Welcome to SportsNation! On Wednesday, ESPN.com NASCAR reporter David Newton will stop by to chat and will be joined by driver Darrell Wallace Jr. who made his Nationwide debut last Sunday.

Wallace, a product of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity program, came up through the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East developmental circuit. He won six times in the series, including becoming the youngest driver and first African-American to win at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.

Newton covers motorsports for ESPN.com after a career covering the NFL, college athletics and NASCAR. Newton previously worked for NASCAR.com and covered NASCAR and the Carolina Panthers for South Carolina's largest newspaper, The State, in Columbia. He has also served as a correspondent for Sports Illustrated, covered seven Super Bowls, dozens of college bowl games and every major race on the NASCAR circuit.
