David Ching (12:02 PM)
Hi everybody. Let's get going.
David Ching (12:04 PM)
Accidentally just deleted a question (instead of posting) from our friend Chris in New York asking which freshman will be biggest for Georgia this fall.
David Ching (12:05 PM)
I'm taking Tray Matthews there. Otherwise, keep an eye on guys at linebacker (maybe Reggie Carter?), cornerback (Shaq Wiggins or Reggie Wilkerson?), tailback (A.J. Turman or Brendan Douglas?). And probably on the defensive line (John Atkins?). They've got some spots where freshmen will almost certainly fill in some of the depth.
If signing day was today, where do you think Carter and Shaw would sign?
David Ching (12:07 PM)
Hard to say. I've seen predictions already with both of them picking Alabama, but it doesn't sound to me like they've made up their minds yet. I think Georgia would do well to get either one of those guys, but getting both would be a very positive surprise.

What do you project Murrays ceiling as do you think he can be an NFL starter
David Ching (12:09 PM)
For me the odds are against him being a longtime NFL starter because of his height. A 6-1 guy just doesn't hold down one of those jobs for long, it seems. But he's a good, smart player. I think he'll get a shot to prove me wrong. That's all he can ask for. Either way, I think he'll be in the league for a while.
How is Tramel Terry progressing in his ACL rehab?
David Ching (12:11 PM)
Very well. Last I heard, he was running and right on schedule -- maybe even a little bit ahead. I think the plan is to see how he feels and what his mobility is like in preseason camp and then figure out how to proceed from there. They've got plenty of WRs this year, so they don't HAVE to have him, but he'd be a nice addition to the group if he can go.
Frank (New Orleans)
Can Marshall Morgan make extra points this year consistently and be more consistent from the 40-49 yard range?
David Ching (12:13 PM)
That might be one of the keys to the season that nobody is discussing too much. The schedule strength ramps up a bit this season, so a game might come down to him doing those two things. It sounded like he had a decent spring and I know he's been working hard. I think he'll progress this fall.
whats the mascot of georgia?

You guys might enjoy the questions and comments I'm deleting instead of posting. You can tell school is out of session.
Frank (New Orleans)
With the post spring depth chart released, how shocking is it that John Theus isn't considered a starter at RT?
David Ching (12:20 PM)
Not shocking, but it was a mild surprise to see in print. He missed a good portion of the spring and by all accounts Xzavier Ward had a great spring. I think they wanted to send a message to both guys to keep working. Either way, I suspect they'll both play a lot this fall if healthy.
Frank (New Orleans)
How much pressure is on Jordan Jenkins to step up this year because of the lack of experience from the rest of the defense?
David Ching (12:32 PM)
Certainly there will be some, especially because he is their only established pass rusher. I don't go into the season thinking they will be great if he's great and they will stink if he doesn't have a good year, though. They need him to be solid because they don't have many guys who have played a lot, but I think they'll eventually be OK either way.
David Ching (12:33 PM)
OK everybody, I think we'll call it quits for today. You guys have a great week. Georgia has some big prospect camps this week, so keep your eyes on DawgNation to see what news comes out of the events.
