Trey is here!
Trey Wingo (12:57 PM)
Hi, I'm here. Looking forward to talking to you.
Peyton Manning (via mobile)
Trey, 303 yards, 22 yards per completion, 27 points in 14:53. Do I put up similar numbers against Arizona?
Trey Wingo (12:58 PM)
Peyton, thanks for taking the time, first of all. No, you'll probably put up better numbers, because I think you'll have the ball for more than 20 minutes.
Mike hbg pa [via mobile]
Should the redskins fire zorn if they lose to the lions?
Trey Wingo (1:00 PM)
Mike, let's not go down that road. But it's an interesting question, is there more pressure on the Lions to win a game or is there more pressure on a team to not lose and be the one? We're actually talking about that today on NFL Live at 4 p.m. ET.
Robert Nash (Emmetsburg, IA)
Which team do u think has been the biggest diapointment so far this season?
Trey Wingo (1:00 PM)
Tennessee Titans, Robert. They had the best record in all of football last year and they're 0-2 and their defense is not even close to what it was last year.
Trey Wingo (1:01 PM)
Eating sweet barbecue Buffalo Wild Wings. Dang, they are zesty.
jason knochel {knuckle} (Bay City, Mi)
Are you surprised by any teams this year, meaning are some teams doing better then what you orginally thought???
Trey Wingo (1:02 PM)
I certainly didn't see the Jets going 2-0 with a rookie QB starting on the road and then beating the Patriots. It's a tribute to Rex Ryan. And the 49ers as well. Frank Gore at RB and Patrick Willis at LB. He's just unstoppable right now.
Clay (Charlotte)
Ranch or blue cheese with your wings?
Trey Wingo (1:02 PM)
Hey, good barbecue needs no extra sauce.
Joey (rutland Vt)
Trey, love NFL Live great show. my question is do u think that the Patriots will start runnung the ball more like in 01-04.
Trey Wingo (1:03 PM)
Joey, I love Rutland, Vt. Been there many times. Let me put it this way, if there's one coach that can figure it out it's Bill Belichick. I'm sure they'll start running the ball.
Eric M. (Cleveland, OH)
Why don't people refer to me as Mangenius anymore???
Trey Wingo (1:04 PM)
Because you charge $100 for a $3 water bottle.
John (Cleveland)
Any idea about LT's injury status? I have both Sproles and McFadden and want to know who I should start as my No. 2 RB - I like Sproles but only if LT is out.
Trey Wingo (1:05 PM)
John, Sproles has been the playmaker the last two weeks. I can't imagine they would go to LT even is he is healthy. Plus Sproles gives you points in the return game.
kyle (columbus ohio)
is there a chance that the steelers defense can hold up a entire season without troy polamalu
Trey Wingo (1:06 PM)
Well, they won't need to hold up the entire season. He will be back before then. There are a lot of playmakers on that defense. Dick LeBeau may be the best DC of all time. The defense is not the concern, that's the running game.
Jeff (Kansas City)
Dilema a RB. Which 2 to start? Slaton, Hightower, Felix Jones. All have favorable matchups
Trey Wingo (1:07 PM)
Definitely start Felix Jones. Even without the injury to Marion Barber, he's the home run hitter. Hightower is playing against the Colts and their run defense is not good. Slaton has not been the horse on that team. Hightower against the Colts and their bad run defense game on Monday night. Plus they'll be gassed going cross country. They'll need some Buffalo Wild Wings for sustinence.
Travis (Upper Penninsula)
Indeed, buffalo wild wings are good.... As good as Pierre Thomas this week or is the injury still holding him down?
Trey Wingo (1:08 PM)
Oh Travis, way to curry favor. Advantage BWW wings here. Both injuries to Thomas and Bell leave a lot of questions about the New Orleans RBs. I guess Drew Brees will have to throw it a lot more this week. He's been pretty good at that you know.
SprungOnSports (Long Island)
What do you think Carolina has to do Monday in a must-win game?
Trey Wingo (1:09 PM)
Well, No. 1, limit Jake to 1 INT. They can't keep turning it over. Defensively, they haven't been very good right now. They need to limit the Cowboys running game, but they've been the best running team in the league right now.
Craig G. (Fairfield, California)
Hey Trey, it's only 2 weeks in, but what have been the most overrated "units" to you? Maybe the Seahawks D?
Trey Wingo (1:10 PM)
Well, the offense of the New England Patriots. Brady is back. He's got Moss, Galloway, Taylor. They went a game without a TD. Sure Wes Welker was hurt. They're just completely out of whack right now. Everyone thought they'd be that 2007 offense, but it's just not right.
Mike (NYC)
What are your thoughts on Eddie Royal going forward? Is it time to look for a better option at WR2? If so who do you like more Kevin Walter or Devery Henderson going forward?
Trey Wingo (1:12 PM)
Eddie Royal is a great receiver, but there's a reason why the Bears are happy to have Jay Cutler's arm. I'd stick with Eddie Royal right now.
Brandon (Omaha, NE)
Give me your fantasy take on this Trey....Moreno or Reggie Bush in Week 3?
Trey Wingo (1:13 PM)
Reggie Bush is in Buffalo. He may have to get a lot of touches. This week could be a big week for Reggie because of the injuries to Thomas and Bell. They may need Reggie to make a lot of plays this week.
Jeremy (Mansfield,OH)
Do you think the Lions will win this weekend?
Trey Wingo (1:14 PM)
A lot of people think the Lions will win this weekend, but I am not one of them.
Trey Wingo (1:15 PM)
If you're not playing Detroit and you're not a fan, everybody should be pulling for Detroit. No one should go through this. My son's middle school team lost 8 straight and it was killing me. These guys are professionals. It's hard.
Trey Wingo (1:15 PM)
We sort of joke about it all the time, but I'm pulling for them all the time. Never has a city or a team needed it more than the city of Detroit or the Lions.
Tony Z (Buffalo)
First, props to the Buffalo Wild Wings founders for being from the greatest city on the planet and knowing how to make some darn good wings. Second, do you think Vick will start for the Eagles at any point this season?
Trey Wingo (1:16 PM)
Tony, this will not get you any free wings, but I do agree with your assessment. I do not think that Vick will start because he is not ready to start. Brady is not Tom Brady yet and he missed a year. You don't give McNabb an extension and you don't sign Jeff Garcia if you think that Vick will start this year. He will be a package player.
Mike (NYC)
Do you think Favre is going to take the gunslinger out of the holster cause he is having his first game at home? Who do you like in that game?
Trey Wingo (1:17 PM)
That may be the most physical game of the first weekend. Gore is the third best rusher. Peterson is the first. Neither shy away from contact. Favre may have to be the difference maker. That's why you get Brett Favre. You get him to make three plays in this game that you didn't get before. It might be out of necessity.
He Ate Me NJ [via mobile]
Greetings Trey. I have 4 RBs and can start 2 this week. Just wanted an experts input. Steven Jackson STL, T. Jones NYJ, W. McGahee BAL and R. Brown MIA.
Trey Wingo (1:20 PM)
Dear He, Play Steven Jackson because he is the Rams only playmaker. I think McGahee's touches will be limited because of the emergence of Ray Rice. And Ronnie Brown, it's going to take a truck to bring him down. So I go with those two. Sincerely, Me.
troy miller (michigan)
how far will the falcons go in the playoffs?
Trey Wingo (1:21 PM)
Troy, the Falcons may be the most complete team in the NFC. They have a chance to do a lot of damage. Matt Ryan's Christmas present came early when they got Gonzalez. Their defense is aggressive and smacking teams in the mouth. From top to bottom, the Falcons may be the most complete team in the NFC.
Joey (Rutland Vt)
I am huge fan of the NE Pats and wonder if u think that they will win this weekend? many people r picking Matty Ice.(my B.C. Boy)who alot r saying is the new Brady.Who wins Trey?
Trey Wingo (1:22 PM)
Joe, I'll always go with the old Tom Brady over the new Tom Brady. The New England Patriots have not lost back to back games since Weeks 9-10 of the 2006 season, a span of 41 straight weeks.
Geoff (Chicago)
With 38 Buffalo Wild Wings in Chicagoland it's my preferred place to watch football. Trey, when is Forte going to get a chance to carry the load like he did last year.
Trey Wingo (1:24 PM)
He won't have to carry the load this year. They got Cutler so Forte won't have to do anything. They'll still get him involved. He was their leading receiver last year. They don't have a lot of great WRs. They have a rookie in Johnny Knox and a converted DB in Devin Hester. Forte probably won't do as much this year, because they don't need him to. But you keep eating those Buffalo Wild Wings.
Mike (Ohio)
In Scott Van Pelt's chat someone asked who was the better anchor, him or you. He said he was a 13.5 point favorite. Any comment?
Trey Wingo (1:24 PM)
Scott is 13.5 inches taller than everyone, so I'm sure that's what he meant. But I have hair.
Jason (Philly)
Is Eli Manning the real deal this year? Debating starting him over Kurt Warner this week. Follow up, does Warner make it through the year?
Trey Wingo (1:26 PM)
Jason, you can't ask if someone is the real deal if it's a fantasy question. In fantasy, of course I start Kurt Warner, he's coming off the highest completion percentage in NFL history. The Giants would love to run Brandon Jacobs and run the ball. Of course start Warner. In reality, of course Eli's the real deal, he's a Super Bowl winning QB.
Mike (NYC)
This is now 4 losses in a row for Tenn how do you think they will do in NY? Is this a trap game for NY?
Trey Wingo (1:27 PM)
I think it is a trap game for NY. That Patriots game was their Super Bowl. They have to come down and prove they can still do this on a consistent basis. Rex Ryan has to do the same coaching job this week as last week and he was coaching them up last week.
Andy (Ann Arbor)
My wife can eat the BW3 Blaze'n wings. I can only eat the hot. It's very emasculating.
Trey Wingo (1:27 PM)
I think we know who wears the pants in that family, big boy.
Kelli Zink (CelebTV Studios)
I'm a Lions fan- two questions1. Is Calvin J the best WR in the game?2. Do you think the selection of Stafford was the right move?
Trey Wingo (1:29 PM)
1) Kelli, dear Kelli. Calvin Johnson has the potential to be the best WR in football. But until he's surrounded by a competent team, we'll never know. 2) Two games in, Sanchez looks like the better team. But he has a better team around him.
manny (ca)
Do you think tony romo needs to calm down or is he just not the real deal?
Trey Wingo (1:31 PM)
Manny, this will be Tony Romo's third full season as a starter. There were major questions on Eli Manning until he won a Super Bowl in his third full season. We don't know yet what he will be.
Jughead Jones (Riverdale)
The Eagles are getting beat up with injuries do you think they have enough depth to keep winning games ?
Trey Wingo (1:32 PM)
Yeah, I do. Listen, the Eagles get beat up every year. It's because they don't eat enough Buffalo Wild Wings. Andy Reid has proven each year he can get it done. I'm sure he'd like to do it healthy, but he's proven that he can do what it takes to win.
Mark (El Paso TX) [via mobile]
Do you think the 49ers have a good chance of making the playoffs.
Trey Wingo (1:33 PM)
I do, Mark. The NFC West is the most unpredictable division in football. They have the best RB, maybe the best defensive player in the division and clearly the most intimidating head coach.
Josephine (Springfield IL)
Rodgers at Rams? They are Rams but did not allow TD on road last week. Or Palmer at home vs. ticked off Pitt? Try the flatbreads while you are at Buff Wild Wings, OK thanks.
Trey Wingo (1:34 PM)
Josephine, dilemma, dilemma, dilemma. The Steelers can be attacked without Polamalu back there. but I'm just not ready to buy into the Bengals. You don't want to come after the Steelers after a loss. I would go with Rodgers.
Bryce (Fargo)
Do you think Rex Ryan is talking a little too much for a first year head coach two games into the season with a rookie QB?
Trey Wingo (1:35 PM)
Bryce, ask the Patriots if the talking was too much last week. Sincerely, Rex.
Chris (Saratoga Springs)
Trey, enough of Quinn, will this be the week Anderson gets his chance? If the Browns want a win this year it's time to sit the poster boy...just sayin'
Trey Wingo (1:36 PM)
Chris, this is an excellent question. It's one thing to stick with Quinn if they're winning and playing well. Anderson has been to a Pro Bowl and right now the Browns offense is dead last. 32 out of 32. One of two things is changing - they'll get better or Derek Anderson will play.
Joe (LA)
Taylor or Miley?
Trey Wingo (1:37 PM)
Lady Gaga....kidding.
Travis (Wisconsin)
Would you Trade Tomlinson for Jacobs?
Trey Wingo (1:38 PM)
Yes, but find me a person willing to make that deal right now.
Bryce (Fargo)
Do you think AP will be effected by his back this weekend?
Trey Wingo (1:38 PM)
I think Adrian Peterson is a freak-a-zoid. I'm not even sure he has a spine. He's just a mass of muscle rolling down the hill smacking people.
Tony (St. Louis)
I've got these three RBs: DeAngelo Williams, Chris Johnson and Fred Jackson. Who do I sit?
Trey Wingo (1:41 PM)
Listen, we don't know what the Cowboys are yet. They were a sieve in Week 1 but shut down Jacobs last week. And you don't sit a guy who had over 200 yards from scrimmage. And Buffalo has to score. So I go with Jackson and Johnson.
Trey Wingo (1:41 PM)
Thanks for your time.
