Matthew (Los Angeles, ca)
The giants secondary has given up too many big plays this year. Do you see them hanging on to Terrell Thomas for next year?
Ohm (2:04 PM)
Matthew, I think it all depends on how his health is. The Giants have an option on his contract so they only have to pay this year I believe and that is it if they choose to. I would believe that depending on his knee, they could just invite him back to camp and see how he does for a low-rate short-term deal. Doesn't hurt right?
I'm the biggest expert on defensive schemes, but I always wonder why, for example on the AJ Green TD, why does webster stop running with him? I understand that he expected help from stevie brown but even if he is what use is it to stop running with him, there isn't anyone underneath to defend. Would love your take on that.
Ohm (2:09 PM)
James, I'm no defensive coordinator but if Webster thought his responsibility on that play was to take the underneath half, and the safety would take the receiver from there, that is what he thought. It doesn't matter whether there is anyone else underneath or not, you kind of have to stick to your responsibility and trust other person will fulfill theirs. But, with all that being said, I don't know what that exact play entailed.
Keith (Stillwater, NY)
Is Kenny Phillips coming back after the bye?
Ohm (2:10 PM)
Keith, that is certainly the hope. Coughlin said they held him out of last game to give him more rest and that they didn't think he was ready to return just yet. They also hope Jacquian Williams might be back soon as well.
Michael C. (Westport, CT)
Looking at the Giants and Cowboys skeds, it's almost a done deal that the Giant go 9-7 and the Cowboys 10-6. A ridiculous difference in quality of opponents. your thoughts?
Ohm (2:11 PM)
Michael, you probably were one of those that thought the Cowboys were going to finish ahead of the Giants last year as well and remember, they lost to the Cardinals and iced their own kicker. I guess what I am saying is, anything can happen. Don't just go solely on schedule. Just like the Giants, the Cowboys can lose to anybody at any time.
Matt S. (LaGrangeville)
Do you think that Wilson should start getting more touched with Bradshaw ALWAYS hurt?
Ohm (2:12 PM)
Matt, I think Wilson should get a few more touches and it has nothing to do with Bradshaw injured. I just want to see the Giants put the ball into the hands of as many playmakers as possible. But their argument is he still has to grasp all the responsibilities such as protecting Eli and recognizing defenses. In other words, they don't trust their rookie just yet.
Ohm, the attendance of NFL games is declining at an alarming rate. What do you attribute this to? and do you expect revenues to rebound soon?
Ohm (2:13 PM)
Well Watt, I don't really see this outside of a select few places like Cincinnati or Jacksonville or places that historically didn't draw as well. But most of the places I've been to, the stadiums are packed and sold out. Just take a look at the NFC East. All their stadiums pretty much sell out.
Ohm (2:15 PM)
OK guys, thanks for the questions today! Much appreciated!
