EJ, with the blues big win over SJ do you think the blues are playoff bound?
EJ Hradek (3:08 PM)
I think the Blues are battling hard and staying the race. I think the Blues and their fans should be trilled about that. They are still are a rebuilding team, they are showing a lot of fight and that means something whether they make the playoffs or not.
Dan (Bridgewater, NJ)
NJ is on a tear. Hot at home and playing well on the road. With Boston sliding some, do they win the east and win the president's trophy?

Can the wings play the same defense they played last year in the playoffs?
EJ Hradek (3:13 PM)
I think they can. The biggest question will be their goal tending. Osgold has to regain the form that he showed last spring. If he does, I think the Wings are going to be tough to bear. If he doesn't they have to rely on Ty Conklin who has played well this year.
Krzgzgyzy Ukbemov (Uzbekistan)
As of this exact second which goalie was better - Roy or Broduer?
EJ Hradek (3:15 PM)
Because you are making me make a pick, I would say Broduer. But I think both guys as well as several other goaltenders stand very close together. I think goalies have different styles, play for different team, and different eras and that makes it hard to separate those guys.
Harrison (New York)
EJ,Where do u think the New York Rangers finish in the East?
EJ Hradek (3:17 PM)
I don't know exactly where but I do think they will make the playoffs. I think the coaching chance and the player addition have made the Rangers both better and more interesting. I think they have the chance to win a first round series but don't see them getting through the second round.
Garrett, Santa Cruz California
What would be your dream match up in the playoff for both conferences?
EJ Hradek (3:19 PM)
In the east I would like to see Pittsburgh and Washington in a seven game series. In the west I would like to see the Red Wings and Sharks. Any combination of those four teams in the final would be a lot of fun.
Robert (Los Angeles, CA)
Will the Penguins take the "Interim" tag off Dan Bylsma this season?
EJ Hradek (3:22 PM)
I don't think there is any rush to do that. Their focus is competing for a playoff spot and playing in the post season. Their GM Shero, will continue to look at the coaching staff and will make a decision in the offseason. If the Penguins have playoff success, it will greatly increase Dan's chances of getting the interim taking off is title.
Amanda NY, NY
Do you think the Flyers have any chance at all to beat the Red Wings tonight?
EJ Hradek (3:24 PM)
Sure! The Flyers are coming off a disappointing loss in NY and the Red Wings are coming off a big win. I think the Flyers will be ready to play tonight. I think it will be a very interesting game. Side note: Red Wings will be without Tonas Holmstrom tonight.
Harrison (New York)
Who do u think will win the Stanley Cup?
EJ Hradek (3:25 PM)
I picked the Red Wings at the beginning of the season and I'm going to stay with that pick. I think they will have a tough road to repeat but I will stick by my pick at this point.
Baran Jha Kamal (Nepal)
How much of Blue jackets success due to coaching brilliance of Ken Hitchcock?
EJ Hradek (3:29 PM)
I think Ken Hitchcock's record speaks for itself. He's won a Stanley Cup, to the finals twice and to the conference finals a couple of times. He has had a major impact on changing the culture of the franchise. Of course, it doesn't hurt that rookie goalie Steve Mason has emerged as a terrific stopper for them. I think that they will make the playoffs for the first time in playoff history and that will be great for all the hockey fans in Columbus.

What is up with the hurricanes? They seem so dangerous at times but have too many defensive lapses. I think Cam Ward is playing great and can lead them into the playoffs. Do you agree
EJ Hradek (3:32 PM)
I think the Hurricanes have surpassed my expectations over the last couple of weeks. They won some games and they are staying in the battle for a playoff spot in the east. Like most teams, the goalie will be key in their final stretch run. Cam Ward has won big games before and I see him doing that again. If I had to pick right now, I would say the Hurricanes will make the playoffs.
Liam Hart (Norton, MA)
Right now, who is the better player... Pavel Datsyuk or Jarome Iginla?
EJ Hradek (3:33 PM)
Great question! It's very tough to answer because both guys help their teams in different ways. If I was building a team from scratch, I would take Pavel Datsyuk because he is a little more viristile and can play the middle. But those are two great players in this league.
King (Howell, NJ)
Great job by the Montreal fans giving Brodeur a standing ovation on Saturday night. Does Marty break the record tonight?
EJ Hradek (3:36 PM)
I think he has a great chance to do that. He and the Devils are playing very well while their opponent, the Blackhawks have be struggling a little bit in recent games. It should be a very interesting night in Newark, NJ.

Ej do you think the penguins have a realistic shot at the cup this year considering the great streak they are on?
EJ Hradek (3:40 PM)
I think with the personal they have, if everyone is healthy, they are capable of making they kind of run. I don't know if they are as good of team right now that they were last year in the playoffs but them seem to be getting closer. They have been a team that you can't count out of games. They can come from behind in the third period which is unusual in this league. I see them as a dangerous playoff team.
Hey EJ, with a 6-2-2 mark over their last 10, please tell me the Isles aren't going to blow their chance at Tavares?
EJ Hradek (3:43 PM)
I would be a little worried about a successful finish but you just can't tell players to lose. Athletes are not like that, they are always trying to succeed and to win. The good news is this, the Isles young players look to be taking positive steps forward and hopefully that is something they can build on. I still think they have the best chance in the lottery go getting the first pick but it might end up being closer than we thought.
EJ Hradek (3:43 PM)
Thanks for all the great questions! See you next week!
