Welcome to SportsNation! On Thursday, the U.S. Davis Cup captain Jim Courier stops by to chat about the just completed U.S. Open as well as his playing in the upcoming Champions Series.

Courier won four Grand Slam titles in his career and was ranked No. 1 for a total of 58 weeks in his career, spanning 1992-93. He reached the finals of all four of the Grand Slam tournaments, a feat accomplished by only seven other players.

For five weeks this fall, Courier will join other tennis legends like Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, and Pete Sampras in the Champions Series. The circuit will travel to 12 U.S. cities for one-night tournaments. The prize pool will total $1 million.
