Cards as were pulling for the Pats in'85!
Tom (River North)
Fact: I live down the street from Gino's East, the original Pizzeria Uno and Giardano's.
Will (Courtland, VA)
4: you, the chaz idiot, Buzz and that other newbie from Alaska
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Buzz, I'm guessing you're making some people uncomfortable with your staring
Buzzmaster (10:42 AM)
I try to be descreet about it.
Buzzmaster (10:43 AM)
Fact: I had to shift my seat yesterday to avoid being on a TV camera. Made me uncomfortable. I didn't want to have a broken camera on my conscience.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Mirrored sunglasses
Mike(Charlotte)
Tony Dorsett is the only person with a National championship, heisman, Superbowl championship and in the Hall of Fame
chazadelic (SA tx)
i feel like i'm missing somehting....
Kramer (NYC)
broken camera? it's a write-off.
Mike(Charlotte)
Are there only ESPN tables around you or are you near some of the radio stations?
Buzzmaster (10:45 AM)
We're here with ESPN Radio LA, Pittsburgh, Dallas, New York and Deportes. That's our big group. Then there are other tables around everywhere else.
Buzzmaster (10:46 AM)
Radio Row is like a mall. There are anchor stores in the corners and around the perimeter - ESPN Radio, Fox Sports, XM, Yahoo Sports, Sporting News. Then everyone else is mixed in.
Mark(HOF City )
Don't worry, chaz. We are all missing something. That is why we come here day after day: to be enlightened by our fearless leader - The Buzzmaster.
Peter Griffin (Quahog, RI)
Buzz, there's a message in my Alphabets. It says "ooooooooooooooooooooo"
Buzzmaster
Actually, I had to shift seat because I broke the other seat. Stupid bear claws
Will (Courtland, VA)
It's not like a get together with the boys Mike, it's the freakin Super Bowl!
Mike golic [via mobile]
im eating everything at the buffet right now
Meg Griffin [via mobile]
I'm sad.
Karl Malone
The Mailman may be delivering mail only 5 times a week.
Jennifer Love Hewitt ( not engaged)
Hi Buzz... ( winking big eyes ) Lunch later? Where are you taking me?
Buzzmaster (10:48 AM)
Sweet, my first groupie.
Buzzmaster (10:50 AM)
Roger Staubach was walking by, stopped and pulled out an envelope. He pulled out his Super Bowl tickets.
Buzzmaster (10:51 AM)
I asked if I could take a picture of him holding his tickets, because he must have had like 8-10 tickets. But he refused. He said he didn't want people to think that he was trying to scalp them. Wha?
Eric (Chicago)
Buzz, did you just steal Staubach's SB tickets?
Godish (Chicago)
Great, Staubach gets tickets to the games and I don't. Thanks a lot ESPN.
Tom (River North)
She is single now Buzz. But I'd hold out for Anne Hathaway.
Mike Greenberg
I'm so metro, does my hair look ok? I wonder if i used enough product this morning!
Mike Tice
I just sold those tickets to Roger Buzz, he should have looked at the data on them.
Ryan (Denver)
Screw the tickets, take his super bowl rings!
TV Azteca gal (tampa)
BUZZ, stop staring at me.
Mary Hart (Entertainment Tonight)
Jennifer Love Hewitt today was spotted in a Tampa area Chilli's lunching with an unknown but damned handsome gent.
Roger Staubach (walking into stadium)
i have an extra tkt you want it buzz...... SIKE!!!
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Maybe Buzz shouldn't have asked if he could take a picture of him hoding Buzz.
Sean (Philly)
I can't believe I typed Data instead of Date on the Mike Tice post...
Buzzmaster (10:54 AM)
However, a date is a type of data, so not entirely incorrect.
Mary Hart (ET)
But the date ended poorly when an overweight man disrupted them. While he was escorted out he kept shouting "Your my density!"
Prince (Pittsburgh)
I can't wait for this game. THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!! I CAN'T STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS!!!!! OR USING EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Can't believe a Navy man can't spell PSYCHE.
Jordan (Peoria)
(slaps Prince)
Buzz's dream come true
Going to the Super Bowl with Jennifer Love Hewitt, the guy in the dress at media day and Roger Staubach!
nick (ny)

KING (PITTSBUGH)

Jmerms (NYC)
Nick learn to spell
Buzzmaster (10:58 AM)
By the way jumerms, how are you still in high school if you're 22? That's what your profile says on FB.
Sean (Philly)
Apparently nick (NY) went to the Yoda School of chatting.
Tom (Jax)
When is Bill Simmons gonna be on here?
Buzzmaster (10:59 AM)
Friday at noon. Everyone just clear your schedules. I've been informed he's feeling chat frisky and might just go for 3 hours or 4 or 5 or, 6 or until kickoff on Sunday.
Prince (Pittsburgh)
There are a lot of 22 year olds in high school Buzz. They're called morons.
TMR (Vacation)
Stay away from Anne Hathaway or you'll never get promoted.
Buzzmaster (10:59 AM)
Holy crap, it's already 11 a.m.
Sean (Philly)
Don't know what I am doing for lunch, but I have to get some cash for the work block pool while I am out. Probably means something from Wawa.
MORON (highschool)
its by choice darn it!!!!
tom* (parkville, md)
A 54-hour Simmons chat? I bet he could do it.
Aaron (KC)
Hes not enrolled Buzz he just hangs out around the cheer practice area.

Buzzmaster (11:02 AM)
No. But we've got 30 minutes until Jared.
tom* (parkville, md)
Lunch = leaning towards chicken wings.
Nigerian Prince (Nigeria)
Mr. Buzzy Master, I have tickets for bowl that is Super and all I need is your bank account information to process the transaction.
Michael (New York)
I assume we are chatting all day today too?
Buzzmaster (11:02 AM)
Naturally.
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
I'm not a HUGE Simmons fan, but his column about The Dooze was great.
David Fairborn, OH $
These chats don't have themes anymore. I miss the old morning buzz, where we could all gather and fight over the problems of the world that didn't really matter.
Buzzmaster (11:03 AM)
I'm not sure what chat you've been in, but that's not here.
patrick anytown usa
anyone talking about the game??? Beuller beuller?? beuller???
Buzzmaster (11:03 AM)
The game?
Nate (Madison)
I brought in leftover pasta, not the best, but I'm leaning towards Subway now.
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
NO!! You must conserve your chicken wings. Don't you know that there is a wing shortage?
Buzzmaster (11:04 AM)
The economy's bad. Everyone needs to make sacrifices.
Pete (NC)
Lunch is very tasty shredded beef tacos Lady Pete made in the crock pot. She even sent the fixins in mini tupperware.
Scott (Minny)
Who cares about the game! Wings or pizza for lunch?
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Theme? Not sure what that is. Can you eat it?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Pete said the magic words: crock pot!
Steve (Phoenix, AZ)
Hey everyone I made the top 10 Madden highlights Superbowl Addition! Go check it out! My play is number 5! easportsworld.com
Nate (Madison)
Buzz, the last 30 minutes have been a little TOO far outside the lines. Lots of newbies and they are closer to The Pulse then TMB quality.
Buzzmaster (11:05 AM)
Who are you, quality control?
Buzzmaster (11:06 AM)
By the way, let the countdown begin....3 hours 25 minutes until the Springstein press conference at 2:30. There's quite a buzz, no pun intended, starting already for it.
Buzzmaster (11:06 AM)
Some media are already starting to stake out seats for it.
Aaron (KC)
Wow Nate hows the view from way up there on the soap box?
Kevin (Dallas)
The President of Wisconsin has a lot of responsibilities.
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
Ok, I have to call Steve out. It is "edition". "Addition" is a math function.
Godish (Chicago)
Happy to report that during Scrabble last night, I used the word BACON.
Eric (Chicago)
Nate is quality control at work, thinks he can be qc in a chat room too!
David Fairborn, OH $
My girlfriend thinks she's fat so we're doing a healthy snacked superbowl. Salsa and chips will be the only thing appetizing I think.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
Buzz, I missed most of the chat, did we find a winner for your non-celebrity award yet?
Buzzmaster (11:07 AM)
No. I am totally disappointed right now. Totally. I'm hoping it picks up later this afternoon.
Prison mike, scranton [via mobile]
Lunch- goolash in da fed pen
Steiny (NYC)
Buzz, I am on FB
Buzzmaster (11:07 AM)
I know. I already said that I saw your page and that you're 22 years old.
jillnorman
Chicken wings, pasta salad with ranch, spinach-artichoke dip.
Bob Ley (Bristol)
I'll decide whats Outside the Lines!
Scott (Minny)
Nate, I can't believe anyone in Madtown is up before noon!
Harry (CA)
I have a good friend named buzz or shall i say nicknamed it is basically because he is an idiot, are you also an idiot? your thoughts.
Buzzmaster (11:08 AM)
I can neither confirm nor deny that report.
Buzzmaster (11:09 AM)
I nearly started a turf war the other day. I was trying to leave the media center and went through a door outside and started walking around the building. Two security people stopped me, looked at my press pass and just shook their heads and pointed. Apparently, I was about to walk backstage on the NFL Network set.
tom* (parkville, md)
Harry hangs with idiots.
Sean (Philly)
Not to Self - Do not attend David's healthy snack Superbowl party.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
Can I confirm it Buzz?
Nate (Madison)
Ice fishing is the only reason someone in Minnnesota would be up before noon.
Bob(Lowell)
Buzz, don't be redicules...everyone knows there is no quality let alone control.
Jordan (Peoria)
You might have just confirmed Harry's report with the second post, Buzz.
Harry Caray
Say Buzz, if the chat was broken and you could only chat with yourself, would you chat with yourself? I know I would.
jillnorman
I wasn't sure it was really you till you posted chicken wings, then I knew for sure.
Dick Vitale (jumping on my bed) [via mobile]
I'm excited, sports and chicken wings and good lord, yeah baby we got buzz!
Gary (Phoenix)
what are you up to in Tampa?
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
did you say steak? Awww, not you got me all excited
Michael (New York)
SPRINGSTEEN.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
My wife made a turkey breast in the crock pot last night. That might be a good option for lunch today.
Steve (Phoenix, AZ)
u tell em buzz
dave (nj)
is not a newbie i just sit on the sidelines and watch and once in a while throw my 2 cents in from time to time
Buzzmaster (11:12 AM)
What is this? Facebook profile status updates?
Matt (East Hartford via Albany)
How about a late (LATE) opening of the ONB?
Buzzmaster (11:13 AM)
Yeah, we've got a few minutes before Jared shows up.
Commissioner Zach Rastall (Marinette, WI)
Another all day chat?!? I'll make sure to be there after school, Buzz. Lucky you.
Pete (Canada)
Buzz....I think you should be giving out poptarts to all your guests
jurgen (jurgen)

I Say that the Steelers will overpower the Cardinals on all cylinders and the result will be horrific for Cardinal fans everywhere.
Buzzmaster (11:13 AM)
That's it....boooooooring.
Buzzmaster
Status: It's complicated
Nate (Madison)

Ryan (Denver)
and the award for most messages sent and not posted goes to................Me!
Buzzmaster (11:14 AM)
so does the award for most crap.
Andy (WI)
Heard theres a game sunday... How about we contain this circus and talk about that?
Buzzmaster (11:14 AM)
But without the circus this is just another game and not as many people would care.
lindsey soto (nfl newtork)
no buzz?
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Superbowl Dish: Rotisserie Pig with Spanish Rice.
Buzzmaster (11:15 AM)
If you're really having that, I'm totally impressed.
Joe (Huntsville,AL)
is now married to Crock Pot chicken and black beans
Ryan (Denver)
What is Jared going to talk about?
Buzzmaster (11:15 AM)
The Super Bowl, healthier alternatives to Super Bowl party snacks, whatever else comes up.
David Fairborn, OH $
Fact: Journey is performing pregame at the Superbowl.
Scotty (NN, VA)
Buzz and Ladybuzz are no longer in a relationship.
Buzzmaster (11:16 AM)
This YouTube cracks me up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrlSkU0TFLs
Mike(Charlotte)
is chatting on the Morning Buzz and listening to Dan Patrick
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Gotta go take care of some stuff, Buzz. Thanks again for the marathon chats this week. I'll check in on you and everyone else later. Be good until then.
Zack (New Orleans)
Bring on Jared!
Buzzmaster (11:16 AM)
15 more minutes!
Nate (Madison)
Buzzmaster wrote on Pulse's wall
AZby10 (Tempe, AZ)
Call me crazy... but the Cardinals will win for two very important reasons. 1. The Steelers only wear that damn logo on the right side... that makes all the TRUE profesional photographers, (inc NFL Films) line up on the right side. That is the side where Fitz prefers to mke his circus catches, (since that is where the cameras are).
Buzzmaster (11:17 AM)
I love that very terrible reasoning. Makes sense.
Nate (Madison)
Alright, I gotta get to work. Might chime in later. Everyone have a good day.
dave (nj)
is chatting on the morning buzz and listening to the herd on espn radio
Hoppy (Luck, WI)
streaming video is block at work, just recently, hating life
Mike(Charlotte)
All this talk about salsa makes me want mexican for lunch, but there isn't one within walking distance
Sean (Philly)
AZby10...you're CRAZY.
Tom (River North)
Those were important reasons? Wow. Who needs to watch ESPN, NBC, or anyone else with that kind of analysis.
mike (29 palms, calif)
why oh why can i not watch videos on my computer at work?
Aaron (KC)
I love that you saw enough merit to post it.
Pete (NC)
Mike, whereabouts in Charlotte? There is a Taco Bell on every corner.
Chris Mo [via mobile]
I see a upset on sunday. all of you steeler fans will have to live we the loss. Remeber last year? Cards 42 Steelers 28
charlie (chicago)
bears= nfc champs 09
Matt (East Hartford via Albany)
I'm hosting a SB party, so it's Wings Over Albany.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I'm dumber for having read that "reasoning." I award you no points, and may Drew Brees have mercy on your soul.
Ryan (Denver)
Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world...took the midnight train going anywhere!
Steph(anie)(Cincy)
Can't Jared take one day off from eating Subway? It's the SB for crying out loud
Buzzmaster (11:21 AM)
There's some crazy stat out there from some study that says the calories eaten during Super Bowl Sunday is like an entire week of caloric intake or something like that.
Steve (Phoenix, AZ)
I had Subway last night It was tasty
Jay (NY)
This chat is out of control, it's like if we had a full chat in the overnight bin with 2 name posters.
dave (nj)
keep dreaming charlie in chicago
Aaron (KC)
Is Jared binging you a turkey on rye? I heard Lady Buzz recruited him to change your dietary problems.
Buzzmaster (11:22 AM)
I wouldn't be surprised.
Tom (River North)
The Bears aren't winning the NFC North next year, let alone the NFC. Packers and Vikings are better, and the Bears have NeckBeard and Sexy Rexy at QB.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
this chat was derailed at 10:23am
Neal (Philly)
Our network is working again! Sort of. I think I need a drink.
Buzzmaster (11:23 AM)
Paulamlu is doing the Steelers press conference right now.
weasel (bethel park pa)
chicago in '09? Who's playing quarterback?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I actually met Jared once at a poker tourney at a bar. Pretty nice guy.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Jeez Buzz, you've been there 3 days and you can't spell his name?
Buzzmaster (11:25 AM)
No. And it's going to get worse around the draft with Ray Maualuga.
Scott (Minny)
What is the over/under on "Paulamlu is all over the fild" references during the game??
Dave (Tampa)
That video is why I will pass on Facebook.
Steph(anie)(Cincy)
Ask Paulamlu if he isn't concerned about getting his hair yanked out of his head during a game
Troy (Polamalu)
Its Polamalu
Ryan (San Diego)
wow, that couldn't have been further from spelling his name right if you put a Z in there
Buzzmaster (11:26 AM)
I'll try that next time.
Buzzmaster (11:26 AM)
Sweet! Just added Archie Manning to the chat schedule. 4:45 p.m. ET.
Scott (Minny)
Mercy, Buzz and I went to the same school of spelling!
Steph(anie)(Cincy)
Just keep Maualuga away from Erin Andrews Buzz
Tom (River North)
Buzz, have you turned down any free meals yet? You only have a few opportunities left.
David Fairborn, OH $
I personally wonder the over/under on the amount of times the announcers saying Hines Ward is the best blocking receiver in the NFL. OKAY, we GET it.
Godish (Chicago)
What about Jughead Manning?
Buzzmaster (11:27 AM)
Funny.
Buzzmaster (11:27 AM)
Send in your questions!
Leon (Maryland)
Do you start singing the Five Dollar footlong song whenever you see it on TV like the rest of us?
Jared (11:28 AM)
Yeah, I think it's in my dreams these days. I do get asked to sing it quite a bit. But you don't want me to do it.
Evan (Phoenix)
Who do you want to be with in your next commercial?
Jared (11:28 AM)
I just did one with Michael Phelps. It hasn't run yet. It was fun. My dream would be Peyton Manning.
Shelly (Boston)
Do you ever feel any pressure to make sure you continue to eat healthy, since you're the face of Subway?
Jared (11:29 AM)
Oh yeah. There's definitely, I look at it more as motivation. When you're in the spotlight you learn to deal with it. I look at it as more motivation to keep weight off.
Frank (Colorado)
What are you up to in Tampa?
Jared (11:30 AM)
It's my fourth year at the Super Bowl. Doing all the media interviews. Trying to share the message of my story. And on Super Bowl Sunday we tend to overeat, so we want to help with alternatives.
Robert (Louisville)
Do you get any input into commercials?
Jared (11:31 AM)
Not really. But what I've always said is great is that they let me be me. The words I say and the outfits I wear, it's been a really good thing.
Pete (NC)
Don't you miss all the food you gave up to lose all the weight? Do you ever give in just a little?
Jared (11:31 AM)
Yeah. These days I eat whatever I want for the most part, but just eat less of it. I'd say not really. for that one year, when I lost all the weight, I did, but I had to do what I had to do.
Greg (Boston)
Good for you, you lost weight and turned it into a job, next!!!!
Steiny (NYC)
So, Jared, do you eat at Subway?
Jared (11:32 AM)
My favorite now is the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. I still eat it about twice a week. The best thing about my job is that I don't have to pay for it.
Ryan (Delaware)
How many tickets to the super bowl did you get? Who are you bringing?
Jared (11:32 AM)
Yeah. Luckily I've gotten to go the next four years. This year as well.
Bob (Tucson)
Do you think they should have 6 feet subs on the sideline next to the gatorade for the linemen?
Jared (11:33 AM)
Yeah, they could. That would be good. It should be the official sandwich of the NFL.
Tomas (TEXAS)
i know this has already been asked numerous times but whos going to take it all this year?
Jared (11:33 AM)
I think the Steelers. 31-17.
tom* (parkville, md)
What is the most fun thing you've done as a Subway rep?
Jared (11:34 AM)
Wow. Probably coming to the Super Bowls. I'm a huge sports fan, so it doesnt' get any better then the Super Bowl.
Jack (Old New Orleans)
What kinds of reactions do you get when you go into Subway restaurants?
Jared (11:34 AM)
It's pretty crazy. The amount of crazy stares and the people. They can't believe. I find I freak people out a little bit.
Ryan (Denver)
Do you ever get anything unhealthy from Subway. Now they have pizza and they've always had meatballs. Ever take the route?
Jared (11:35 AM)
Yeah, I do. I don't eat the lowfat subs any time any more. I still say that even the hearty subs like that are still better for you then the burger and fries.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Do you follow an NFL team, if so, which?
Jared (11:35 AM)
Oh yeah. The Colts, for sure. Being from there. I'm a huge Colts fan. We had a chance this year.
Jmerms (NYC)
Jared, sometimes do you look back and say wow. I weighed 425 pounds?
Jared (11:36 AM)
It's been surreal. It's been a surreal 10 years in a lot of ways. I don't take it for granted. I want to make sure I don't go back to being a heavyweight.
Jmerms (NYC)
Is Peyton Manning your favorite Colt?
Jared (11:36 AM)
Yeah, definitely. WE have a lot of good Colts though.
Dave (Tampa)
What's the worst part of being so well known?
Jared (11:37 AM)
you lose your privacy. You can't just go to a store anymore. It's part of the tradeoff, but it's worth it.
Andrew (Detroit)
Who do you think the Lions should take with the first overall pick? Please don't say Micheal Crabtree......
Jared (11:37 AM)
They're going to need more help then they have. They need the first 10 picks.
Rich (Ocean City, MD)
Did you play sports in High School as a teenager?
Jared (11:38 AM)
I really didn't. I was so heavy at that point. Everyone always said I should have played football. But if I had fallen, I wouldn't have been able to get up.
Andy (WI)
Jared, you are one lucky son of gun. I'm going to school, eating noodles everyday and your getting free subway for losing weight...
Rylan (Houston, Texas)
Jared, what is your favorite college football team?
Jared (11:39 AM)
I went to Indiana. My Hoosiers. I'm still a IU basketball fan. Growing up in Indiana, Notre Dame was always pretty good too.
Josh (Naples, Fl) [via mobile]
What made you choose Subway as a way to loose weight?
Jared (11:39 AM)
I lived next door to a Subway in college. Right place at the right time. It made sense, I ate it on my way to work.
Joey (Columbia SC)
Will you have any commercials in the Super Bowl?
Jared (11:40 AM)
I don't think so. I know there was talk of doing some stuff with me and Phelps, but I don't think it's going to run then, as far as I know.
Godish (Chicago)
Do you just go by Jared now? Is Fogel in the past?
Jared (11:40 AM)
It is. Sting, Madonna, Prince, Cher. When you say Jared, people konw, but if you say Jared Fogle, they don't know.
Jared (11:41 AM)
I appreciate all the questions. Hopefully we'll do it again next year.
Buzzmaster (11:41 AM)
Thanks Jared!
Buzzmaster (11:41 AM)
He's such a laid back dude. Same way he was last year.
Buzzmaster (11:42 AM)
I can't believe we've been hearing about him for 10+ years now.
Tomas (TEXAS)
take it easy jared
dave (nj)
jared didnt take my sandwich order!!!!!!!
Scott (Minny)
20 minutes of my life I will never get back! Wait I'm trying to waste time...hmmm
Clinton (Indianapolis)
We've got to give Steinmerms some sort of award for the dumbest question of all-time: "Jared, do you eat at Subway?" Seriously, Steinmerms?
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
I wonder if he's demanding when he enters a Subway?
Jared
Do you want chips and a drink Dave?
Tomas (TEXAS)
well he's accomplished something people didnt think they could do, he proved that he could do it
Buzzmaster (11:44 AM)
With more and more people overweight, I can see it.
Buzzmaster (11:44 AM)
Jared has quite a gathering. It's interesting.
David Fairborn, OH $
merms the word
Tom (River North)
Buzz, did Jared have groupies with him this year?
Buzzmaster (11:45 AM)
Just a couple of reps with him, however, people were stopping him and taking pictures and what not.
dave nj
yes i would thanks for taking my order
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Buzz, did he suggest you try Subway...you know, cuz of your weight?
Buzzmaster (11:46 AM)
That's confidential - patient confidentiality.
Spivey (Atl)
Subway groupies...who would've thought....nice perk.
Buzzmaster (11:48 AM)
By being on the NFL's media list, you get on their mailing list. So every time they have transcripts of the players' press conferences, they type them up and e-mail them over. So far this week, I've gotten exactly 263 e-mails from the NFL with transcripts. Someone should just have a website set up and post them.
Davit, juarez, TX
GOOOOOOO CARDSSS!
Subway Groupie (SB)
Jared!! Jared!! Could you autograph my meatball sub!!?!?
PA BLITZ
I THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT THE BIG GAME NOT A BUNCH OF BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buzzmaster (11:48 AM)
I love these guys.
Ryan (Denver)
So how much was ESPN paying him to do 10 minutes of chatting?
Buzzmaster (11:49 AM)
Uhhhhhhh, nothing. That was a dumb question.
Buzzmaster (11:49 AM)
What is this the National Enquirer?
Joey
GO STEELERS GO!!!
Luda (ATL)
Does Jared have a gold chain of a 6" sub hanging from his neck?
Buzzmaster (11:50 AM)
Wha? Wha??? Matthew Berry and Stephania Bell are walking around with a non-ESPN PR person. They're celebrities now? Weird.
Buzzmaster (11:50 AM)
I think Michael Irvin just showed up wearing a velvet shirt.
Eric (Chicago)
The Cardinals and Steelers are missing one thing - DITKA
Chad (STL)
Just curious Buzz, but why aren't we actually discussing the big game in the Big Game chat?
Buzzmaster (11:51 AM)
We're sprinkling it in.
David Fairborn, OH $
Or maybe buzz, they know something that you don't know...?
Eric (Chicago)
Berry and Bell are an item now Buzz...did you not hear the buzz about'em?
Buzzmaster (11:52 AM)
I'm not sure that's a rumor I should be spreading. Ah well.
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Finally! A chance to thank Brandon Jacobs for helping me get to Fantasy stardom.
Buzzmaster (11:52 AM)
He'll be here at 12:30 p.m. ET.
David Fairborn, OH $
Are you allowed to post that word Buzz? jacks?
Buzzmaster (11:53 AM)
Uhhhh, nope. Apparently, I clicked on that, but don't recollect doing so. Stupid technology.
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
Buzz, are you thinking about mocking Fitzgeralds hair?
Edgerrin James
Whoops! If I known we were gonna make to the superbowl I never would have said i didn't want to come back next year. Who da thunk it.
Kunta (Pittsburgh,PA)
The angle the media is taking with Ken Whiz "knowing" about the Steelers, being an advantage for the Cards is way overrated.
Ben (Dover)
is jared a nice guy
Buzzmaster (11:54 AM)
Very.
Frank R (Dearborn, MI)
When Kiper Jr was dating girls, do you think he had them do a combine in his kitchen?
Buzzmaster (11:54 AM)
That's a good question. Ask that of Mel during his chat at 1 p.m. ET next Wednesday.
Steph(anie)(Cincy)
If Michael Irvin is wearing velvet pants, somehow I will not be surprised
Ryan (Denver)
I know Chad, it's unfortunate...i would love to be "Buzzmaster" i would actually talk about the big game and not criticizing peoples "dumb questions"
Stephania Bell & TMR
We will be now known as Berrphania.
Eric (Chicago)
Well Ryan, you're Ryan and not Buzzmaster so there's nothing you can do about it! FUGGETABOUTIT
Buzzmaster (11:57 AM)
For the second day in a row, Mr. NHL Radio Guy has taken up a spot here on Radio Row. I believe he's reporting remotely for the official NHL show on XM radio or something.
Buzzmaster (11:57 AM)
I know this because yesterday he took on the table next to us. Today he's at the table on the other side.
Mel Kiper Jr
No combine, but they have to be able to identify all of my hair products and promise not to use them.
Dave (Tampa)
Hey Berrphania, How is Megan Fox's hamstring?
Jay (NY)
You know what...i've figured this out...there's a reason there's an East Coast bias...this chat going longer is bringing out the rest of the country so it's naturally dumbing it down.
Pete (NC)
What I find humorous is all the people thinking Buzz has any football knowledge. It'd be like asking Clinton how to use an iPod.
Tom L. (Bayonne, NJ)
Yo, when is Jacobs coming on? Isn't he used to coming to meetings early?
Buzzmaster (11:58 AM)
12:30. Can't you people read?
Chad (STL)
Are there any chats on ESPN that are actually discussing the reason you're all employed in Tampa?
Buzzmaster (12:00 PM)
I don't understand what you want from me. Who the heck is going to read/listen to straight football talk all day long? Eventually you start repeating yourself. It gets boring. We're here to liven it up. You sir, need to loosen up a bit.
Jordan (Peoria)
And Tom L. immediately shoots down Jay's theory
Will (Courtland, VA)
Who are these people and why do they care so much about one little game?
Pete (NC)
Buzz, you give chatters too much credit.
Will (Courtland, VA)
Jay that made absolutely no sense and thank you for posting.
The Dish (Elgin, IL)
What time in the central time zone will Brandon Jacobs be on Buzz?
Buzzmaster (12:00 PM)
12:30 East Coast.
Buzzmaster (12:00 PM)
Oh wait. Adrian Wilson's press conference transcript just popped up. Let's see what it said....
Buzzmaster (12:01 PM)
(on what he will do during the 24 hours leading up to kickoff) "I will be with family. That is what I always do before games. It is not going to change because my family is a big part of the reason for why I am here and they are a big part of my success. I am going to stay calm like I always am and go out there and play football."
Will (Courtland, VA)
This is why we are not talking about the game and any players...read it and then you'll understand. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=macgregor/090126&sportCat=nfl
Tom (Peoria)
Buzz, I have a football question for you. Is the TV Azteca girl there?
David Fairborn, OH $
Don't hate on Buzz because he got the job that you secretly want. Well, except for the pay.
J.B (Dunmore Pa)
Point of clarification for Chad. Buzz is a tyrant with little patience for excessive sports talk. He prefers the inane. By the way were is Jacobs
Prince (Pittsburgh)
So Buzz just so we're clear, Brandon Jacobs is coming at 1:45 correct?
Buzzmaster (12:02 PM)
You funny.
Buzzmaster (12:03 PM)
Oh...there's Larry Fitzgerald's transcript....
Buzzmaster (12:03 PM)
(on how much he likes playing against aggressive defenses) "Every defense presents a different challenge and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the number one defense in the league. They present a lot of challenges for us but we are excited for the opportunity to play in a game of this magnitude against a very tough defense."
Buzzmaster (12:03 PM)
Boomer Easiason is stopping by the Michael Irvin show.
Anthony - New Jersey [via mobile]
This is the best and biggest game in sports. people who hate footbll watch it. it might get boring to you buzzmaster but not for TRUE FANS! get a new job ill talk about it 24 7 365
Buzzmaster (12:04 PM)
I've got a stopwatch. Go for it.
David Fairborn, OH $
Boomer is still kind of an icon in Cincy. But not as much as Ken Anderson.
Chris Mo [via mobile]
Jacobs just got off the Dan patrick show. He will be in tampa next yr. Frm inside soruce. Vick will be in chi.
Pete (NC)
Listen, his name is Buzzmaster, not LetsTalkAboutSporsSomethingIKnowNothingAboutMaster
Sean (Philly)
Yo Ant, relax. Buzz doesn't talk a lot of sports, but look at the guest list. When the guest chatters are on, you can talk football.
Tom (River North)
People want some football talk? Here is what everyone will say: The Steelers need to bump Fitzgerald and get pressure on Warner. The Cardinals need to protect Warner and shut down the Steelers running game. You will hear that 2,345,792 times over the next three days.
Bob(Lowell)
I'm an icon in my own little world.
Chad (STL)
I don't need to loosen up, I just don't see why you call this the big game chat... It seems more like just a way for us all to entertain you and make one line jokes.. that's all.
Buzzmaster (12:06 PM)
Chad, this is about having fun. If we can't have fun with the Super Bowl, then when can we?
Buzzmaster (12:07 PM)
And, how, if Stephania Bell works for the same ESPN that I do, is she so darn tan? That ain't right.
Aaron (KC)
Bottom line: 1-Yes the whole country then some will be watching 2-Basicaly there are two cities who really care enough to spend 24-7 for TWO weeks talking and listening to it.
Will (Courtland, VA)
And your point is what Chad? Don't forget this gets us away from work too.
Forest Gump (Alabama)
Buzz is like a box of chocolates...you never know whatcha gunna get.
Buzzmaster (12:08 PM)
Oooooh. Kurt Warner's transcript just was sent. Let's take a look....
Nate (Madison)
Buzz likes to talk about poptart flavors, brats vs bacon, will andrew jones make a comeback
Jarad (Boston)
Who hates one liners and sports chats?? Chad...........
Tom (Peoria)
I blame ESPN for Chad.
Chuck B (provo, UT)
would kurt warner retrie if the cards win the super bowl.
Buzzmaster (12:09 PM)
I don't know, but there was something in there too about his comments on the Hall of Fame. Too long to post here.
Chad (Las Vegas)
That Chad in no way, shape, or form represents all Chad's.
Buzzmaster (12:10 PM)
And now we'll hear from coach Ken Whisenhunt....
Buzzmaster (12:11 PM)
Or not. It's not pasting. Stupid technology.
Buzzmaster (12:11 PM)
Matthew Berry's on some radio station in Baltimore right now.
Ken Whisenhunt (Arizona)
How did we get here? Were the CARDINALS!!!
Dan (Via Desktop)
Buzz, don't just conform to a few haters. Everyone else likes talking about nonsense. It makes the work day go faster
Matt Leinert
Hey Buzz, you wanna come party with me tonight?
Ryan (San Diego)
Kurt Warner: We want the ball and we're gonna score
Will (Courtland, VA)
Wow he didn't have much to say did he?
Jarad (Boston)
Must have had swears in his transcript.
Chris Mo [via mobile]
Buzz, can u see Jim ROME? Buzz WHY DID U GO 2 THE NFL NETWORK SET TRYING TO GET MARSHALL FAULK AUTOGRAPH
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Come now buzz, you going to go slow again.Pick it up old man
JB (TX)
Football is about 3 things: turnovers, 3rd down effifiency, and red zone efficiency. Now can we PLEASE get back to pop tart chat? Thank you. Also, for the record, I'm more or less hooked on Mango Gatorade now...
Mike(Charlotte)
Has anyone requested to speak to you Buzz?
Buzzmaster (12:12 PM)
Heck no.
Mike(Charlotte)
I thought Stephania lived in Cali, no?
Buzzmaster (12:13 PM)
Ooooh, that would explain it. That's a Cali tan.
Chad (Las Vegas)
JB forgot the Trenches. The game is won or lost in the trenches.
Will (Courtland, VA)
Ok, what the crap Buzz. Peer pressure makes you do nothing but bad things. Just say no.
Steiny (NYC)
Buzz, is Boomer still there. He is a good friend of mine. Tell him I say hello.
Buzzmaster (12:13 PM)
That I will not do. If you know him so well, call him right now and tell him to do my chat.
JB (TX)
Buzz, when you hit the streets of Tampa tonight are you going collar down or popped?
Buzzmaster (12:13 PM)
Always down. Always.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Buzz has 2 laptops...one for him and one for anyone who'd like to interview or chat with Buzz...Buzz doesn't speak, he just chats
Zach (Houston)
Ryan Clark just said people are facinated with long hair due to 75% of questions dealing with Fitzgerald and Polumalu
Scott (Minny)
Boomer and Irvin would make a great rap act I bet!
Jeff (Harrisburg, Pa)
What's a guy gotta do to have his message posted?
Buzzmaster (12:15 PM)
Whine, complain, moan about it.
Lex (Peoria, IL)
Hey Buzz, Where's Jared? I'm hungry!
Pete (NC)
Do the Suits pressure you to get big namers to chat? Are you paid by the amount of stars you get to chat?
Buzzmaster (12:16 PM)
I'm not sure. We'll have to wait and see what the paycheck looks like when we get back from Tampa.
Aaron (camp hill, PA)
Anyone watch the Duke/WF game last night? One of the best college BBall games of the year so far.
Will (Courtland, VA)
I bet I could pick you out on ESPN row Buzz...the guy with the helmet with the two mountain dew cans on top and the straws coming down. Histarically laughing out loud and eating Sonic
Buzzmaster (12:16 PM)
You don't konw how close you really are on that one.
The Suits (Bristol)
Buzz gets $20k, flat. No more, no less.
danny boy (tx)
buzzzz!!!!1 only 1 of my lst 20 post have ben posted wahhhh wahhh wahhhhh
Scott (Indy)
Buzz, if we get 12 inches of snow when the Super Bowl is in town, can I count on you to help me shovel my driveway?
Buzzmaster (12:17 PM)
I'm not leaving my room, if that's the case.
Buzzmaster (12:17 PM)
Boomer Esiason is today's Joe Montana. Everyone wants a piece of him and all the cameras are going off. Those lights are darn bright.
Buzzmaster (12:18 PM)
It's really funny. You can tell the bigness of the celebrity by how fast he walks to the next interview. If he's speed walking, he's a big name and doesn't want to get stopped every five feet. If he's not big, he mozies.
Scott (Indy)
How about grabbing the laptop and heading to the sledding hill? I'm sure you could snag all the A-list sledders to chat with us...
Jeff (Harrisburg, Pa)
Buzz, I read ESPN.com all day long, how come I've never heard of you?
Buzzmaster (12:19 PM)
You're not looking in the right places. We're on the SportsNation page all day every day. 10 a.m. ET we've got The Morning Buzz.
Buzzmaster (12:20 PM)
Request No. 1 for next year's Super Bowl...ask the NFL to get more comfortable chairs for Radio Row. Although, I guess if Nate Newton is here, that man is BIG. They probably needed to get chairs to accomodate everyone.
The Suits (Bristol)
Did we give him the OK to self promote? I didn't think so...
Jason (Boston)
Where the heck is Bill Simmons?
Buzzmaster (12:20 PM)
FRIDAY.
Jordan (Peoria)
Not all day everyday though. Mostly just 10:05-11:00
Jason (Boston)
It wasn't meant because I don't like you Buzz, jeez. Just asking.
Brett (Houston, TX)
Do they mozy? Or saunter? I prefer a nice, slow, mozy myself though.
Ryan (San Diego)
Too bad the super bowl wont be back in San Diego until we get a new stadium. Seeing as how everyone in California is broke, that is not happening any time soon. What a shame
Ryan (Denver)
Do people that work with ESPN call you Buzzmaster or do they know your real name?
Buzzmaster (12:22 PM)
How dare you sir? Buzzmaster is a family name. Don't disparage my family.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Looking for Buzz in all the wrong places
Buzzmaster (12:22 PM)
Sounds like a good romantic comedy.
Will (Courtland, VA)
Well lose the last 10 minutes of that, as we squander it with lunch talk...which in turn results in drewl on the key board which shuts the computer down.
Tom (River North)
Who says that Buzz is allowed to interact with other people?
PaulieP (Scottsdale)
Buzz, you do know that Friday is a date, not a place, right?
Buzzmaster (12:23 PM)
Smarty pants.
Jeff (Harrisburg, Pa)
Ryan, maybe the Governator was sent back in time to build you guys a new stadium?
Will (Courtland, VA)
Well have to take off for lunch...ha ha well not ha ha, I can't eat in my room.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Yeah, he's in the basement in the room right next to Lance Armstrong.
Buzzmaster (12:24 PM)
Brandon Jacobs in 5 minutes! Five minutes for Brandon Jacobs!
Buzzmaster (12:25 PM)
Bertrand Berry just spoke.....(on what has not yet been asked this week) "No one has asked me if we can win this game."
Scott (Indy)
Buzz should get the guy that does the "2 MINUTES! 2!" at the NBA games for Super Bowl week.
Ryan (Denver)
"The Man Child", Brandon Jacobs!
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
So, 5 minutes for Brandon Jacobs? Thanks
Jimi Hendrix (The great beyond)
Now dig this baby, stop actin' so crazy!
Clay (Hillsdale,MI)
Is anybody else giddy for the Bill Simmons marathon tomorrow?
Buzzmaster (12:26 PM)
I think we all are. It's been a long time since we had Mr. Simmons here in SportsNation. You'll all have a lot ot catch up on.
Jason (Boston)
Giants won LAST year, right? Why is he here? (I'm still bitter....)
Steezfan(Pgh,PA) [via mobile]
any word on the Hines Ward injury? Hey plays a key role, MVP SBXL, SBXLIII?
Buzzmaster (12:28 PM)
He has been saying all week that he's going to play, that he's 100%. Now that's what he's saying. If it's 100% true, well, only he knows.
Jeff (Harrisburg, Pa)
Jason (Boston) why are bitter? What, 18-1 doesn't look as good on a t-shirt?
Ryan (Denver)
SO how long until Brandon Jacobs is on now??? I want updates Buzzmaster!
Buzzmaster (12:29 PM)
Not funny.
Kevin (Dallas)
Tomlin this morning: "Hines is great by the way."
Tommy (ATL)
When Bill Jean King is on in 30 minutes, I definately am going to write in: "I quit, I get it, but I quit".
Buzzmaster (12:30 PM)
You should. But try to get a question in there or she might not take it/get it.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Well, it's 12:30 *tapping foot*
Buzzmaster (12:30 PM)
Send in your questions. He's on his way.
Bruce (CT)
Sportsnation: so easy a cave-buzz can do it
Agent X
I don't think I am going to allow Brandon Jacobs to talk with all these Tools.
Scott (Minny)
You don't want to do the foot tappin in the restroom at the airport!
JB (TX)
What is Brandon pimping? Avocados? Pomegranetes? Egglplants? We want to know!
Buzzmaster (12:33 PM)
Fedoras.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Impatient lot we have here today, isn't it?
Buzzmaster (12:34 PM)
We're being a team player and letting ESPN Radio New York have a couple of minutes with Brandon first.
Kevin (Dallas)
Jacobs is holding out for the strawberry flavored.
DCR (MI)
snow sucks, does it not?
Buzzmaster (12:34 PM)
Agreed.
Buzzmaster (12:34 PM)
Mr. Jacobs is here. He's doing New York first.
Chad (STL)
Why'd you stop posting my comments. They're as productive as the rest...
Buzzmaster (12:35 PM)
You're finally learning.
Gimmicky poster (basement) [via mobile]
No longer do our posts get posted.. A sad day, Buzz has betrayed us...
Chad (STL)
There's nothing to learn.. You're not using knowledge in this chat, thus I am not being taught anything. That's the problem! Can't you grasp it!
Buzzmaster (12:37 PM)
Oh but there is. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
LiL weEzY (ATL)
i want a lolipop
Tom (River North)
If you came to an ESPN chat to learn something, then you have a whole lot of other issues...
Buzzmaster (12:38 PM)
That Max Kellerman. He can really talk. Let him go Max! He's all mine!
Bruce (CT)
you can learn something from ESPN chats, but not the MB
Neal (Philly)
I still remember Max on Around the Horn.
Justin (Rochester)
i suppose today is thursday...didn't realize that
Caz (Dallas)
Do y'all think Brandon grew up next to a power plant?
Buzzmaster (12:40 PM)
Brandon is a power plant.
Buzzmaster (12:40 PM)
Send in your questions. I think Brandon is wrapping up.
Chris Breezy (GA)
Firm handshake Buzz, Firm handshake!!
Buzzmaster (12:43 PM)
Here he is!
Clay (Charlotte)
Brandon- Besides you, who is the toughest runner in the NFL?
Brandon Jacobs (12:43 PM)
I'm going to have to go with Marion Barber. Peterson too.
Gerald (Chicago)
Besides winning the game, what was your favorite memory of last year's game?
Brandon Jacobs (12:44 PM)
My favorite memory of last year's game, of course my fourth and one. Me getting the fourth and one. That's my memory, but no one else remembers it.
Josh Phoenix,Az
Hey Brandon Who Is Going tO Win The Game?
Brandon Jacobs (12:44 PM)
I pick the Steelers. They have a great team. Good character. Bunch of great guys. They respect the game of football. I've been picking them only because of that.
evan (orlando)
What are you up to in Tampa this week?
Brandon Jacobs (12:45 PM)
Just around, doing interviews. Appearances here and there. Having some fun.
Brady (Tampa)
Who are the softest and weakest tacklers in the NFL, on trying to tackle you?
Brandon Jacobs (12:45 PM)
I'm going to have to go with Dallas.
Brandon Jacobs (12:45 PM)
They don't have too much girth. Thickness and strength.
Jmerms (NYC)
Brandon, the situation with Plaxico. What were your thoughts when it first happened? Do you think he will be back as a Giant?
Brandon Jacobs (12:46 PM)
Just trying to hold everything in. Supporting each other and getting each other through it. Dealing with it the best we know how.
Ben (Fresno, Ca)
Ever consider playing tight end for a few snaps?
Brandon Jacobs (12:46 PM)
Never thought about it. Or any other position.
Bryce (ND)
How would you rank the best running backs in the NFL and how high would you put yourself on that list?
Brandon Jacobs (12:47 PM)
I put myself very high on the list. There are a lot of backs, but not as many my size that can move. I wouldn't put myself as the best.
Bruce (CT)
Are you lobbying for management to keep Ward?
Brandon Jacobs (12:47 PM)
If I'm lobbying the front office, I'm trying to get them to keep me. I want him to be here and be with me, but he has to take the best.
Brad (Gadsden,Alabama)
Brandon, What has been the best concert you have ever been to?
Brandon Jacobs (12:48 PM)
Hmmm, I've only been to one concert and it was Jay-Z in New York City.
Ken c (Utica, NY)
Are you wearing your SB ring now?
Brandon Jacobs (12:48 PM)
Yes I am. I have it on. I can't ever let people forget.
Irving (New York, NY)
If you can pick one player in the NFL who isnt on your team now to be on your team who would it be and why?
Brandon Jacobs (12:49 PM)
Ray Lewis. If I could put him on my team, I would love it. He's on the defensive side of the ball and he's hooting and hollering. I like that.
Steiny (NYC)
Brandon. What was your best moment in your short career in the NFL?
Brandon Jacobs (12:49 PM)
Every team we beat the Dallas Cowboys. Every time. If I have little or nothing to do with it, it's great.
D (Tempe)
Brandon, is it true that EA based their Truck Stick in Madden on your running style?
Brandon Jacobs (12:50 PM)
I have no idea if that's what they're doing. I haven't played in years.
Brandon Jacobs (12:50 PM)
Not to worry I will be back in New York next year.
Buzzmaster (12:51 PM)
Thanks Brandon!
Buzzmaster (12:51 PM)
Hang on everyone. I'm going to go make some rounds, see who's around.
Buzzmaster (12:55 PM)
I'm back.
Chad (STL)
Buzz - See.. THAT WAS A FOOTBALL CHAT! /John Madden.
Buzzmaster (12:56 PM)
I think Michael Strahan is up next.
Buzzmaster (12:58 PM)
Anyone else hungry?
Tom (River North)
I'm actually grilling a burger right now.
Ryan (Denver)
Starving!
Greg (Boston)
Starving, but poor.
Andy Schendel (my house)
Im ready for the gap!
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
I stole a croissant to make a sandwich
Dan (Via Desktop)
Buzz, I was just surfing the net and came across the recipe for The Bacon Explosion. Basically two pounds of bacon wrapped in two pounds of sausage covered in bbq sauce and baked. Sound good?
Buzzmaster (1:02 PM)
Right now anything sounds good.
Ryan (Los Angeles)
How huge of a dude was BJ? 6'4" 260?
Buzzmaster (1:02 PM)
Could snap me like a twig.
Ryan (San Diego)
Buzz...you made deadspin...again!
Buzzmaster (1:03 PM)
Thanks. I'll let my agent know.
aaron (akron Ohio) [via mobile]
Larry fitz the leagues best wr?
Michael Strahan (1:05 PM)
Without a doubt. I think he has shown he is the best WR and showed that even before the playoffs. Some said Steve Smith is the best but Larry seperated himself against the Panthers.
Steven Dubuque,Iowa
So many people are speaking about the match-up between Steeler's Defense. How do you think their offense will fair against the cardinals defense?
Michael Strahan (1:06 PM)
I think that is a better matchup, actually. They have shut down the run of late. The Steelers play very low-scoring, tight games but the Cards can score at will sometimes. I think the Cardinals defense might surprise some people. If Pitt can't get to Kurt they are going to have problems.
Tom L. (Bayonne, NJ)
Mike, did you ever have the tendancy to choke slam Terry Bradshaw?
Michael Strahan (1:06 PM)
No. Not at all. Well, behind closed doors maybe. But not on the show.
Chad (Ottumwa, IA)
Hey Michael, what do you think happened to the Giants at the end of the year? Was Plaxico that important to the team or was it something else?
Michael Strahan (1:07 PM)
They just didn't execute or play well. He is a very important part but they still had the ability to win games. The first round of the playoffs is always very dangerous. The team you are playing has already played and is warmed up. The Giants didn't start fast and just never got their composure.
Paul(Marion,OH) [via mobile]
Were you ever worried about Ware breaking your sack record this year? How good do you think he is and can be?
Michael Strahan (1:08 PM)
No. Actually, I had taped something we were going to show if he did it. If anyone can do it, he can. He is just a phenomenal guy. Just a great guy and I respect him so much. For him to break it would have been just fine.
Steiny (NYC)
Do you ever want to be on Dancing with the Stars?
Michael Strahan (1:08 PM)
No. Not for me. I'll leave that to the other guys. I would win. It wouldn't even be close.
SteveFitz (Cicero, IL)
Mike, come on, it's us, come clean, did Favre purposely let you sack him for the record?
Michael Strahan (1:10 PM)
No. The thing is, my job is to hit the QB if he has the ball. It's amazing to me all the talk about me. I catch the flack. No one gives you anything in this league. I could really care less about a sack record. It just wasn't that important. Had I gone out and bombed every other year, nobody would care about me. That sack record question is so overplayed. I wish people would move on. Go play fantasy football or something!
Scott, Pittsburgh
Mr. Strahan, You are one of the greatest defensive players in modern times, who most impresses you on this Steelers D?
Michael Strahan (1:11 PM)
Pass rushing. Between Harrison and Woodley and the play of the safeties, wow. Polamalu might be my favorite player in the league. The defense dictates how the game will go to the opposing offense. They are just so poised and fun to watch.
The Dish (Elgin, IL)
Mike, fantasy football question for you....a recovering Brady or Cutler next season?
Michael Strahan (1:11 PM)
I'd go with Brady. He's in an established system with great WRs.
sean ny
mike do you think your a first ballot hall of famer
Michael Strahan (1:12 PM)
I have no idea. Not for me to determine. I just played. Everybody else can decide that.
Clifton NJ
Hey Mike, before last year did you truely think Eli could take a team all the way?
Michael Strahan (1:13 PM)
I thought he might have the ability and that it was just a matter of time. Did I know he would play that well? No. I didn't expect that for a few more years.
Brett (Houston, TX)
Michael, what made you decide to stay retired this year? You had to still have the proverbial "itch" to play, right?
Michael Strahan (1:14 PM)
I didn't have the itch until the playoffs and then I saw how cold it was and lost the itch. It was the perfect time for me to retire. Just perfect. I got out with my body intact. So why push it?
Ryan (Wilmington DE)
How many tickets to the super bowl did you get? Who are you bringing?
Michael Strahan (1:14 PM)
I've turned down about 6. I have four right now.
Jared (SE)
Mike, whos your favorite super hero?
Michael Strahan (1:15 PM)
Good question! Hmm.. probably Spider-Man .. oh, wait .. Hancock!
Jose ( Georgia ) [via mobile]
If Kurt Warner leads the cardinals what are the chances he rides off into the sunset a' la Elway?
Michael Strahan (1:16 PM)
I'm not sure about that. He is a real competitor. He also thinks he has a higher calling so he will listen to his heart. That would be a perfect time, though. He just had a lot of football left in him I think, win or lose.
Jay (Kansas City,MO)
what's the most intimidating stadium to play at in the NFL?
Michael Strahan (1:16 PM)
Philly. Just the fans.
Chris (Arlington Va)
Should the Cowboys get rid of TO?
Michael Strahan (1:18 PM)
I think from a team chemistry standpoint, it does seem like he is upsetting the team. You can have the best players, but if no team chemistry, you are going to fail. I hate to say this, but if you look at his history and the outcome, it has never really been good. It would be a tough decision. I'm glad they are making it and not me.
Youngstown, ohio [via mobile]
Hey mike do you think the cards are a one year wonder or do you think they could make a habit out of going far in the playoffs?
Michael Strahan (1:19 PM)
This team confuses me. I have no idea. If you are a fan I would just enjoy this as much as you can. When you do make it this far, it gives you a new confidence that can translate into success. The Cards have never know what's like to be this confident and be able to attract free agents, etc.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
What advice would you offer to those players in their first Super Bowl?
Michael Strahan (1:20 PM)
My advice would be to not get overwhelmed. You will feel the pressure and it will seem almost too much to bear, but once the ball is kicked and the flashbulbs go off, everything is the same. The rules are the same and everything else.
Michael Strahan (1:20 PM)
Thanks for the questions!
Buzzmaster (1:21 PM)
Warren Sapp is making his way over any minute!
Buzzmaster (1:23 PM)
So I'm not usually one to highlight plugs .. but this thing Sapp is promoting is pretty darn cool .. a chance to win a contest where you get to announce a draft pick ... be on the field at the Super Bowl for the coin toss and one other thing I can't remember ... we'll ask him about when he gets here ...
Warren Sapp (1:24 PM)
And call a play at the Pro Bowl AND win 100K!
Mike (Chicago)
Hey Warren! What is your most lasting memory of Super Bowl Week when you partook in it as a player? Give us something funny if you got it.
Warren Sapp (1:28 PM)
All the ticket requests. The worst.
Max (Phoenix)
Besides the teams fans what do you think people would rather see; Steelers win there sixth or a cinderella story get there first?
Warren Sapp (1:28 PM)
Good question. I think people just want a good game. Nobody remembers No. 2.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
How many people bugged you for tickets?
Warren Sapp (1:29 PM)
Yes. Still bugging. I need two right now.
Vance (Salisbury, NC)
Ill be the first to say you got cheated (would say another word) on Dancing. You killed them every week. do you still keep in contact with Dungy?
Warren Sapp (1:29 PM)
I talk to him all the time. Great guy.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Whose the X-Facter for Sunday?
Warren Sapp (1:29 PM)
Santonio Holmes.
boston mass [via mobile]
How do you think warner will do on the pass rush?
Warren Sapp (1:30 PM)
I think if they can rush him without blitzing that is the way to go. If they blitz, Warner will light them up.
Sean (Philly)
Warren, go talk to Strahan, he said he turned down 6 tickets.
Warren Sapp (1:30 PM)
That makes no sense!
Jason (Chandler, Az)
Warren, If Warner leads the Cardinals to their first championship will he be a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame?
Warren Sapp (1:31 PM)
He is a shoe-in my eyes right now.
Dan (Buffalo, NY)
Warren, how do I enter your contest?
Warren Sapp (1:31 PM)
nfl.monster.com
James, Dallas
Warren, would you recommend any football player to stay away from Oakland?
Warren Sapp (1:31 PM)
Not so much stay away from, but players there now might want out.
Ben (Fresno, Ca)
Ever consider coaching? For Tampa maybe
Warren Sapp (1:32 PM)
No coaching genes. Maybe on the high school level or volunteering or something. But not a 9-5 coaching job.
Warren Sapp (1:32 PM)
I might start a D-line camp. What do you think of that?
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
What was it like playing for Al Davis?
Warren Sapp (1:33 PM)
It's an absolute pleasure because he a NFL maverick. With no Al Davis, there is no going deep.
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Do you think you're a HOFer?
Warren Sapp (1:33 PM)
7 straight Pro Bowls. Def. Player of the Year. Championship. Not many guys have that on their resume. You tell me?
Ben (Fresno, Ca)
I would go to your camp, i am just very undersized
Warren Sapp (1:34 PM)
Doesn't matter. I'm undersized too. I never measured up to the protypical tackle.
Stan (Cumberland, MD)
What is the chance Coach Gruden is a head coach either this year or next year?
Warren Sapp (1:34 PM)
I don't think he will be coaching in the NFL next season. Only one job and Pioli is not hiring.
michael mcmorrow from northampton pa [via mobile]
whats the feeling like in locker room roght before you come out on the field.
Warren Sapp (1:35 PM)
It's the calm before the storm.
Dan (Buffalo, NY)
Warren, any hopes for my Browns next season?
Warren Sapp (1:36 PM)
They will line up and field a team so they have a shot. Just think of the Cards fans. They didn't think they would be here either.
Atlanta [via mobile]
How bout a sapp clothing line us big n tall
Warren Sapp (1:37 PM)
I will work on that for you. Send me a designer.
Shane (Philly)
As a maverick yourself, what do you think of TO? Is he picked on or has he brought everything upon himself?
Warren Sapp (1:38 PM)
To whom a lot is given, a lot is expected.
Godish (Chicago)
Put a jersey on, put a jersey on, put a jersey on. Is that your greatest quote ever?
Warren Sapp (1:39 PM)
Next!
Buzzmaster (1:41 PM)
Haha. Sapp is the best. Little hyperactive ... he was bouncing all over the place and having to fend off the autograph seekers .. but great guy!
Buzzmaster (1:42 PM)
When he answered that question about what the lockerroom is like right before a Super Bowl, he sent me a picture! ... will post it on Buzz's Facebook page!
The Suits (ESPN)
Well Buzz you have a little time before your next guest. Why don't you take a 5 minute lunch. Here are some peanuts.
Buzzmaster (1:44 PM)
The media room here is starting to liven up .. but still no random celebrity sightings. Last year the two dudes from Nip/Tuck were walking around in dark sunglasses. This year, nuthin'.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Nothing would make buzz more excited then an oprah sighting.
Buzzmaster (1:46 PM)
Strahan live on the NFL Network HD right now for those who were asking about the gap ..
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
No celebs from NBC around down there, Buzz? If FOX had the game you'd have every one of their shows represented.
Buzzmaster (1:46 PM)
Good point.
Ryan (San Diego)
Aaron Rodgers doing Jim Rome right now...
Buzzmaster (1:47 PM)
Yeah, he's around. Just no luck so far getting him pinned down.
Henry (Los Angeles)
Is it moral to bet on the first song Bruce plays if you have a friend in the band, and therefore know the set? Actually, I don't know if morality really matters...
Buzzmaster (1:47 PM)
Disappointed to hear he's going to be singing over pre-recorded music.
Ernie (San Diego)
how's the fan base over in tampa? more cards or more steeler fans?
Buzzmaster (1:48 PM)
Steelers for now. But good to see several Pat Tillman jerseys around.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Maybe tomorrow you'll see some cast members from The Office roaming around. If that happens, you'd better get them to chat for a few minutes, Buzz. There are pop tarts for you from Dunmore if you get it done.
Jack (Toronto)
Buzz, I just read this morning's MB transcript. Man, the MB has turned into the gym in January. Whole lot of people you don't recongnize who won't be here in a week.
Kevin (Dallas)
Why don't you start asking people you don't recognize: "Excuse me, are you important in any way?"
Buzzmaster (1:50 PM)
The funniest part of the Media Center .. when they made the credentials, they made the name/affiliation really small. So lots of people hunching over to read credentials instead of just saying "Who are you?"
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
buzz, whats your favorite "this is sportscenter" commercial?
Buzzmaster (1:52 PM)
Currently it would be the New Jersey Devil one with Jay Harris.
Buzzmaster (1:53 PM)
BTW, The tagline on Warren Sapp's emails ... QB KILLA "Dance Floor Thrilla" THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION.
Matt (Indy) [via mobile]
So which pre-Super Bowl parties have had the most buzz so far Buzz?
Buzzmaster (1:54 PM)
Not much talk at all about the parties this year. It's almost like an afterthought. Some chatter about the EA party tonight.
Michael Keaton
I'm Batman!
Jack (Toronto)
Buzz, I haven't been to the Facebook page yet. Are people using their real names or their MB doppelganger as their profile name?
Buzzmaster (1:55 PM)
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Buzzmaster/56736438102
Robert (Raleigh NC)
Holy crap you guys are still chatting? Give Buzz a raise.
Buzzmaster (1:58 PM)
Yes, give Buzz a raise.
Tom (River North)
Buzz, are you keeping hydrated? Don't cramp up before the end of the chat today.
Buzzmaster (1:59 PM)
The free Gatorade is flowing my friend. Afraid I'm going to turn orange by tomorrow.
Natesweet (Portland,OR)
It seems to me that this is one of the quietest weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. TV ads seem down, less media buzz in general. Do you think it has to do with the economy, the teams that are playing, or some other factor?
Buzzmaster (2:02 PM)
Both. Less credentials issues ... fewer parties ... first-time team ... not as exciting a matchup as last year ... sort of the perfect storm.
Jack (Toronto)
Buzz, you should get a pool going for random b-list or worse celebrity sightings. You're on the honor system here. I'll take Mario Lopez.
Buzzmaster (2:02 PM)
Absolutely. Just waiting for the first one to show up.
Tom (River North)
There have been a number of articles about how advertising is down because of the costs involved. Then you have things like NBC banning the PETA commercial because it is too sexy...
Val Kilmer
I'll take myself.
Godish (Chicago)
Jim Belushi wins, hands down.
Kevin (Dallas)
You're B-list in our eyes Buzz. Does that not mean anything to you?
Robert (Raleigh NC)
I've never understood how the only food / drink that was orange that rocks is Gatorade and Tic Tacs. Sunkist is ok too. Why do other companies suck at making orange flavors?
Dustin (Iraq)
Buzz you're killing me. You're not very entertaining today!
Buzzmaster (2:06 PM)
What am I? A clown?
Greg (Boston)
Well Buzz, if it's so slow and you stumble upon tickets, can you mail them to me, I'd gladly pay for my own flight?
Buzzmaster (2:07 PM)
Steve Slaton! That's who it is. There's a guy on the Irvin show right now. I couldn't figure out who he was until just now.
Greg (Boston)
Watch out Buzz, Dustin may be holding weapons of Mass destruction over there
Buzzmaster (2:08 PM)
If he found them, he could be president.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Dustin: Buzz posts about once for every five posts. If the chat isn't entertaining, Buzz is only about 20 percent responsible.
NFL Scouts (Last year's combine/draft)
Who's Steve Slaton?
Kid at Wedding (Wedding Crashers)
Make me a bicycle clown!
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
buzz, your the knot that ties us all together...get with the program
Clay (Charlotte)
Take that back...Dreamsicles Rock!
Buzzmaster (2:09 PM)
Hang on. Have to make a garbage run...i.e. clear my table of all the garbage.
Steph(anie)(Cincy)
Buzz is not here to amuse us, he is a man not a clown
Tom (River North)
And how about Push Ups? Those might be the best ice cream treats ever!
Dustin (Iraq)
Thanks J.B. I'm just busting his... well you know.... I'm quite jealous of him actually. I was never told I could be a proffesional chatter in high school.
Jimmy (NH)
This chat room is LAME!
Buzzmaster (2:12 PM)
Yes it is.
Tyler (Michigan)
don't you have servants for that stuff buzz?
Buzzmaster (2:12 PM)
Hahahahahaha.
Buzzmaster (2:13 PM)
Drew Brees is in the vicinity! He's doing Pittsburgh Radio right now.
Buzzmaster (2:13 PM)
He'll be here at 2:30.
Kevin (Dallas)
Buzz flunked out of clown school.
Scott (Indy)
How much trash does radio row create in a day? What size of a carbon footprint are you creating, Buzz?
Will (Courtland, VA)
Oh my god this is like a really bad F5 Wednesday...
Buzzmaster (2:13 PM)
That hurts. It really does.
Pat (Winona, MN)
There's not enough ketchup on this hot dog.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
See Dustin, there's your problem. Buzz never finished H.S. He went right into chatting.
Austin Powers (1966)
Buzz, if you're in Tampa, and chatting on ESPN which is Bristol, and I am in London how is ..... OH NO I'VE GONE CROSS-EYED
Tom (River North)
Is that 2:30 mountain time?
Buzzmaster (2:14 PM)
What's that?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
Of course this chat room is lame. It doesn't have any legs!
Sean (Philly)
A really bad F5nesday is better than a working after 11 Thursday.
Sean (Philly)
Garbage Run = Buzz cleaning off the trash of all the other ESPN shows on Radio Row.
Clinton (Indianapolis)
I'd like to add my support to Push Ups as well. Those things are excellent.
Scott (Indy)
Is Simmons going to be in this chat room tomorrow, Buzz? Or is he getting his own chat room?
Buzzmaster (2:16 PM)
Check out the link for tomorrow's chat and it will have all of the answers to your questions.
Bob(Lowell)
Buzz, your leaving Bristol creates havoc. Van Pelt missed his chat. The radio guys haven't shown yet and if you punch up David Llyods F5 page it says to join him at 2:00 AM for his chat and he hasn't shown up yet either.
Buzzmaster (2:16 PM)
What can I say? I'm a freakin mess right now.
Buzzmaster (2:19 PM)
I love the fact that there are probably more reps and agent types in this room then athletes/celebs. Very funny.
Buzzmaster (2:19 PM)
I think that's Michael Kay over there on ESPN Radio New York. Only took me three days to figure out he's theone that follows Max Kellerman and put a name to a face.
Tom (River North)
Have there been any college FB guys with the agents? I remember a couple years ago in Detroit I saw Leinart at a party with his agent before he got drafted.
Buzzmaster (2:20 PM)
We have Matthew Stafford on tomorrow morning.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
You've never seen Michael Kay before, Buzz? You need to get out more.
Buzzmaster (2:21 PM)
I'm not his best friend which you apparently are.
Buzzmaster (2:21 PM)
Warren Sapp is back and he's going to talk with Mr. Kay. He's still a big dude.
Kriss Kross (Tampa...backwards Bucs jerseys)
Warm it up Buzz.
Tom (River North)
Poor Matt Stafford. He's going to get destroyed next year as a Lion.
Kevin (Dallas)
Buzz is like the glue. That weak glue they give you in kindergarden that can't hold two pieces of paper together.
Buzzmaster (2:23 PM)
That dries out before you can even apply it to the paper?
Scott (Indy)
Buzz, who has sent radio row into the biggest frenzy so far? You know, besides the guy that hit the beans n franks table too hard on lunch.
Buzzmaster (2:24 PM)
Joe Montana was pretty big yesterday. That's a good question. Matt Ryan yesterday. Strahan today.
Jason (Chandler, Az)
That glue goes good on a sandwich!
Greg (Boston)
Do i pick Phil or Zach, Phil or Zach???I love this streak stuff now that i have discovered it
Tim (Seattle, Wa)
Who's up next Buzz?
Buzzmaster (2:24 PM)
Drew Brees! He just went off to do Sirius and then he's here with us.
Buzzmaster (2:26 PM)
Drew is working with Kellogs...my time to ask to get more pop tarts.
Field (Amite, LA)
Kellogs make pop tarts?
Dan (CT)
Buzz, how come you're not doing any interviews?
Buzzmaster (2:27 PM)
Because other than you jokers, no one wants to hear from me. That, and the face for internet chat doesn't help.
Will (Courtland, VA)
nice--I like the chocholate ones remember
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Put me down for some Frosted Flakes.
Buzzmaster (2:27 PM)
I believe that's the product he's working with.
Scott (Indy)
Buzz, do the players make arrangements to work out while they are there? Or is it strictly a vacation for them?
Buzzmaster (2:28 PM)
I have no idea. And I certainly have no insight into that, as I'm not a player.
Enrique Iglesious (whisper.)_
let me be your hero....buzz
Tom (River North)
or someone who works out...
Dustin (Iraq)
Put me down for some strawberry pop-tarts! I miss those things
Tee (AL) [via mobile]
Can Az make history this Sunday
E & J (Tallahassee by way of Baton Rouge, LA)
FINALLY, a comment from someone from Louisiana. Brees, Brees, Brees.....
Scott (Indy)
You guys don't get Poptarts in Iraq? Buzz, you need to get on that and hold a drive. Poptarts for our Troops.
Ben (Fresno, Ca)
"Buccaneers hired former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski as offensive coordinator." Anybody know anything about this guy?
Joe (NY)
Drew, I was wondering the following: Why do you rule so much? Super Bowl 44.
Buzzmaster (2:31 PM)
Let me ask him that one.
Chad (STL)
I'm back Buzz! Let's banter some more, shall we? When is this turning back into a big game chat?
Buzzmaster (2:32 PM)
Ugggghhh, that was so two hours ago.
chauncey (teaneck)
yes He was fired from Boston College after interviewing for the Jets head coaching job
Buzzmaster (2:34 PM)
Holy throng Batman. Someone is creating a stir across the way, but I have no idea who. I don't see anyone big time in the group, yet everyone has phones out taking pictures...
Buzzmaster (2:34 PM)
Holy crap...there was someone in the group that looked a little like Jose Canseco. I almost lost my lunch.
Nick, NY
Get Jacobs back over here. Fire that Diesel up and let the Meadowlands Bulldozer run you over BUZZ!!!
Jessica Simpson
I'm ditching Tony for Drew!
Kevin (NY)
I think Buzzmaster is a robot.
Jarrod (Phoenix)
was it Ozzie Canseco?
Buzzmaster (2:36 PM)
No. Neither Canseco.
Kevin (Dallas)
Everyone in the room just got tainted with a steroid accusation.
Jeff (Harrisburg, Pa)
Sometimes accusations are true.
Buzzmaster (2:38 PM)
Is that some sort of fighter over yonder? I can't tell, except that he's jacked and he's got a throng around him.
SaintsNE Methuen MA
Hey Drew Brees I have a guitar you signed for charity.
Jarrod (Phoenix)
We dont care about his underwear bro... oh wait, you said throng, sorry..carry on..
Roger C (Texas)
Party at Canseco's later?
Bob(Lowell)
Buzz, I'm a celebrity...what comes after Z list?
Buzzmaster (2:40 PM)
It must be some sort of hottie-male version. There's a ton of women around taking cell phone pictures.
Mike (Purdue Student)
Drew, we all love you here! How will the Boilermakers do next year?
Drew Brees (2:41 PM)
Well, a new coach, I think this could be somewhat of a new attitude. Danny Hope is a Joe Tiller disciple. I look forward to it. I think they'll have a great year.
Ryan (Chicago)
How is it to wear very similar colors in both the NFL and college?
Drew Brees (2:42 PM)
Pretty cool. Black and gold.
Ben (LOU)
u're personal opinion... what's ure prediction for the super bowl?
Drew Brees (2:42 PM)
I got to go NFC. ARizona.
Roger (Denver)
How did you get teamed up with Kellogs?
Drew Brees (2:42 PM)
They're doing a great community service project, rennovating 50 athletic fields tihs year. IT's right in line with what we do with our foundation, so I'm supporting it.
Jim (Miami)
Drew why donl't you help us out in Minny?
Drew Brees (2:43 PM)
I'm a Saint for life.
Joe (Nashville)
Drew, do you think it will take at least 12 wins to win the South next season considering how brutal your division is now?
Drew Brees (2:44 PM)
Quite possibly. It's a tough divisioin, probably the best in the league right now.
Steiny (NYC)
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
Drew Brees (2:44 PM)
Good question. It can't just be one person or one coach. I've had a lot of great teammates and coaches, mentors. Too many to list.
David (Vancouver)
How's the charity work going ?
Drew Brees (2:45 PM)
It's going well. We are 150,000 dollars away from completing out Operation Kids campaign, which started to rebuild parks, playgrounds, fields in New Orleans. We started with a goal of 1.8 million.
Scott Hall
Hey yo, I think the Big Ten is a Big Joke. Am I wrong?
Drew Brees (2:46 PM)
Unfortunately, right now, I wouldn't say it's a joke, I would say they're really disappointing me. We're getting outplayed byt the SEC and Big 12. I am challenging the Big 10 to represent.
Aaron (Florida)
Lets say Stafford goes # 1. What advice would you give him?
Drew Brees (2:47 PM)
Learn from the veteran players on the team. Learn how to be a professional. Don't be a cocky rookie.
Drew Brees (2:47 PM)
Pay your dues and work your butt off.
Andrew (Seattle)
Who is your favorite athlete outside of the NFL?
Drew Brees (2:48 PM)
Tiger Woods, I have the most fun watching him perform.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
What would you be doing if you weren't an NFL QB?
Drew Brees (2:48 PM)
I'd be playing against Tiger on the tour.
Drew Brees (2:49 PM)
Keep cheering on the Saints. Keep supporting New Orleans.
Buzzmaster (2:49 PM)
Thanks Drew!
Jarrod (Phoenix)
Nice job Buzz
Mike(Charlotte)
How tall is he really?
Buzzmaster (2:51 PM)
About as advertised.
Kevin McCalister
Ewww...Buzz, your girlfriend...WOOF!!!
K.G.
Bring Calvin on, I have been waiting
Buzzmaster (2:51 PM)
Get those questions in. We have Calvin at 3:15.
Buzzmaster (2:52 PM)
Hey, someone listen to Irvin's radio show. He's talking to a woman and I have no idea who it is.
Buzzmaster (2:52 PM)
By the way, Jay Glazer came over and put Brees in a sleeper hold while we were chatting.
Buzzmaster (2:53 PM)
Didn't realize Glazer was so jacked....at least I think it was him. If not then some random dude assaulted him.
Andrew (Detroit)
Hey Buzz, as a loyal Lions fan I have obviously had a tough season. Could you please post my question for Calvin Johnson? I would greatly appreciate it.
Buzzmaster (2:53 PM)
Yes, I'll ask Calvin if I can "please post my question to Calvin Johnson"
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
Buzz, did you find out who that celebrity was with the throng of people surrounding him?
Buzzmaster (2:54 PM)
No. But Brees was throwing a football back and forth with him, right over the row of computers and radio equipment. Drew called him Tim.
Buzzmaster (2:54 PM)
Hey, look at that Norby Williamson, one of ESPN's suits is here, chatting with Michael Kay, off the air.
Dennis (Des Moines)
Calvin if the possiblity came for you to leave the lions for a playoff contending team would you, and would you ever go to the bears
Dan (CT)
Tim Tebow
Buzzmaster (2:55 PM)
No, definitely not Tim Tebow. I didn't see any rings around his head.
Al (MI)
Perhaps it was Tim the toolman
David Fairborn, OH $
Tim Robbins?
Sean (Philly)
Tim Tebow?
Buzzmaster (2:56 PM)
No. I recognize all those people.
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
Tebow?!!! Go spend 15 minutes with him Buzz. He can change your life.
Jarrod (PHX)
Does Norby look like the guy in Kenny Maines videos?
Buzzmaster (2:56 PM)
I don't know. Is that him in the video?
Jarrod (PHX)
Not nice Buzz-- He is a good kid...
Dustin (Iraq)
Buzz I take it you're not very jacked, you seem very intimidated around big guys
Buzzmaster (2:57 PM)
It doesn't matter how jacked I am, if a dude is 6-4, 245 pounds sitting across from you like Brandon Jacobs, you'd be intimidated too....or Nate Newton, 6-3, pushing 4 bills.
Jarrod (PHX)
Lincecum?
Buzzmaster (2:58 PM)
Bigger.
Kevin (Dallas)
Irvin Show: Sounded like it was Laila Ali.
Buzzmaster (2:58 PM)
Nope, not her. Would have recognized her too. Come on people. You can do better then that.
Tyler (Michigan)
0-16 was not fun at all, i hope our team will compete next year, because Calvin is a great talent and we need to Win!
Bob(Lowell)
Don't worry Buzz. They wouldn't hit someone wearing glasses.
Jarrod (PHX)
Wow tyler you went 3-24 last season between big blue and the Lions.. sorry man...
Tim The Toolman Taylor
It was me and Wilson.
Dan (CT)
Tim Hasselbeck
Buzzmaster (3:01 PM)
Wrong again.
Eric (Chicago)
Buzz wears the Harry Caray glasses.
Buzzmaster (3:01 PM)
I feel like I've seen that girl that was on the Irvin show. Looks vaguely familiar.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
So tonight I won't sleep because I'm trying to figure out who Tim is and who was on Irvin's show that I can't even hear. Thank you for that, Buzz.
Lady Buzz (Tampa)
Hahaha, what a disguise! My own hubby doesn't recognize me. Now I can hit up on all the real important people.
Buzzmaster (3:01 PM)
Get some money from them while you're at it......
Buzzmaster (3:02 PM)
......and before anyone posts anything...you're all sick for thinking that and trying to send in posts like that.
Pete (NC)
Tim Hardaway?
Eric (Chicago)
Tim Brown?
Field (LA)
Tim Hudson?
Buzzmaster (3:02 PM)
You guys are not getting the point. I recognize all those people. It was someone more obscure.....
Buzzmaster (3:03 PM)
......woah, Bruce Springstein in the house!
Buzzmaster (3:03 PM)
At his press conference, anyway.
Chad (STL)
More obscure... Your name isn't Tim is it?
Buzzmaster (3:04 PM)
Jay Glazer in the house, doing Dallas radio. He's jacked....and yes, I can confirm the reports that he assaulted Drew Brees eariler.
Dustin (iraq)
Buzz you're important in my book. Just keep on with the job. It's got to be one of the best. I'll trade you anytime
Eric (Chicago)
Irvin's guest - Lisa Marie Presley?
Buzzmaster (3:05 PM)
Hmmmmm, looked kinda like her. But didn't seem crazy enough.
Buzzmaster (3:05 PM)
By the way, Drew Brees left his water bottle here. Maybe I should put it up on eBay.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I can see it now: Brees to Miss Six Months from Random Glazer Attack
Sean (Philly)
Donaghy? Maybe he is promoting prop bets?
Clinton (Indianapolis)
BRUUUUUUUUUUCE!
Nate (Madison)
Buzz, you getting a little testy yet from working all day?
Buzzmaster (3:06 PM)
Why don't you come down here and I'll show you how I'm getting from working all day...jerk.
Oil Man
Buzz, can I be a guest?
Buzzmaster (3:07 PM)
No. I hate you.
Dustin (iraq)
How's the Boss lookin' these days? Still think he'll bring down the house at halftime?
Buzzmaster (3:07 PM)
He's looking old and rich. Beautiful combo.
Ryan (Denver)
He's in beautiful Tampa covering the super bowl, i'm sure he'll survive
Jarrod (Phoenix)
I heard Bruce is actually going to start his song in the dressing room... Man, he talks for like 40 minutes before he sings..
Chad (STL)
Sitting at a computer in Tampa with Drew Brees and the like... Yeah Buzz. You've got a hard-knock life man.
Buzzmaster (3:08 PM)
The dude's back....Who is this guy? He's got like 15 people with him. And now he's got a blond with him.
Buzzmaster (3:09 PM)
He's a shorter guy, but he's totally jacked. Has a couple of tatoos on his arms. Small ones. Scruffy looking goatee.
Buzzmaster (3:10 PM)
Everyone seems to know him but me.
Nate (Madison)
Buzz, I'm working all day and then I have to drive to Milwaukee for class tonight. I'm with you, work sucks.
Triumph
The SuperBowl is a break from Buzz's monotonous life...usually spent playing Stratego in his mother's basement.
Joe (South Philly)
Buzz just signed in what set off the Glazer vrs Brees battle more importantly who won?
Buzzmaster (3:10 PM)
Nothing. Drew was sitting here chatting and Jay came over and gave him the ol' sleeper hold. I'm guessing they're boys.
Ryan (San Diego)
Drew Brees had to take the money...thats the reason he left San Diego, not that they didnt want him anymore
Buzzmaster (3:11 PM)
Other then the fact that they drafted a QB to take his place.
Sean (Philly)
Old? Young? Look like an athlete? Buzz you have to give us a little more than Tim to work with.
Buzzmaster (3:11 PM)
Young. Definitely looks like an athlete.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
I'll open the bidding at $25 for the Brees water bottle.
JB (TX)
If everyone knows why don't you ask someone sitting close to you? We'll wait...
Buzzmaster (3:11 PM)
Hang on. Let me go check.......
Buzzmaster (3:13 PM)
Grrrrr. He slipped into another room.
Andrew (Detroit)
Calvin, were you said to see Roy go to Dallas? I know Roy was a great player as well as a great guy.
Calvin Johnson (3:14 PM)
It was tough. We were real close. It's tough to see a guy go like that. We're able to move on.
Ryan (ohio)
NFL's Funniest Players DVD, eh Calvin? So, are you one of them?
Calvin Johnson (3:15 PM)
I'm not one of them. I'm real quiet. I'm a big fan of watching them go crazy. It's fun playing against guys like that.
James (Starkville, MS)
What has been the toughest situation you have had to overcome in your career, and how did you get through it?
Calvin Johnson (3:15 PM)
Hmmmm, toughest situation. When I started playing in high school, I couldn't catch anything. I couldn't catch a cold.
Dr. Doran (Detroit)
Hey Calvin!!!! Do people actully call you Megatron, or was that just Roy?
Calvin Johnson (3:16 PM)
Yeah, I get people calling me Megatron on an off the field.
Evan (Phoenix)
Funniest player?
Calvin Johnson (3:16 PM)
Ummmm, funniest player in the NFL....That's hard to call. Peyton, I would have to say him after his Saturday night Live. He has a lot of good commercials.
Steve (Livonia, Mich.)
Hey, Calvin. Who do you want to take with that No. 1 pick?
Calvin Johnson (3:17 PM)
You know what. I'm not going to even say anything about that. I have no idea who they'll take.
Steve (East Lansing, MI)
Calvin, have you spoken with new Head Coach Jim Schwartz yet? Scott Linehan?
Calvin Johnson (3:17 PM)
Yeah, the coach called me about a week ago to give me an idea of what he wants to do this year.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Calvin, what are the key facters of the Super Bowl?
Calvin Johnson (3:18 PM)
I think that if Arizona can run the ball against the Steelers defense that will open up the pass. It's all about the run.
Tim (Maryland)
How will you motivate your team to put last season behind you?
Calvin Johnson (3:19 PM)
It's not real hard to be motivated and play on Sunday. We were 0-16, but there were a lot of games where we were close. It should never be a quesiton if players are motivated.
chaz (sa tx)
what do u do in ur off time to get away from the game?
Calvin Johnson (3:19 PM)
Hang out with friends, basically. Go to movies, travel.
Steiny (NYC)
Are you the greatest Georgia Tech receiver of all time?
Calvin Johnson (3:19 PM)
Yes. (laughs)
Greg (Holmdel, NJ)
What's the weirdest thing a teammate has ever said to you Calvin?
Calvin Johnson (3:20 PM)
You have to give me more time for that one.....there has been a lot of crazy things, but I can't think of one right now.
Dustin (iraq)
Which defense would you rather play against, AZ or Pitt?
Calvin Johnson (3:20 PM)
Ummmmm. It's hard going up against that Steel curtain. I played against them once before.
Nathan (St. College)
Are you aware that you are one of the nastiest weapons in Madden 2009?
Calvin Johnson (3:21 PM)
I don't really play Madden. I stopped playing when they changed the controls.
Craig (Boston)
Better hands. You or Fitz?
Calvin Johnson (3:21 PM)
Ooooooohhhh! That's a tough one. Of course I'll say myself, because I always see myself as the best.
Tyler
Calvin what are your goals for next season?
Calvin Johnson (3:22 PM)
Right now, playoffs.
CAL (St. Paul, MN)
Calvin, if you weren't a football player, what would you be doing right now?
Calvin Johnson (3:22 PM)
I'd be some kind of architect.
Buzzmaster (3:23 PM)
Thanks Calvin! And you can check out a picture of the DVD by going here. Or by copying and pasting this URL - http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2009/0128/sn_nfldvd_200.jpg
Buzzmaster (3:23 PM)
He's pretty cool.
Buzzmaster (3:24 PM)
There's some weird guy that's asking all the athletes for autographs on a football. The weird part is that I think he's a working member of the media.
Buzzmaster (3:24 PM)
Hmmmmmmmmmm. The woman the mystery Tim was with is on NFL Network right now.
Ryan (AZ)
No way he has better hands then Fitz and I'm not even a Cards fan.
Buzzmaster (3:24 PM)
No, but what is he going to say? I suck?
Buzzmaster (3:26 PM)
Bill Williamson is supposed to be stopping by at 3:30. He can give you all your football fix. So stop your moaning.
JB (TX)
Did you get that, it was Faith Hill and TIM McGraw.
Buzzmaster (3:28 PM)
Yeah! That was him! We have a winner.
Buzzmaster (3:28 PM)
Hahaha. I was totally trying to place him as an athlete, I didn't go through my singers and other celebrity parts of my brain.
FT (LA)
I thought it was McGraw. Beautiful blond. . . jacked up. . . fuzzy goatee.
Dan (CT)
WHAT!!! I said Tim McGraw like 30 minutes ago!!!!!
Alex (KY)
I already said that Buzzfaster!
Tom (River North)
Buzz, I guess Jay Glazer is training with MMA guys, which is why is he is jacked.
Tom Jersey
Hahaha, buzz is an idiot
Kevin (Dallas)
I called Tim McGraw a half hour ago Buzz! Damn it I want credit!
Alex (KY)
Must have missed it I already said it fool.
Buzzmaster (3:30 PM)
Wow people are going insane over them.
Jarrod(PHX)
gotta admit Buzz, they are a pretty couple..
Ben (Madison, WI)
I thought you said it was a young guy. Tim McGraw has to be 40.
Buzzmaster (3:31 PM)
Well he looks young.
Andrew (Philadelphia, PA)
Who do you believe has the best shot on making the super bowl out of the NFC next year?
Bill Williamson (3:35 PM)
Wow, that's a good one. How bout Philly.
Ryan (Wilminton, DE)
Hey Bill, What the biggest thing the Bronco's have to work on for next season?
Bill Williamson (3:36 PM)
It's all defense, Ryan. Denver will go nowhere until it figures out its problems on defense.
Ryan (Wilminton, DE)
Whats your super bowl prediction?
Bill Williamson (3:37 PM)
Pittsburgh 34-17
Efadelic (Bayonne NJ)
Who do you believe has the best shot on making the super bow out of the AFC next year?
Bill Williamson (3:38 PM)
Knew that was coming. Let's say New England. A healthy Tom Brady willing, of course.
ken glendale az [via mobile]
will the cards ever be respected as a top tier team?
Bill Williamson (3:38 PM)
If they win Sunday they will be.
baltimore,maryland [via mobile]
did u think the ravens deserve to make it to the superbowl over the steelerS
Bill Williamson (3:39 PM)
Why because they lost to Pittsbrugh three times this season?
Spivey (Atl)
Matty Ice or Flacco for the rest of their career, who'd you want on your team ?
Bill Williamson (3:40 PM)
Flacco is nice but Ryan is special.
Scotty (NN, VA)
Reportedly, the 49ers hired Jimmy Raye for their vacant OC position. What kind of impact do you think he could make?
Bill Williamson (3:41 PM)
I know Singletary really wants to run the ball. With their quarterback issues, that might be a good idea.
Paul (WPB) [via mobile]
Getting ahead of ourselves, if the Steelers can win on Sunday and pull a repeat, do they have an arguement as team of the decade over the Pats?
Bill Williamson (3:42 PM)
OK, what if New England wins next year?
Ryan (Denver)
True or False: Denver takes a running back in this years draft?
Bill Williamson (3:42 PM)
Denver takes a running back pretty much every year.
Ryan (Denver)
What do you think of Mike Nolan taking over as D-Cordinator in Denver? Will the 3-4 help their Defense?
Bill Williamson (3:44 PM)
I like the move. Don't expect overnight success with the 3-4 in Denver. They need to get the personnel to make it work.
Andrew Hernandez (SD)
Who do think is the true leader of this team LT or Rivers. Which is better for the face of the franchise? Go Bolts
Bill Williamson (3:45 PM)
This is Rivers team. No doubt about it.
sean ny
bill what about the giants as the super bowl champs because they are getting osi back jacobs will sign maybe ward and plexico can come back tell me that is not a super bowl team
Bill Williamson (3:46 PM)
If they get all that done, sure, that's aquality team. No doubt about it.
Rafael 49er nation [via mobile]
My niners are gnna take it next season!
Bill Williamson (3:46 PM)
Take what?
Andrew (Detroit)
Who do you think will have a bigger game Sunday? Fitz or Boldin?
Bill Williamson (3:46 PM)
Fitz.
rj (boston)
Billy!!!!! I always say, given the two week layoff, the SB is all about a coach staff's scheme. Thus, Whisenhunt and ESPECIALLY my highly motivated man Russ Grimm are gonna be the difference, agree or disagree?
Bill Williamson (3:47 PM)
These guys have been there before so it could help. Whisnehunt has a nice staff.
Ryan (Wilminton, DE)
What's the deal with Cutler? Will he ever breakout?
Bill Williamson (3:48 PM)
He think he broke out in 2008.
Ryan (Denver)
When do you expect KC to hire a head coach?
Bill Williamson (3:49 PM)
Probably sometime late next week.
Andrew (Detroit)
Bill, how do you think the Cardinals can win this game?
Bill Williamson (3:50 PM)
They need to get the run game going and they need to force Big Ben into a couple of turnovers.
Musa (Tampa, FL)
Do you like the Jagdozinski hire by the Bucs? From what Ive seen from him at Boston College hes a pass first kind of guy.
Bill Williamson (3:51 PM)
Yes, he is a pass-game specialist. I think he's pretty good and he has an NFL background.
Prince (Pittsburgh)
Is Big Ben a top 5 Quarterback?
Bill Williamson (3:52 PM)
Not sure about that but he is a top-five winner.
Aadarsh (England)
Who do you feel will be the X-Facter on Sunday?
Bill Williamson (3:53 PM)
Arizona: Fitz. Pittsburgh: Polamalu
J.D. (B'ville, OK)
how likely is it that LT restructures his contract to stay in SD?
Bill Williamson (3:54 PM)
I think it is pretty likely. That is the result I expect from this thing.
PT (Franklin, NC)
Has Al Davis not named Tom Cable head coach yet only because he is holding out hope that he can get one of the coaches from the Super Bowl? Or is he just playing games with the media?
Bill Williamson (3:55 PM)
I think a little of both.
Chad (Ottumwa, IA)
Where would the Rams be if they would have hung onto Warner?
Bill Williamson (3:56 PM)
They probably wouldn't be getting ready to draft with the second pick for the second straight year.
Ryan (Denver)
Gruden should go back to Oakland, your thoughts?
Bill Williamson (3:57 PM)
I don't see that one happening.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Vegas has the steelers favored by 7 points, do you think that's too generous?
Bill Williamson (3:58 PM)
If I was a betting man, I'd think that is a steal.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Do you feel like Rivers got snubbed for the Pro Bowl?
Bill Williamson (3:59 PM)
Yes. he deserved it over Favre. But Rivers pulled out (after Favre pulled out) because of a knee issue.
Josh Phoenix,Az
Hey Bill Do You Expect Merriman In 2009 To Be The Beast He Was Before The Injury Last Year?
Bill Williamson (4:00 PM)
I talked to him a couple of weeks ago. He swears he'll be 100 percent.
Bill Williamson (4:01 PM)
Hey thanks everyone. Enjoyed it. Have fun watching the game and be safe. BW.
Chad (STL)
Take one CB: Cromartie or Ike Taylor?
KC Joyner (4:03 PM)
It depends on what you are looking for. Cromartie is the better ballhawk but Taylor had better coverage metrics this year. For this game I'd take Taylor.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Mr. Joyner: Do you think Arizona is playing Sunday if the NFL gave HFA to the teams with the better records?
KC Joyner (4:04 PM)
Yep. Even though they were at home, they ran the gauntlet and have convinced me they are this good.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Dr. Joyner, What is your score prediction?
Josh Phoenix,Az
Yo KC Give Us Your Prediction On The Final Score Of The Game!
KC Joyner (4:05 PM)
I think it's going to be a lot closer than some are predicting. I've got the Steelers winning in the end 24-21.
Broad Street Brian (philly)
Will the mddle of the Cards line be able to handle Casey Hampton? They have only played 4-3 teams so far and Hampton is a BEAST!
KC Joyner (4:07 PM)
Brian, I don't think the Cards are going to even try to run that much. Why butt their heads against a steel wall that isn't likely to give much? They'll throw early and often and try to get the Pitt offense to have to pass.
Jonathan (WV)
Cowboys should be play Sunday, Not the Cards
KC Joyner (4:07 PM)
Gotta love Cowboys fans. They don't even make the playoffs and their fans still think they should be in the Super Bowl.
Chooch (Mt. Lebo)
Mr. Scientist, Is (Nitro-Ben + Willie-Mercury) more toxic than (Sodium-Kurt + Fitz-Cloride)?
KC Joyner (4:08 PM)
I like the question! I'll say this. The Steelers defense is a neutralizing element and that will be the difference in the game.
Chad (STL)
You'd rather have Taylor on Fitz.. then Cromartie on Ward or Holmes? That seems unreasonable. Polamalu won't be able to bail out Taylor every pass.
KC Joyner (4:09 PM)
Heck, the way Fitz is playing he could beat any CB in the league (and, yes, that includes the ever popular shutdown CB Nnamdi Asomugha). Taylor had a better YPA this year so that's why I'd take him first.
Danny (Monroe, NJ)
KC, do you respect Arizona or are you a Cardinal hater like most people in NJ are?
KC Joyner (4:10 PM)
I totally respect the Cards after the way they've played the past few weeks. I'd also mention that Michael Bidwill should get some kind of play for executive turnaround of the decade for what he's done down there.
Josh (NY)
Everyone has been talking about how Ken Whistenhunt knows the steelers defense and personnel. Who everyone forgets is the steelers old offensive line coach, Rus Grimm. How much do you think Rus Grimm is going to help the cardinals offensive line with pittsburghs zone blitzes?
KC Joyner (4:11 PM)
Good point, Josh. One metric note I'd add is that the Cards gave up only two sacks this year where a blitzer came free. They simply aren't a team you are going to blitz for sacks, so Pitt may blitz to try to force Warner into mistakes instead.
Danny (Monroe, NJ)
Will Steve Breaston play a bigger role than people think in the game?
KC Joyner (4:13 PM)
Maybe but all three of the Steelers CBs had a YPA of 7.2 or less. Anything under 7 indicates a ver good CB so Breaston will have to beat quality competition to do it. In other words, they might not go his way if they don't have to.
Just as dilusional as Jonathan (WV)
The Lions should be in the Superbowl, not the Cards.
KC Joyner (4:13 PM)
I had to post this one!
Spivey (Atl)
Colin Cowherd has stated that Tampa is the fastest track in the NFL...would you agree ? And wouldn't that favor the Cardinals weapons, if so ?
KC Joyner (4:15 PM)
I'd say it favors Arizona except that the Steelers D is built around speed just as much as the Cards O is. I think it may end up helping the Cards D against the Pitt O more than anything.
Chad (Ottumwa, IA)
Why can't people just accept the fact that the Cardinals have been playing really good football and deserve to be in the Super Bowl!?
KC Joyner (4:16 PM)
Well, they haven't made it past the divisional playoff round since just after World War II, so it's a bit disconcerting. I know I'm still doing something of a double take on seeing their logo at the Super Bowl.
Gus (Pa)
Are people forgetting that Lebeau's defense practiced against Whiz and Grim's offense too??? I feel like it doesn't matter either way. Why are so many people acting like it's an advantage to the Cards?
KC Joyner (4:17 PM)
I think the reason is the Gruden/Gannon SB matchup a few years ago. Gruden got the best of that one by a mile and people are thinking the same thing will happen this year.
Matt ((New York))
Who do you think will get more carries in the Super Bowl - James or Hightower?
KC Joyner (4:17 PM)
James. I think Whisenhunt was saving him up for the postseason.
jose lopez rockford,il [via mobile]
is ben rothlisburger the next joe montana?
KC Joyner (4:18 PM)
If he wins Sunday, he'll be halfway there but let's not go too far in making Ben an equal to maybe the best QB ever just yet.
Danny (Monroe, NJ)
Is fitz in the top 5 receivers in history? Top 10?
KC Joyner (4:19 PM)
We're talking about someone still in the middle of his career, so it's probably a bit early to rate him that high on the all-time list. If he keeps up his current pace for 3 more years, that would be a good time to look at a case for one of the best ever.
Baffled Eagles Fan (DE)
How do you stop Larry Fitzgerald? "Pressure Kurt Warner" has been the most popular answer, but he is going to have time eventually. How do the Steelers stop Fitz other than stopping Warner?
KC Joyner (4:20 PM)
I did an article on .com last week that looked at how Pitt did against 1,000 yard receivers this year and found that they only gave up 6.5 YPA against them. That's a very low number (6 YPA will usually be at the bottom of the league at season's end) so they have shown the ability to keep top-flight WRs in check.
Adam (Columbus, OH)
I keep hearing Skip Bayless talk about the lack of weapons around Big Ben, what is he talking about? He has three really good WR's (Ward,Holmes, and Washington) and not to mention one of the better TE's in the game (Heath Miller).
KC Joyner (4:22 PM)
That's probably a matter of seeing the Cards wideouts and then looking at Pittsburgh's. The Steelers do have a good set of WRs but since they are a run first team, their guys simply aren't going to get the same coverage that Arizona's WRs are.
Andrew (Detroit)
KC, do you think that if Arizona brings pressure from the secondary, the same way they did against Philly, that could force some turnovers? I think Ben is capable of throwing a "pick 6" Sunday.
KC Joyner (4:23 PM)
Arizona ranked in the top 10 in forcing opposing QBs to make bad decisions, so the odds are good they will get some picks from Ben. Whether or not he can keep the mistakes in check will probably be the key to the game.
Brennen (Pittsburgh)
Best Superbowl play of all time?
KC Joyner (4:24 PM)
I still have the Tyree catch on my mind but my favorite still has to be the Swann catch in SB 10.
Mike (az)
KC, Your killing me here. Ive been a faithful follower and cardinal question asker during their darkest times and here we are in the most glorious time for a cardinal fan and i cant get a question of comment in! Thats ok ill spare you the lengthy reasons why and just say Cards 27-20 shock the world!
KC Joyner (4:24 PM)
Mike, I am glad I saw this post! You have been a faithful chatter over the years and deserve the post!
Danny (Monroe, NJ)
Im only 13 but I have seen the "Steel Curtain" on video. Is this Steelers D as good as the Steel Curtain was? And who is this D's Jack Lambert?
KC Joyner (4:26 PM)
Danny, this is a very good Steelers D but the 70s Steelers had four Hall of Famers. I don't think this D will end up with that many so I've got to give the edge to the 70s team. And as far as being an across the field presence like Lambert, I think you'd have to say Polamalu is today's Pitt equivalent.
Ashley WV [via mobile]
Not a everyone in WV wants the Lions in the Superbowl. Go Steelers!
KC Joyner (4:26 PM)
One WV vote for Pittsburgh!
Brett (Houston, TX)
Am I the only one who has come to hate the terms "Gunslinger," "Pick-Six," and rapidly gaining momentum "Ballhawk?" Those phrases drive me nuts.
KC Joyner (4:27 PM)
I probably agree with you on that but if we want to see those words get used less often, we need to come up with alternate phrases. What does your football thesaurus say?
Sean (Philly)
Can you believe Lane asked me to be his friend on ESPN's new Facebookish profiles page?
KC Joyner (4:28 PM)
Hey, we are now in what is supposed to be a post-partisan America and Lane is probably just trying to tap into that.
Nick ((Murrysville, PA))
If I hear the cardinals are "gonna shock the world" again i'll probably jump off a cliff is it not the most annoyiong phrase ever?
KC Joyner (4:29 PM)
Another vote for overused phrases.
Ty (South Carolina)
Why does everyone think Kurt deserves the HOF so badly?
KC Joyner (4:30 PM)
If he gets another title this Sunday, he'll have enough big skins on his wall to make that claim. His fans just want to make sure he isn't overlooked.
Carla (Minot, North Dakota)
I think the Cardinals being in Super Bowl is a shock to the system, but it's a good shock because I am tired of the Patriots!
KC Joyner (4:31 PM)
This has been a year of change and Carla is glad to see it! Well, it's a busy chat today so I've got to clear the floor for the next chatter. I hope to see you all next week!
Buzzmaster (4:32 PM)
Thanks KC for bringing the knowledge!
Buzzmaster (4:33 PM)
We've got Archie Manning coming up at 4:45 p.m. ET!
Carla (Minot, North Dakota)
What's next?
Buzzmaster (4:33 PM)
Glad you asked....Archie Manning at 4:45 p.m. ET.
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
Listen, write this down, store it, cement it, do whatever you want with it....the Arizona Cardinals are not winning the Super Bowl! You heard it here first, in JoePa country!
Buzzmaster (4:34 PM)
Someone's singing karaoke or something over there on radio.
Buzzmaster (4:35 PM)
By the way, I went wandering around and saw Miss USA or Miss America or something. She was wearing a crown of some sort.
Brett (Houston, TX)
I doubt, with the Super Bowl three days away, you were the first to say that. Jeeze.
Nick ((Murrysville, PA))
Why shock the world? They're only sending shock waves which are frying our brains with their retarded phrases Go Steelers!
Jimbo (Tampa)
Finally no Manning brothers in the super bowl, do we really have to be tortured with dad???? What is he even doing here!?!?!
Buzzmaster (4:36 PM)
Why don't you ask him when he gets here. Eli was doing NFL Network as well. Huge throng there...almost as big as Tim McGraw's.
Dustin (iraq)
I'm back buzz, did you miss me? I know you did.
Buzzmaster (4:36 PM)
I'm glad you're back and not off shooting an M-16.
Brett (Houston, TX)
They brought him to annoy you, Jimbo. Archie - Mission Accomplished. Muahahahahaha.
Hutch (Htfd.)
probably Miss USA, from Indiana, she just won last week... I watch the news, not the pageant.
Carla (Minot, North Dakota)
The Mannings are great to have to remind people of what great families are about!
Clay (Charlotte)
Dustin- Or not getting shot AT by an M-16.
Jmerms (NYC)
Besides Deion and Matthrew, who else is coming?
Buzzmaster (4:39 PM)
No more Deion. He stiffed us. Apparently has a grudge against ESPN and won't do anything with us. Oh well. His loss, I'd say.
Hutch (Htfd.)
Dinner: Chicken-fried steak, broccoli and rice and Iced Tea.
Buzzmaster (4:40 PM)
Archie should be here in a few minutes. I think he's with Gatorade.
Carla (Minot, North Dakota)
I wonder what Archie thinks of his sons Double Stuff Oreo Commercials?
Archie Manning (4:41 PM)
I enjoyed it. And they particularly had a good time doing it with the Williams sisters. They said they were great gals.
Ralph (New Jersey)
Archie, did you try to adopt one of the players in the Super Bowl, so you could have a son in the game for the third straight year?
Archie Manning (4:41 PM)
I hadn't given that any thought. I'd be proud have Kurt being our son.
Todd (Houston)
Archie, what are you working on down in Tampa?
Archie Manning (4:42 PM)
I've been doing some work with Canon and Gatorade. I'm going to try and work on my golf game alittle too.
Gary (Phoenix)
what is going on at the G studio?
Archie Manning (4:43 PM)
Really looking at the portraits that Swank One did of memorable Super Bowl moments.
Archie Manning (4:43 PM)
One I particularly like is No. 10 escaping from the Patriots last year.
Dustin (iraq)
Archie, how difficult is it to watch Peyton and Eli play against each other? I know it's got to be tough.
Archie Manning (4:43 PM)
Awkwward. Fortunately it doesn't happen only every five years.
Jalen (Claypool, IN)
Mr. Manning, would you like to see both of your sons in the Super Bowl playing against each other?
Archie Manning (4:44 PM)
Tough.
Archie Manning (4:44 PM)
It would be hard to celebrate with the winner. When the other one would be so disappointed.
Dustin S (Newport, PA)
Who do got in the Super Bowl? Pittsburgh or Arizona!!!
Archie Manning (4:45 PM)
I'll pick the Steelers because of the percentages of the defense controlling this game. But I'm going to make the prediction that I did last year. If the Steelers let the Cardinals hang around until the last three or four minutes, the Cardinals will win.
Mike (Pearl, MS)
How do you think Drew Brees' awesome year statistically will be remembered, given the fact that the Saints missed the playoffs?
Archie Manning (4:45 PM)
Drew is a great QB. The Saints could be here next year.
Matt ((New York))
What was your favorite moment in your football career?
Archie Manning (4:46 PM)
It's a hard one. No championships, so just some upset wins and really the chance to play.
Chad (Ottumwa, IA)
Hey Archie, How do I turn my three year old into an NFL quarterback?
Archie Manning (4:46 PM)
Just let fate take care of that. Don't try too hard.
Steve (Michigan)
Archie, do you think Kurt retires with a win this weekend?
Archie Manning (4:47 PM)
I don't think so. He's playing too well.
Archie Manning (4:47 PM)
He's got some great receivers to throw too.
Steiny (NYC)
What are your thoughts on the current state of University of Mississippi football?
Archie Manning (4:47 PM)
We have a very good coach.
Brian (LA)
what's cooper up to these days?
Archie Manning (4:47 PM)
Coop's doing great. Three beautiful children, working hard.
Archie Manning (4:48 PM)
Go Colts! Go Giants!
Buzzmaster (4:49 PM)
Thanks Archie!
Chad (STL)
Buzz- How many rude/mean/off comment posts are submitted? More then what are actually able to post?
Buzzmaster (4:50 PM)
Yeah, there are some. But no one will ever see them, because we're Disney-owned.
Sean (Philly)
Buzz, if you were Cooper, and had Eli and Peyton as your brothers...would you be working hard? I would be working hard at getting the perfect indentaiton on my couch.
Buzzmaster (4:52 PM)
Why? That wouldn't be very satisfying. As Archie just said, he's got three kids and a wife to support.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Buzz, kudos on another great day of chats. You've earned your $384.62 this week.
Carla (Minot, North Dakota)
Hey Buzz, have you spotted any Cincinnati Bengals there? Is Boomer there?
Buzzmaster (4:52 PM)
No, but I saw a media person wearing a Jamaal Lewis Browns jersey....wha?
Mike (Happy Valley, Pa)
Buzz, I'm outta here. The work day has come to a close....til tomorrow...stay classy!
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
Buzz, i am completely satisified with mega chat thursday
Buzzmaster (4:53 PM)
Well, then our job is accomplished for the day.
Sean (Philly)
Boomer sighting at 12:03.
Mac (Philly) [via mobile]
you find bengals in jungles and county jails, duh, not the super bowl......
jeff (houston)
any marriage proposals yet? ala tom brady. or women with painted on swimsuits?
Buzzmaster (4:54 PM)
No on both accounts.
JB (TX)
Damn you Eastern time zone people, I still have an hour to go!
Pete (NC)
Buzz, just thought I'd make you jealous and let you know I'm having a steak dinner at a fancy restaurant tonight. Have fun with that room service again.
Mike(Detroit, MI)
Hey Buzz, Lions '10 SB champs, dont refute the truth
Chad (STL)
Buzz- Can you try to get Ocho Cinco on here so we can all grill him?
Buzzmaster (4:55 PM)
I doubt he's doing Radio Row at the Super Bowl...though he was down in Miami two years ago, walking down the street with Deion.
Hutch (Htfd.)
(in Chris farley's voice) Buzz, you're awesome. remember that time you posted I was having Chicken-fried Steak for dinner? yeah, that was cool.
Matt (Schenectady, NY)
Are we chatting all day Friday too?
Buzzmaster (4:56 PM)
We are. We'll go with Devin Hester and Matthew Stafford in the morning and then finish off with Bill Simmons starting at noon and finishing sometime before kickoff.
Hutch (Htfd.)
Buzz, can you try and get Paul Shirley, he's good.
Mike(Charlotte)
Quitting time, See ya in the morning Buzz
Spivey (Atl)
skittles or M&M's ?
Buzzmaster (4:57 PM)
M's. Skittles get stuck in your teeth.
Ryan (Wilmington, DE)
whats good for tomorow buzz?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Buzz did you find out who the woman on the Irvin Radio Show was?
Buzzmaster (4:57 PM)
I didn't.
Derek Zoolander
Buzz, I am your X-list star! How did you not see me walk through there earlier? I know you have problems, but how could you ignore someone this ridiculously good looking?
Zach Rastall (Marinette, WI)
Hello, Buzz.
Dave (DE)
Buzz I was looking at the ESPN Sportsnation polls, and as a country, we say Matthew Stafford to Detroit. Then i scrolled over Michigan to see who they picked, and about 60% want Andre Smith. Why does everyone think Stafford is the best fit EXCEPT for (assumed) Lions fans?
Buzzmaster (4:58 PM)
Do the Lions fans even know what they want?
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
OK, I'm done for today. Take care Buzz and stay out of trouble. Maybe you can find out who that woman was for us tomorrow. Have a great night, Buzz Nation Marathon Chatters!
Aaron (KC)
See-ya tomarrow Buzz, good work. Enjoy the weather.
jeff (houston)
stafford is such a project that the lions need to trade for cassel and have a proven NFL QB
Brian (Ny)
not crabtrree!
Buzzmaster (5:00 PM)
OK...It's 5 p.m. on the East Coast. I think it's quitting time.
Buzzmaster (5:01 PM)
Thanks to everyone for stopping by today. We'll be back again tomorrow, when Bill Simmons will send you off into Super Bowl weekend!
