Welcome to SportsNation! On Thursday, Super Bowl XVII champion quarterback Joe Theismann stops by to break down Sunday's Super Bowl XLVII.

Theismann, @Theismann7, helped the Washington Redskins to the organization's first Super Bowl win, 27-17 over the Miami Dolphins. He threw for 143 yards and two TDs, while MVP John Riggins ran for 166 yards.

Theismann won the league MVP in 1983, passing for 3,714 yards and 29 touchdowns as he led the Redskins back to the Super Bowl. He first joined Washington in 1974, returning punts during his rookie year.

The former QB will appear in the Feb. 13 episode of USA's Necessary Roughness that airs at 10 p.m. ET.
