The City of Mount Vernon, New York will celebrate Ben Gordon Day on Saturday, Aug. 20 to honor the hometown basketball hero. It will be a day of family fun and basketball.

After winning a NCAA championship with the University of Connecticut, Gordon entered the NBA as the third pick of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. He enjoyed a stellar season with the Bulls helping them back to the playoffs for the first time since the 1997-98 season.

Along the way, he captured the NBA Sixth Man of the Year - the first rookie in NBA history.

Ben will join the fans for a live chat on Monday, Aug.15 at 1 pm CST, so if you want to ask him about his day back home, the past season, the future of the Bulls or whatever is on your mind, drop Ben a question.
