Joe Mauer
Mauer was the first overall pick of the 2001 draft.

Welcome to SportsNation! We now start your day with a morning dose of the Buzzmaster. He'll be with you every weekday morning at 10 a.m. ET to see what's on your mind. On Tuesday, we'll have a special guest stopping by when Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer drops in at 10:40 a.m. ET.

In just six full seasons at the major league level, Mauer, the 2009 AL MVP, has already won the most batting titles ever by a catcher. A four-time all-star, Mauer's .327 career average ranks third among active MLB players. For the second straight year, Mauer will be the cover athlete for Sony's MLB 11: The Show that is set to be released on March 8 on PS3.
