Chat with Dan Okrent

Auto Update: Off

Welcome to SportsNation! On Monday, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first ever fantasy league draft when we have the Founding Father of Fantasy, Dan Okrent, stopping by to chat. He will be featured in the upcoming film "Silly Little Game" that is part of ESPN's 30 for 30 project, commemorating ESPN's 30th anniversary. The film debuts April 20 (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).

"Silly Little Game" tells the origin of fantasy sports, which is estimated to be a $4 billion dollar industry. The modern fantasy leagues can be traced back to a group of writers and academics, including Okrent, who met at La Rotisserie Francaise in New York City to form a baseball league of their own.

Outside of inventing Rotisserie baseball, Okrent has had a distinguished career working at such places like the New York Times, Esquire Magazine, New England Monthly, Life Magazine and TIME. Fans can follow his work at and on Twitter: @okrent.

Send your questions now and join Okrent Monday at 3 p.m. ET!
