Hi Terry, I am a big Ryan Newman fan, that said he has been running very strong, do you think he has a real chance of winning the cup this year?
Zach (Napoleon, OH)
Hey Terry, I enjoy your work! In regard to the potential tire situation at Indy, has NASCAR considered the option of reducing the size of the fuel tanks? The did this a few years ago at Talladega in a futile attempt to break up the pack racing, but doing so at Indy would cut the number of laps in a fuel run and lead to increased green flag pit stops rather than competition cautions every 15-20 laps.
R U going to keep us up 2 date on Twiiter?
Jason (Willow Grove PA)
Terry, any nascar plans to ban full time sprint cup drivers from continuously ruining the nationwide series?
Jason (Willow Grove PA)
Terry,When are they going to fix the chase?? Put a road course race, 2 superspeedway races, 2 short tracks and 5 intermediate tracks. they should make DAYTONA the 1st and last stop on the tour. any plans for this?
I am a kb fan and thought the guitar smashing was pretty cool at the time. I read what sam bass said and now i think kb went a little overboard. But lets not criticise him too much and turn him into a zombie like tony stewart we need a guy like kyle in nascar.
How about they fix the Chase by giving the title to the best driver over a course of 36 races?
Will RPM be Toyota next year?
Hey there Terry, enjoyed your blog today on Kyle "I'm not Pete Townsend and never will be" Busch. Any idea if NASCAR will, at minimum, talk to him or Gibbs about Kyle's actions at Nashville.
What can Nascar do to prevent another snooze fest, Nascar fuel mileage test session like Pocono? I don't even call "how slow can you go" testing a race.
Terry, you appear to be the only writter thats not scared to say what Kyle did to the Trophy was wrong. good for you for not being scared to tell it like it is
Jason (Hollywood, Florida)
It seems like the old Nascar fans are going to be negative about everything Kyle. Should Kyle just continue being himself or should he try to show those old fans that he is the new Gordon/Johnson.
Marc (Gulfport, MS)
Terry, with the recent Scott Riggs - TBR issue about start and parking, is NASCAR going to step in and do something? It's the same teams that are out by lap 50 each week. I think it's insulting to racing in general.
Jeff (East Bay, CA)
Your thoughts on the new double file restarts? I was a little underwhelmed, but it seems that's just because it was Pocono...
RANDY RITCHIE (WHEATFIELD INDIANA)
HEY TERRY will all 5 ROUSH cars be strong this weekend at MICHIGAN or is it a good idea to stay away from the number 6 car and take the 00 in his place?
Joe's Wife (Fl)
Terry...we're having problems gettin on to your chat
Hey, Tank is back. I was shocked when I saw Kyle smash his guitar. If he planned to share it with his team, he could have done so in private.
Jerry (Tampa, FL)
With the news that Michael Waltrip is giving up his seat for Infineon and will probably quit driving full time next year, how do you see that progressing MWR as an organization? It can only help, especially if the Truex rumors turn out to be true. With Reutimann having success this year and Truex being no slouch, I think they would push each other to be even better.
Jason (Willow Grove PA)
Terry,David Stremme is a good driver, and he doesnt get a lot of positive media time. I think Ganassi was crazy for ditching him to get Franchitti. And now that he is at Penske, any plans to get rid of him in favor of Justin Allgaier next season?
Mark (Ankeny, IA)
I agree with your stane on Sprint Cup drivers in the Nationwide and Truck series. Unfortunately there is no quick fix...if you were in charge, what would you do?Also, Kyle Busch showed zero class with that trophy in Nashville. If I was the promoter, he wouldn't be allowed back at my event
Rob (Philadelphia, PA)
I'm one of Denny Hamlin's biggest fans, and to say that Sunday was frustrating is an understatement. Do you see him making the Chase, because I honestly don't know anymore.

QUESTION TO TERRY BOUNT AT 2.15PM HI TERRY CAN TONY STEWART WIN 2 IN A ROW
Terry: what would make the biggest story in November? Jimmie winning an unprecedented 4th in a row? Tony becoming 1st driver/owner champion since Kulwicki? Mark Martin finally winning his 1st at 50 in 1st yr w/Hendrick? Jeff's "drive for five"? other? and by "other" I don't mean Jr - pls stick to scenarios more likely than me winning the lottery (ex: Kyle/Toyota's 1st)... also, what are your odds on each of above?
Chris (Richmond, VA)
Who finishes higher in the point standings this year: Jr. or Logano?
Terry Blount (2:44 PM)
Excellent question Chris. I'll go with Jr. I think Lance will help him and they'll figure it out this summer. They better.
Dan (New York)
It sounds like Penske is getting paid from Dodge according to him. It seems like they just dropped RPM and it seems theyre on their way to Toyota. What do you think ?
Terry Blount (2:47 PM)
Penske has a contract with Dodge for at least two more seasons. Dodge can't just drop RPM if they have a long-term deal. It they are paying one team and not the other, I smell a lawsuit. But good luck wih that since the company is broke. Just a bad situaiton all around. The funny thing is I would have bet a lot that Penske would be he first to jump to Toyota.
Jason (Willow Grove PA)
Terry,I know in the past Roush Fenway offered a ride to Danica Patrick, any news if she is actually series about making the move yet?
Terry Blount (2:50 PM)
She's serious if the money is right, but I'm not sure any Cup team owner is serious about signing her. She won't go to a second-tier team, so the only real options at the momen are JGR and Stewart Haas. I don't see either one wanting to go down that path.
jon akers (canada)
while televising why is so much attention give to the 48 car and Lowes?it would seem to me that all sponsers would want as much coverage if not ,why would they want to keep sponsering another car
Terry Blount (2:52 PM)
That's simple. Most of the coverage goes to the car in front. That's always been true. You're not going to focus on the car runing 38th. But marketing surveys show every car gets huge exposure for the sponsor at a much loer cost than buying the ad time.
is a change that makes a car worse a reflection of bad info from the driver or a bad change from the crew chief? jr. was running top 10-15 until a mid race change that sent him to the back with an ill handling car. who's to blame? seems like a common theme of jr.'s car getting worse as the race goes on.
Terry Blount (2:56 PM)
It can go either way. What happened at Pocono made Eury Jr. look good. Fans complained that he often made the wrong adjustment to the car. Maybe he was doing what Jr. asked him to do and it messed things up. The key is to find the happy medium between what the driver wants and what the car needs. Those aren't always the same thing. That's why being a crew chief is so tough.
Dan (Monroe Nc)
Who do you think EGR will bring in to replace Truex?
Terry Blount (2:58 PM)
Hard to say. Riggs maybe? But I would make a run at Brad K if I thought I could get him.
Marion (South Carolina)
Terry,With RPM teaming with Braun Racing for 5 Nationwide series starts is it safe to say they will be Toyota in 2010
Terry Blount (2:59 PM)
Logic would tell us that's where things are headed.
Terry Blount (3:00 PM)
Gotta run folks. Really great questions today. Have a great week. I'm out. Peace.
