Have any tips for golfing with a broken wrist?
Farrell Evans (3:01 PM)
Welcome to my first chat of the new year. I hope that everyone is ready for an exciting year in golf.John, as for your broken wrist, I would rest it until it heals. There is no way with a broken wrist that you can properly set the golf club at the top of the swing or compress the ball at impact.

What is the Coldest Temperature that the Golfers Played in on the PGA Tour?
Farrell Evans (3:02 PM)
Chris,When the Tour gets to the west coast there will be some cool morning temperatures at just about all the tournaments. By the time the tour comes east in the summer, it's pretty hot.
Farrell - Could you please predict the results for this year's four majors?
Farrell Evans (3:16 PM)
Frank,There is so much parity in the game right now. No one really has stepped up to take the mantle from Tiger as the dominant player on tour. So I like four different winners in the majors. Luke Donald finally gets a major win at the Masters. Bill Haas or Nick Watney takes the U.S. Open. Tiger wins the British Open and Bubba Watson takes the PGA. That's an early guess. I will have a better sense of things after the West Coast swing.
Farrell Evans (3:21 PM)
Does anyone believe that Tiger Woods will have a great season in 2012?
Who do you think takes the money title this year?
Farrell Evans (3:38 PM)
Craig,I like Webb Simpson. He had a great year in 2011 and there is no reason for him to have a slump this year. I look for him to jump out of the gates this week at Kapalua with a win.
Which non-winners on the tour break out a get their first win this year?
Farrell Evans (3:44 PM)
In 2010 we saw a record six rookies win on tour. I don't expect that many this year, but I do like Harris English, the young kid out of Georgia, to make an early impression. As far as veterans, I like Briny Baird. He had a good chance last year at the Frys.Com Open in October, but he came up a little short of his goal, losing in a playoff to Bryce Molder.
As far as "will Tiger have a great season", what is great for this guy? I think we see Tiger win one major(Masters) and he scoops up two more during the season. I think he definitely finishes in the top 10 this year, but only if he stays healthy!
Farrell Evans (3:51 PM)
Craig,Hopefully, Tiger is past his injuries and can sincerely practice and compete at the level that he feels comfortable. But unfortunately Tiger may not have great success until he reckons with some of his personal demons that have shackled him since Thanksgiving 2010. I know he would disagree, but he's not the same mental player that he was before his personal life unraveled.
Last question....What rookies do you see making an impact this year and which one finishes the highest on the money list?
Farrell Evans (3:52 PM)
Craig,J.J. Killeen, Jason Kokrak, Harris English, Richard H. Lee and Brian Harman could all have good years and finish easily inside the top 50 on the money list at the end of the year.
Who do you like this week, beyond Simpson who you mentioned before?
Farrell Evans (3:53 PM)
I'm going to go out on a limb and pick Steve Stricker. I know that's not much of a risk, but he's probably the best player in the field other than Simpson.
One more...What new faces could we see for the Americans on the next Ryder Cup team?
Farrell Evans (3:59 PM)
Craig,Unless Keegan Bradley has a horrible year, he should make his first Ryder Cup team. I also like Bo Van Pelt to finally break through and find the limelight that his game deserves.
Any surprise players to look for this week at Kapalua?
Farrell Evans (4:00 PM)
Sal,Harrison Frazar and Michael Bradley would blow me away if they competed. But in a small field like this I wouldn't bet against them.
Who's your pick from the Nationwide grads to have the biggest impact this year?
Farrell Evans (4:02 PM)
Michael,It's a toss up between Jason Kokrak and J.J. Killeen. Kokrak is a bomber with a good nature and Killeen is a steady player who won that Tour's money title.
Farrell Evans (4:03 PM)
I'm checking out now. Please join me next week: same time, same place. Enjoy the golf this week. So long.
