Georgia is very deep at receiver, just not at blocking receiver if that makes sense. Losing Marlon Brown and Michael Bennett really hurts the Bulldogs since both are playmakers and big blockers downfield. But Georgia has yet to make full use of Chris Conley, Rantavious Wooten, and Justijn Scott-Wesley. Rhett McGowan and Taylor Bradberry can also be expected to step up. I think they will be fine. As for the Auburn game I think Georgia wins by 24.

Sure, so long as Georgia holds onto the ball. A strong defense always gives a team a chance and when the offense is on, it scores points in bunches. But turnovers could doom Georgia to a repeat of last year. LSU showed how to attack Alabama, and Georgia will follow the game plan if they get there. If the Dawgs win the turnover battle, then they stand more than a puncher's chance. Key battle in that game, if it happens, will be Bama's defensive line versus Georgia's offensive line.

Good, but Georgia seems to be working on a plan "B". After hosting A.J. Turman and Bryan McClendon flying out to see Ashton Shumpert in Mississippi, it looks like Georgia is hedging its bets -- unlike they did last year at wide receiver and cornerback.

Everyone has been talking about how Manti Te'o is the best linebacker in the league, but Jarvis Jones is a better NFL prospect, and seems to play with more fire then Te'o. Plus he was a First Team All-American last season when Te'o was second. Whats your take?

Jarvis plays a position that is in higher demand in the NFL, that quick outside pass rush. Thus he is considered by some to be the better NFL prospect, just like Jadeveon Clowney and even freshman Jordan Jenkins are being talked about as high draft picks. As for fire, I can't say who has more. Jarvis is a beast on the field but seems to approach the game relaxed. Te'o is a firecracker. Tough to quantify the difference.

Now this is a guess since I can't say how he is going to grow but looking at the talent at outside linebacker and the need for experienced safeties next year, I thing Josh Harvey-Clemons stays in the secondary for at least the next year.

I know its a negative question, but just curious how strong you think Tray, Shaq, Tramel and some of the other commits are to the dawgs. With them visiting other schools, which is understandable, but actually giving them serious consideration?

I predict they will lose at least one more. Trying to manage an eventual class of 32-34 commits is tough. Success at one position can have an inverse effect on recruiting. These are young kids and they change their mind. Best to keep an eye on some of the out of state commitments like Steven Nelson and/or Uriah LeMay.

How does UGA handle a recruit like Robert N. who is commited elsewhere, doesn't have you as a leader, and is probably just going to the game to watch his brother play?

They bring him in, give him a ticket and try to sway him. They hope for the best and urge the Georgia commits to work on him. It only costs them a ticket which they have already put aside for recruits anyway. Heck, they probably like the attention his visits gives the school -- good publicity and all that.

Two weeks. No, seriously I have no idea. I can't think of anyone that is about to commit or has a decision that is imminent. But then I did get a text from a young man the other day saying a lot of people wanted his story but he would just prefer to tell me. He didn't say what it was about but the last one of those I received was a commitment. Of course it could be just a story about his latest visit. We will see. Hit Kipp up on The Pound as he has a running calendar in his head for stuff like this.

Georgia has a long history of honoring offers to injured players: Brent Benedict, Brandon Burrows, Reggie Carter and so on. But with Johnson being a Juco player, they have to be rethinking it. My guess is UGA still takes him since that is Mark Richt's normal operating procedure. But passing on Jay Woods and Kelsey Griffin seems like a bad idea now -- not that they could have predicted this.

The Dawg's freshman place kicker makes me real nervous this year especially if game is on the line. Do you think it is just the fact that he is a freshman and needs more experience or do you think coaching staff may look to someone else in the future?

It sounds weird but I think they are fine with his field goal kicking. Yes he gets too nervous and I think he will mature out of the yips or whatever is bothering him. But I would not be surprised if they let a walk-on next year come in and kick PATs. There are only a few spots left and I don't see them using a spot on a kicker, especially after how the whole Brandon Bogotay situation worked out.

After beating Arizona State and losing to Oklahoma State, I guess the Colorado game was the west tie-breaker. Georgia had plans to play Ohio State and I believe Oregon but all the schools involved agreed to drop the games. Richt wins a lot on the road and I don't think he is sacred at all, But Greg McGarity, the newish athletic director wants to have seven home games so I don't see many more trips out west.

Normally I would agree with you but they are playing well, beating good teams and have had some exciting games. I have never been a Notre Dame fan but this year I see why they are getting a lot of attention. Besides, I like Stephon Tuitt since I covered him at Monroe Area.

This is what I mentioned earlier as the biggest determining factor in that game should Georgia beat Auburn. With Georgia getting blown off the ball last week against Ole Miss, even when they went to max-protect (seven linemen), I would have to say no. But as the game progressed, despite losing starter Chris Burnett, Georgia was able to run and protect out of a five linemen set. So the start of the game could be a problem until Georgia makes some adjustments.

Radi,Can you explain the Sugar Bowl selection process? Chris Low and Ed Ashcroff have suggested in several articles that, if the SEC sends a representative, it is between LSU and Florida. Is there some reason for the preference over Georgia? Assuming all three schools win out the regular season, I would think that Georgia should at least be equally considered since LSU would have two regular season losses and UGA beat UF. And there would be no issue filling the stands either. Thanks

The Sugar Bowl would not have a problem filing the seats with LSU or UF. The Gators will be 11-1 and ranked higher than a two-loss Georgia team. So will LSU as Georgia would drop below the Tigers since LSu will have two losses to the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation.

Why hasn't Ray Drew gotten much any playing time this year? He was in alot during the Ole Miss game, but other than than, haven't seen much of him. Should UGA move him to OLB/DE to utilize his long arms & athletic ability instead of having play DE in the 3-4?

He is between positions as he is truly a 4-3 defensive end. But He is learning how to be that inside guy in the 3-4 and is getting better every game (or so it appears to me). Expect him to play more the rest of the way.
