Robles was a three-time Pac-10 wrestling champion, finishing his 2010-11 senior season at Arizona State undefeated at 36-0, winning the Pac-10 and national 125-pound divisions. Born with only one leg, Robles developed himself into one of the top wrestlers in the country and prior to college, he won two Arizona high school state championships, going 48-0 over his final two seasons.
