Jeremy- AP missing camp means nothing if he protects the ball this season....if he reverts to the same mistakes....what is a coach to do?
Jeremy Green (2:11 PM)
Its not a big deal he will be ready to roll. There is not much you can do in terms of drills for ball security.. a lot of his fumbles come after contact when he is trying to get extra yards
I know your a Bears fan so I was wondering what you thought of Devin Aromasado? I believe he a true diamond in the rough and could be this years Miles Austin/Sidney Rice. He is 6'2" ran a 4.35 at the combine, overshadowed by the running game of Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams at Auburn. Only Andre Johnson and Desean Jackson had more fantasy points the last 4 weeks of the season. Give this guy an opportunity!!!!!!
Jeremy Green (2:12 PM)
Yeah he is one of those players on my radar to check the preseason reps. WR is one of the toughest positions in the NFl to develop but he this guy has great measureables u can't coach
Mike (San Diego)
JG, how goes the injury? When will you be at 100%?
Jeremy Green (2:14 PM)
I am beat up... cast on cant walk... cant drive... Cast is coming off though on July 14... thanks for checking on me
Jeremy! Miss you on Football Today! Hey what's your take on T.O. you think a team my pick him up during the regular season?
Jeremy Green (2:16 PM)
It is easier to move inside to outside then vice versa so he could make the transition but you lose a lot of leadership in the middle. It will not affect his game... he won't miss a beat
Jeremy-Do you think this year will be the breakout season for the Houston Texans to brake through the playoff barrier? Which player will be the most responsible for this accomplishment?
Jeremy Green (2:17 PM)
I do... I think this is a playoff team... I am going to have them going in I think because I think this team will start faster then in recent years... I have to go with Schaub... i mean u look at the teams in the playoffs... common denominator is QB play
Speaking of the Bears, all the recent reports have Johnny Knox on top of the depth chart. Do you expect him to suffer from the dreaded sophomore slump in 2010?
Jeremy Green (2:20 PM)
Yeah we have seen that before... I dont think we will see that with Knox though from the standpoint that this team is just going to be so much better equipped to throw the football as Cutler had a year to get kind of acclimated... I think his numbers go up
Is Oakland really the second best team in AFC West? Denver looked nice last year but didn't they hurt themselvs in offseason trades and bad draft picks?
Jeremy Green (2:22 PM)
Come on man... they are still the Raiders.. they will find a way to ba bad.
Hey Jeremy, Who do you see winning the AFC east and how many wins do you think the Dolphins will get?
Jeremy Green (2:23 PM)
I think the Jets and Dolphins are closer then they were... You know as long as Brady is in a Pats uni though it is just hard for me to go against them
Jeremy, would you say there has been a shift towards selecting pass-catching running backs in the past few years? Michael Turner and Cedric Benson are good runners, but the versatility of guys like Ray Rice and LeSean McCoy add another weapon to the fold, no?
Jeremy Green (2:28 PM)
Yeah I think so especially when you look at that guy and he looks like you can increase his work load and he can still be pretty durable.
As a Clevelander living in the ATL, I can't take much more. Are the Browns heading in the right direction? We are about to lose LeBron and have always been a Browns town. I am glad I live in ATL now. My hometown makes me sick.
Jeremy Green (2:30 PM)
Damn Vinnie that is just a straight up rant man... Cleavlend sports right now I am not feeling it. THat said are they going in the right direction yeah I think they are because they have better leadership at the top with Holmgren
Jeremy Green (2:31 PM)
No question... it is too bad they will have the worst team in football in their division though
Chris (Los Angeles)
Hey Jermemy, do you think theres a possibilty of T.O signing with the Raiders? They have Cambell, but really no recievers, Darius-Heyward Bay didn't do anything last season, so should Oakland be a team to consider for Terrell?
Jeremy Green (2:34 PM)
Yeah he is one of the teams that is on my TO Radar because they need him and they are the type of team to think that it looks kind of splashy but I mean the TO watch? I mean that hype train died a while ago
Jeremy, do you have faith in Matt Leinart as a starting quarterback? He looked somewhat competent his rookie season, even though he didn't play much.
Jeremy Green (2:38 PM)
I cant say that I do but the offensive system is very good and I think that will protect him a little bit. And he has targets. But the preparation that goes in every week when you want to be an elite type of guy? I don't think Leinart is there mentally.
J, Tell me Tampa is on the road to respectability. They seem pretty pleased with the young guys and RAH in year 2. Bright days ahead? Thanks
Jeremy Green (2:42 PM)
I think they are better but I don't know that Josh Freeman is going to make that kind of leap in year two and his first season as the full time starter to say this team can really make some noise
Can you tell me why there is so much hate for Cutler and the Bears? It's not like he didn't have good years in the past, and shown good ability. I can't wait to see his naysayers choke on some "crow" after this season. Martz's track record speaks for itself.
How big of an impact do you see Rolando McClain having on the raiders in the umpcoming season
Anquan Boldin (Ravens OTA)
Everyone has forgotten about me and how this trade gives the Ravens a Legit #1 WR. Along with the TE we have and drafted we are going to be sick. Oh and we still have Ray Lewis!
Jeremy Green (2:53 PM)
That is a real good point on Boldin. If you really look at a team that maybe had a bigger glaring need then Baltimore at WR you are not going to find many. This move makes them a legit Super Bowl contender
Jeremy, what do you expect from the Giants this year? They seem to be flying below the radar.
Jeremy Green (2:55 PM)
Yeah maybe a little bit. I think a lot of it will depend on the offensive line which at times due to injury and a little age was not what it was. They are a team that if they can pound the rock everything else kind of falls into place to they have to be physical up front
If you had to pick, who will be the better QB this season: Henne or Kolb? Long term?
Jeremy Green (3:01 PM)
I would go Henne long term. Yeah I think he is going to be a legit one... I am not sold on Kolb yet and I don't know that he can handle the pressure of those big shoes he has to fill
Jeremy Green (3:01 PM)
Hey guys thanks for all the great questions... see you next week
