The Phoenix Suns entered the 2004 offseason looking to add a veteran point guard, looking to add leadership and looking to add some mental toughness. They found it all in Steve Nash.

Just hours into the league's free-agent negotiating period, the franchise's top brass flew to Dallas with power forward Amaré Stoudemire to try and lure Nash, their No. 1 target, back to the team that selected him 15th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Whatever was said worked, as Nash has returned to the Valley to take the reigns of a young and athletic group with the potential to make a big splash in the much-changed Western Conference. The Canadian native is one of the league's elite playmakers, ranking in the top 12 in assists in each of the last four seasons, and is anxious to continue sharing the wealth with his new running mates, including Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson and Quentin Richardson.

Among the most accurate free-throw and three-point shooters in league history, the nine-year NBA vet will take aim at guiding the Suns back to the playoffs after a one-year absence. But first, Nash will take your questions during a live chat from the Suns' Training Camp in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Send in your questions now and log back on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. local time (4 p.m. ET) to participate live.
