Adam (Ann Arbor)
Hey Sean,When it's all said and done which of the brothers will of had a better career in Burnt Orange-Quandre or Quentein?Final one, your in a 3 on 3 hoops tournament, which 2 players on the current roster are you taking? Happy Friday!
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:04 PM)
Great questions and I'll answer on the fly. The Diggs vs. Jammer question as too much left to be written on the story. Right now I'm with Jammer. Crazy s it seems, I'm taking Kabongo (too quick) and Lammert (shot blocker).
Is this going to be a bigger year for David Ash or Johnathon Gray?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:05 PM)
This is going to be a bigger year for David Ash. Not because Gray is not a great player but because the running back group is probably the best in the country. I believe Gray will have a big year but I believe this will be a year that will shock many for Ash.
Morning Sean. Fair weather longhorn fans need to take a deep breath last years team was not that bad they won nine games and six against bowl teams. They did have some poor games but you will have that inconsistency with younger players. I really see them having a great year this year what do you see being there ceiling and floor.
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:09 PM)
I like your thoughts and the only thing I will add to it is that the care and concern for the Longhorn fans is that the losses were really bad like Oklahoma or where hey had really bad play like TCU. The fact that West Virginia looked like world beaters when they came to Austin and won and tanked the rest of the year adds to the narrative as well.
Ez28 (Davis, CA)
Last year you told me not to worry about the safety position because Philips or Thompson had it more than covered. Going into this season who ya got and how much trust do you have in them?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:13 PM)
Man that is a loaded question. There is not doubt that I got a little over my skis when it came to replacing Blake Gideon. I like Thompson and Phillips even though the flaws were glaring. They both will be better but I don't know which one will get the call. You also have to remember that tackling was an issue across the board, not jut at safety.
What do you make of the TE position in 2013? Will we rely much on a TE in the passing game or go to more 4 WR sets? Who do you expect to contribute and how much?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:16 PM)
I think the Big 12 can be a conference where the TE can be huge. The JUCO transfer Geoff Swaim and M.J. McFarland will both be good but will be different. If McFarland's blocking can come along, he has the potential to be big time He has to be able to play every don though.
Stephen (Seattle, WA)
Who is the sleeper in the 2013 class. May not play this coming year but could be potentially BIG time for the Horns. Who do you pick?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:22 PM)
I'm going to go with the late addition to the class in Montrel Meander from Amarillo. You look at his film and you will really get excited about his ball skill and his length.
What are your thoughts on Diaz this season? Do you see him taking a much more hands on approach with the LB's and being more in your face? I reallize you probably don't get to watch them in practice either, but I need to know they are changing the way they prepare.
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:25 PM)
The way they prepare will probably mirror more of what we saw and heard about late in the year. Major Applewhite and Diaz spoke of making the players uncomfortable in their preparation and them seeing the fruit of that work. He has to change the a he prepares and I would bet tat more full contact and tackling to the ground will take place.
Tyler (Louisville, KY)
Tired question, I know... How hot is Mack Brown's seat coming into this season?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:31 PM)
I don't like the term "hot seat" but Mack Brown is feeling the pressure for sure. He is feeling a lot of pressure that he puts on himself. He surely does not want to have the best times of his tenure be in the middle. He is trying to get back to 10 or 11 regular season wins.
Gary (San Antonio)
Any chance Hicks moves to the middle and Edmonds moves to DE?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:34 PM)
I like Hicks to the MLB and Edmonds to DE could work but I think he stays at MLB for now.
James (Austin )
What are your thoughts on Bob Stoops firing three assitants? I thought it was a scummy thing to sign all those recruits and then fire their position coach.
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:38 PM)
There is no other time to fire coaches. He needed change in a bad way. There were plenty of problems in that locker room.
Bowdeezy (Camp Pendleton)
Do you see Adrian Colbert emerging as a strong contender to start at safety during spring ball?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:40 PM)
I could see him making a jump because the job will be open. He is going to have to go win the job though.
Art (Dallas )
It is absolutely pathetic for Deloss to compare Texas to Mizzou. Since when is Mizzuo the standard of excellence. His comments show that he doesn't truly understand the anger and frustration that fans are feeling over having to pay thousands of dollars for a team that consistantly under performs. I guess it has become acceptable to just win 8-9 games and get killed by Oklahoma
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:43 PM)
I did not get the comment at all. Texas has been referenced to as the "Jones". There should never be a comparison.
Mary (Leander, TX)
Be honest please.Do you see a concern trying to run a hurry up offense with slow and methodical Ash at the helm? I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around it. The change seems to fit McCoy, Brewer, Overstreet, and Swoopes better than Ash. I am concerned that he isn't accurate and efficient enough, he already lacks intensity and intangibles, and look at how many delay of game penalties he had trying to hurry it up against WVU. I don't see him starting beyond BYU in this new offense. Thanks, your thoughts....
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:46 PM)
Ash ran a spread and threw it around lot in high school. He is more comfortable with pre-nap reads and getting the ball out. That is what he needs to concentrate on. Ash is the leader in the clubhouse and I think he will remain there unless someone shows they are clearly better.
barron (TRIPLE D)
Two part question are they going to come up with a package for jalen overstreet this season in the new offense and can texas finally have a 1000 yard rusher malcom brown reminds me of Butch Hadnott....
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:49 PM)
You have to be careful hoping for a 1,000 yard rusher. If Brown, Gray and Bergeron all run for 800 yards, the running game will be fine.
Florida Horn (Destin, Florida)
Should Jadavion Clowney sit out this season to prepare for the nfl?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:53 PM)
No he should not. He should play but it does underline the issues with the sport.
Stephen (Seattle, WA)
Other than Kabango, do you see anybody else on the team progressing into NBA talent? and why?
Sean Adams, HornsNation (12:54 PM)

Thanks for all the questions.
