Rusty (Indian Trail, NC)
How are the Tar Heels going to do recruiting now that the NCAA stuff is behind them and they can start moving forward.
Corey Long (3:04 PM)
I don't think this is going to cripple them long term. Already he has 8 commits in the class. Six of the eight are from NC and that's the area thats the area that needs to be focused on.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
Who do you think will be the Best High School Player in College Football in 2012?
Corey Long (3:06 PM)
I think Mario Edwards is going to make an impact at FSU and Nelson Agholor at USC and Jonathan Gray at Texas. But overall I think Dorial Green-Beckham is going to be heard from the most at Mizzou.
Vic (Homestead (FL))
Hey Corey, where do you see Matthew Thomas ending up? I think it will be the "U"
Corey Long (3:09 PM)
I think it's going to be a FSU and Miami until he signs a sheet of paper. Early prediction would be Florida State for me.
Tony (Richmond, CA)
Who is the best prospect in the Sunshine State this year?
Corey Long (3:10 PM)
Vernon Hargraves, DB out of Wharton HS in Tampa Florida in the Class of 2013.
Tony (Richmond, CA)
Is Robert Nkemdiche a lock for Bama?
Corey Long (3:12 PM)
A couple of weeks ago, I would have said yes. But now that he's pushing his commitment back to May 18. I think Alabama and Georgia are trying to vye for his services. Clemson, Ole Miss and LSU are on the outside looking in right now.
Kevin (Reno, NV)
Will Rich Rodriguez or Todd Graham be able to keep in state stars Marcus Farria, Chans Cox, and Devon Allen away from the other Pac-12 schools?
Corey Long (3:14 PM)
The top players out west will be considering USC and Oregon, but Rich Rod has made strong inroads with the top offensive prospects in the area.
Who is going to have the best recruiting class in Florida this year?
Corey Long (3:15 PM)
I would say its between Florida and Florida State because they are going to have more scholarships than Miami in this class due to sanctions.
disgruntled ND fan (south bend)
where will aaron lynch end up? was he close to signing with any florida schools before ending up at ND?
Corey Long (3:17 PM)
I think he will check out USF and UCF. He committed to Florida State before switching to Notre Dame and apparently upon getting his release, Lynch can not play at Florida, FSU or Miami.
dan k (fla)
which fsu commit will make the biggest impact as a freshman?
Corey Long (3:18 PM)
Mario Edwards Jr. or RB Mario Pender, in my opinion.
sunshine state (florida)
better recruiter: al golden or will muschamp?
Corey Long (3:19 PM)
I would say Golden because he does more with less. Muschamp has a tremendous support group around him and a strong community with Gatornation. Golden also stole Tracy Howard from Florida which was a huge pickup.
Kyle (St Louis)
How has Mizzou's SEC move been taken so far in the Georgia and Florida areas?
Corey Long (3:22 PM)
Mizzou is definitely coming to Florida and Georgia pretty strong. Last year they were able to sign TE Sean Culkin out of Florida, who is a heckuva sleeper prospect and Brandon Holyfield who decommitted from Miami. These next couple years, they need to find coaches who have inroads in the area. But they are certainly making progress.
nike camp (everywhere)
which player has the most to prove in the 2013 class?
Corey Long (3:23 PM)
I would say Knemdiche because everyone is keyed on him to try and make a name for themselves. When you are the top dog, its tough to stay there.
paul (pgh pa)
how will notre dame's recruiting in south be affected by aaron lynch's transfer?
Corey Long (3:24 PM)
I don't think it does. There have been many players in the South who have thrived at ND. It won't affect ND because everyone's situation is separate.
Where do you think Robert Knemdiche ends up?
Corey Long (3:25 PM)
End of the day, he's headed to Alabama in my opinion.
fiu alum (miami)
did mario cristobal's decision to stay at FIU result in a recruiting bump?
Corey Long (3:26 PM)
I think it resulted in him being able to hang onto the guys that he has targeted. Not so sur it was a bump though.
Corey Long (3:28 PM)
