Lloyd has served in his role since 1994. Lloyd and Jim Valvano were college roommates and teammates at Rutgers, where as a senior in 1967, Lloyd became Rutgers' first basketball All-America honoree. Lloyd went on to play two seasons of professional basketball with the New York Nets before embarking on a business career.
