Good day, everybody. Skip Bayless here, aka the Diabolical Truth Teller, taking any question from any sport or nonsport.
Andrew (Allentown, PA)
Why do you HATE T.O so much
skip bayless (4:03 PM)
I do not HATE anybody. I knew Owens in San Francisco, supported him for a while, until he went over the edge from football player to wannabe celebrity. I soon nicknamed him Team Obliterator, and he has lived up to his nickname with three different teams. He's currently working on his fourth, although he has lost a step and now looks more like TOld. Cares only about himself, not about team success, and I cannot abide that.
How far do you see the Cowboys going this year? I believe they COULD make the Super Bowl. What about you?
skip bayless (4:04 PM)
In August, I picked the Cowboys to win the NFC East and at least one playoff game, and I'm sticking with it -- although they just lost Columbo and now Barber and Felix are fighting injury. But still: better than Eagles or Giants.
it's trc7880 from twitter by the way, huge fan
skip bayless (4:06 PM)
Thanks, Tom. I'm always @realskipbayless on Twitter, if you'd like to join the fray.
You are my go to sports authority if I want an objective opinion Skip. Just wanted to know what you think would be the better fit for the hapless BUFFALO BILLS. The West Coast Offensive minded Mike Shanahan or the 3-4 Steeler defensive minded Bill Cowher. Or is there someone is better suited to take the Bills passed the dreaded Music City Miracle Curse.
skip bayless (4:08 PM)
Thanks, Shaun, and sorry about the Bills. I'd go Shanahan, because no big-time coach will undertake the Buffalo situation without total control, and Shanahan is the best GM/coach available, even though Cowher is obviously much better building a defense and a mindset.
Skip! Brett Favre 17-3 TD/INT Ratio? Are you kidding me?! Last year he wasn't washed up, just banged up. What changed for him, was it the surgery or a change of psyche?
skip bayless (4:12 PM)
I drove the Favre bandwagon last year, then had to give up and say that's enough, Brett, in December. But I had no idea he had torn his biceps or that Dr. Andrews could give him a bionic arm AND remove the gunslinger cells from his brain. Miraculous operation! I don't even recognize the guy any more. Yes, he's surrounded by talent, but this is the most effective, eficient season he has EVER PLAYED. Story of the year in sports. Will he run out of gas? I thought he would, but see no signs.
Ambrose (Green bay)
Hwy skip just wanted to say thanks for keeping my spirits high with the packers season, at least someone sees what us packer fan see and that's a good to great team just need to get our stuff together
skip bayless (4:16 PM)
Yes, Ambrose, before the season I thought your Packers would wind up being the best team in the NFC. I didn't see 1) Favre's re-emergence or 2) GB losing both very good offensive tackles and not being able to protect ARodgers. But the Packers remain a very talented team. I predicted they would beat Dallas at Lambeau, and I still believe they'll go on a run to a wild card. If so, I would LOVE to see them vs. good old No. 4 once more, at Minnesota.
Who do you like Vandy or Oklahoma, your a Vandy grad so whats up?
skip bayless (4:21 PM)
What's up, Roller, is that I grew up in Oklahoma City in an extended family of crazed OU fans. Was taken to my first game when I was 5, by my grandfather. In my blood. I didn't choose Vanderbilt; it chose me: I won a full scholarship for sportswriting, called the Grantland Rice Scholarship, and came to believe Vandy is the best school in the country. I follow Vandy sports, and I'm happy if we win, but I don't live and die with it the way I still do the Sooners. I am DEVASTATED by the injuries that wrecked what promised to be the greatest season in OU history -- back-to-back Heismans and revenge in the title game over Florida. Oh, well.
It's been a few weeks since you had Ochocinco on your show. Have you contacted him since to admit you were wrong about the Browns being better than the Bengals?
skip bayless (4:26 PM)
I did not say the Browns were better than Ocho's team. I did predict 8-8 for the Bengals, or 4 games better than last year, and I thought that was wildly optimistic. Ocho said 12-4, which I don't think anyone believed, even him. Now he looks foolish for predicting his team would lose four. But his 12-4 has a real shot, and the Bengals are much better than I thought -- yet I'll still take Pittsburgh in the postseason, if Polamalu is healthy. Without him, Steelers have no shot.
Here's my take on the Patriots' decision to go for it on 4th-and-2 that I think no one else hs touched on: If you know you need just 2 yards to get a first down, to keep the drive alive, and Peyton Manning off the field, why oh why are you sending your receiver on a 2 yard route? Why not go at least 5-8 yards minimum to assure yourself of a a first down, in case the ball is juggled or the receiver has to take a step or two back to the ball? Why call a play thet will probably require a measurement that may not go in your favor?
skip bayless (4:30 PM)
I am not tired of this topic. I agree with Omarr's point. But I also believe that 1) Faulk was robbed on the spot, which is why I wish the NFL had no-limit replay, like college football and that 2) it's highly possible Belichick went for it because he had supreme confidence in his defense stopping Peyton from 29 yards. Pats had intercepted him twice, made Indy punt several more times, and the closer an offense gets to the endzone, the easier it can be to defend. In this case, the Addai blast up the middle was a killer, then RWayne needed a little push-off and a great catch to win the game.
J.B. (Dunmore, PA)
Weren't you in Sling Blade?
skip bayless (4:31 PM)
Yes, I was the blade.
Skip, have you ever thought about writing a Diabolic Truth book, giving your opinions on today's sports figures, teams, etc.? It'd be an interesting read for sure.
skip bayless (4:32 PM)
Yes, I have.
Skip_Bayless_Fanclub (Houston Chapter)
Im watching sportsnation and they are discussing jamarcus russell...do you agree that he had one good game against florida and thats what wrote his ticket to the nfl?
skip bayless (4:35 PM)
No, he had one Al Davis-fooling game against Charlie Weis' sorry defense, in the Sugar Bowl. At Florida that year, he threw three picks, and at Auburn, his offense couldn't score a TD and lost 7-3. I said again and again on 1st and 10 he was way overrated and not worth the first overall pick. Big bust.
Eldrick "Tiger" Woods (Windimeiere, FLA)
Am I winning the grand slam next year, or is Philly Mick and others spoiling the possibility. Gosh, I love all four courses and I've played incredible at all of them so it's looking good, not? Thank you, Mr. Bayless.
skip bayless (4:39 PM)
Dear Tiger "in the" Woods. The Slam is begging for you to win it next year, but I'm starting to think you've lost too much confidence, while "Philly Mick" has gained his back and then some. I mean, you couldn't even bully Y.E. Yang in the PGA! He took your best shots, hung tough, then YOU folded down the stretch. And don't give me the "knee" excuse. You won tournaments before every major last year. My man, you are going to feel more pressure than you've felt in your entire career heading into the Masters next April.
Is Brandon Jennings going to have a better career than Allen Iverson?
skip bayless (4:42 PM)
No. He reminds me of a young Iverson, but Iverson is a cinch Hall of Famer who is experiencing the saddest end to a career of any superstar. I just hope he can find a graceful exit. When you lose a step and you're only 5-11 -- and you still think of yourself as "Me, Myself and" Iverson -- you have problems. He won't come off the bench, but he's no longer unguardable. What amazes me about Jennings is that he shoots so well. Couldn't shoot a lick in Europe, which is why he fell in the draft.
Lebron James (NY)
Why do you hate me so much?
skip bayless (4:45 PM)
I do not hate you, Prince James. I just think you're way over-worshipped until you show us you've learned how to guide a team to a championship. Until then, you're just one long SportsCenter dunk highlight.
Mr. Bayless, since you've thought about writing a book, when can we expect to read it? and what did OCHO think of your proposal?
skip bayless (4:47 PM)
I believe Ocho was jealous that I proposed on the air the other day to a Jets cheerleader, who was much prettier than the Bengals cheerleader he proposed to. Mine accepted -- then broke it off after the show because she said I wasn't mature enough for her. She was right.
Tony (Statesboro, GA)
It seems like you and Ocho have a love to hate relationship, because I have watched both of you on First Take and follow you both on twitter, but it seems to be a friendly "agree to disagree" relationship. How are you and Ocho behind the scenes?
skip bayless (4:49 PM)
I really like Chad and get along great with him off camera. I still have issues with OchoCinco and took great pleasure in twice debating him under the table on 1st and 10 and I will continue one-upping him every time he takes a Twitter shot at me. Please, child.
Mick Yuille (Marysville, MI)
Thank you Skip for many reasons,yYou got me interested in Twitter and most importantly, you are the only one who speaks the truth about people like LeBrick, TOld, and Ocho Stinko.
skip bayless (4:50 PM)
Thank you, Mick.
Top 5 overrated Active Players 5. Dale Nohart Jr 4. Andy Roddick 3 Tim Tebow 2. Tom Brady 1. LeYork James;
skip bayless (4:53 PM)
I like your nickname LeYork James, though I'm starting to suspect he'll join DWade in Miami. But Tebow and Brady are NOT overrated. I believe Tebow can play QB in the NFL. Only catch could be that concussion was so serious that it could plague him quickly in pro football.
Skip - Got any Tattoos?
skip bayless (4:57 PM)
I will never, ever have a tat. I know I'm weird about this, but I believe in body-as-temple. I stay in obsessively great shape, running and lifting, and I'm content with my body without any ink on it. In fact, as early as grade school, I could not stand it if I accidentally got ink on my hand. But that's just me.

Are you going to the Blindside premier with Sandra Bullock?
skip bayless (4:58 PM)
Larry (Hernando Mississippi)
Skip you must hate me or something you never answer any of my questions on twitter and so far ive asked a zillion on here and nothing lol nothing what did I do to you
skip bayless (5:00 PM)
Larry, I went to answer your question -- and you didn't ask one!
Chris Ozz (Hayden, Id)
Skip, Tebow doesnt play QB, he leads the team in rushing. What good does that do me as an offensive coordinator when most D lineman can out run him in the NFL
skip bayless (5:02 PM)
Tim Tebow is an underrated passer and athlete. He just keeps making plays. Right now, he's my Heisman winner. His intangibles are just off the charts. Never seen such a force as Tebow. He could change a franchise, as a QB.
What is your favorite movie?
skip bayless (5:05 PM)
Too many to list, in too many genres. (Comedies: Caddyshack, Anchorman, Blazing Saddles, Naked Guns). But the other night, I started watch the Wizard of Oz for maybe the 50th time and I couldn't stop. Unbelievable: It still works. Got to be up there for me, as crazy as that sounds. And with that, I'm out, ladies and gentlemen. See you @realskipbayless and tomorrow at 10Eastern on 1st and 10. As always, had a blast.
