Buzzmaster (3:34 PM)
Hang on guys, we're tracking down Barry now.
Barry Melrose (3:39 PM)
I just hope everybody enjoyed last night's games. I just might be the best hockey we've seen all season.
Does Mike Richards have a point?Even if not, was it wise for Ruff to ruffle the Flyers' feathers?
Barry Melrose (3:40 PM)
Mike Richards has to play with an edge because he hasn't had a great series. If I'm a Flyers fan, I want to see Richards get involve physically. And if you play the Flyers, you must stand up to them or they will beat you.
Mikael S (Whistler BC)
Can Luongo close the door on the defending champs tonight and push us to the next round
Barry Melrose (3:41 PM)
I think he better. You don't want to give a team like Chicago life. They played a great Game 4 and finally looked like they cared if they won or loss. But Vancouver must learn from Detroit, when you have a team down you must finish them off.
James Neal hits that slapper 9/10, right Barry?
Barry Melrose (3:42 PM)
I think he can take another 100 shots and not score another goal on Roloson. That was a terrible goal.
Barry, which series has been the most entertaining for you to follow?
Barry Melrose (3:44 PM)
I would say the Rangers vs. Capitals. The games have been very intense, great games. And with so much pressure on Washington to win, that makes everything more interesting.
How good of a chance do the lightning still have of winning the series
Barry Melrose (3:45 PM)
Coming back down 3-1 is tough. It doesn't happen very often. Pittsburgh is playing a great style of hockey and they have Fleury in net, so their chances aren't very good.
Danny F (Toledo OH)
How impressive was the Red Wings sweep, given the absence of Zetterberg....can they win it all?
Barry Melrose (3:46 PM)
I'm very impressed with Detroit. I think they are playing the best hockey in the NHL right now.
Daniel M (Mesa, AZ)
Did we just witness the last of the 'Yotes last night? Would a deeper playoff run really have made a difference?
Barry Melrose (3:46 PM)
No, I don't think it would but it's a terrible way to end an era if the Coyotes really do go to Winnipeg.
Dave S (Delco Pa)
Hey Barry Sabres or Flyers who takes the series, and me and a buddy were arguing last night. Richards "elbow" 2 mins, 5 mins, or nothing? whats your take?
Barry Melrose (3:48 PM)
I should have been five minutes. I agree with that call, it was a blatant elbow. I still think the Flyers still find a way to win this series.
What do you think of Lindy's comments about the Flyers being a bunch of whiners? personally, i agree :-)
Barry Melrose (3:49 PM)
Every coach and every team is trying to get calls and they are going after the refs all the time. I sure Peter could say something about the Sabers also. It just makes better TV for all of us.
Who are you betting on now to make it to the Stanley Cup finals: Sharks, Canucks or the RED WINGS?
Barry Melrose (3:50 PM)
I still like the Canucks. I love the way Detroit is playing right now but I still think the Canucks are the best team in the West.
Ryan (Lake Zurich, IL)
Do you think the blackhawks can come back and make it a series?
Barry Melrose (3:51 PM)
No, I think Vancouver will be better prepared and won't be surprised by Chicago. I think Vancouver will get the job done tonight.
Is this Bruins/Canadiens Series destined to go 7 games whether or not Montreal or Boston wins tonight?
Barry Melrose (3:52 PM)
If Montreal wins, I don't think it will go 7 but if Boston wins I think it will go 7.
JA (Houston, TX)
who has a better chance to comeback and win their series lightning, blackhawks, or rangers and why?
Barry Melrose (3:53 PM)
Rangers. I think because of how close the series have been and the Rangers are a very good road team.
ethan (chicago )
what are your thought of the blackhawks with bolland in the lineup?
Barry Melrose (3:53 PM)
He's make a big difference. He has four points in the last game and he's a heck of a player. That was a big shot in the arm for the Blackhawks in getting him back.
Luis (Los Angeles)
Do you think the Kings can beat the sharks?
Barry Melrose (3:54 PM)
Yes. I think the Kings have been the better team in this series so far. I certainly think the Kings can come back and win this series.
Brian (Orchard Park)
Do you think the cheapshot (spear) by Timonen at the end of game 4 to Nathan Gerbe warrants a suspension?? Thanks Barry!
Barry Melrose (3:55 PM)
No. I think it was a love tap that go people angry. I don't think it warrants a suspension.
who wins tonight, b's or habs?
Barry Melrose (3:56 PM)
I like Boston. I like the fact the got to Price. I like Chara and I think the Bruins will tie the series up tonight.
If the Pens move to the next round and play somewhat well, should there be talk of trading Malkin?
Barry Melrose (3:57 PM)
No. I think they won a Staley Cup with him, he fits is to their salary structure and he a great player. I don't think there is any talk of moving Malkin.
Care to take back your prediction of the Yotes taking out the Wings? Detroit looks very very good...
Barry Melrose (3:58 PM)
I never said the Coyotes will beat the Wings. I said the Wings would be the Coyotes. And you are right the Wings look very, very good right now.
Rob (San Antonio)
Who's Aaron Asham and where did he come from? Really like the Pens game. Do you think they can keep it up?
Barry Melrose (3:59 PM)
Aaron Asham has been around a long time. He's played for many different teams. He won a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh and he's a real good third or fourth line guy in the NHL.
Barry Melrose (4:00 PM)
Keep enjoying the games and I'll speak to you next week!
