I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and took at least a few moments to reflect on the folks who fight and have fought to keep our country safe, so we can spend hours a day tailing sports. Everything in the sports world is fair game. let's go.

What are the Mavericks gonna do? And we don't need JasonKidd 4 a backup let Roddy be the backup?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:06 PM)
If Jason Kidd being a backup is the best way to get Deron Williams, then u better get used to the idea of JKidd as a backup. Roddy has toprove he can play at a solid level on a consistent bases. The far, he hasn't.
Chris Fiegler (Latham,NY)
The way that Yu Darvish is Pitching do you think that he will be a 20-game winner this season?
James Gabriel (El Paso)
Are the Cowboys safties good enough for the defense to be a top defense in the league?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:08 PM)
I never thought he was going to be a 20-game winner in his first year in the big leagues because there are too many adjustments to make regarding the ball, the culture, the language, the umpires, the game, etc. He's been overall terrific and we've all seen how he can dominate when he locates his fastball. His future is bright and he will eventually become a true Ace
John T. Gold (Salt Lake City)
When the Cowboy's talk about getting stronger in the off-season are they strictly referring to weight room strength or better technique? For instance Arkin had 25 reps at the combine not sure if getting 30 reps makes a huge difference.
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:09 PM)
It's a combination of the getting stronger and playing with better technique. It also means getting faster and more powerful and becoming a better all around athlete, which should help guys become a better all around football player
Troy Hertzog (Womelsdorf Pennsylvania )
If Demarco Murray stays healthy can he have 1700 total yards ?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:11 PM)
I don't think so if for no other reason than Felix Jones will get 8-10 touches a game, and Murray has a history of getting hurt for whatever reason. He'll be a key part of the offense and if he stays healthy he'll make the Cowboys significantly better

If the new TE Hanna becomes a consistent threat will the need for a third wr be less of a need because of his size and speed and the match up problems he will create
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:13 PM)
I can't get hyped about a sixth-round pick. I'd consider himself successful this season if he has a consistent role in the offense. I wouldn't expect him to develop enough this season to be in position to be the Cowboys' "third" receiver.

Will OKC be able to rebound from the poor 4th quarter showing, and subsegquen loss in Game 1 and win the series? Or are the Thunder doomed to suffer the same fate as the Lakers in regards to wondering what could have been after letting a game(s) get away?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:16 PM)
The problem for OKC is they're not the better team. SA won more games during the regular season and beat them 2 out of 3 without Ginobili in the regular season. The Spurs can win with an inside game, and outside game, a pick-and-roll game and defense,. They also have 3 HOF players and a HOF coach. OKC is still learning how to win at the game's highest level. It'll be interesting to see how they play because this is the first time in the series that they've been down 1-0
Tony (Richmond, CA)
Does the rest of the NFL value Mike Jenkins more than the Cowboys? Been hearing a lot of reports about teams trying to engineer a deal with JJ to take the maligned corner off his hands?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:17 PM)
No. They're just trying to get something for nothing, which they should. Jenkins has a talent and he has played at a high level. He's still young, so teams see that potential and want to take a chance on him, which makes sense
do you think that the dallas cowboy defense will gel together this year or will it be the lack of offensive production or are we a legitimate contender this year?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:18 PM)
I hate to say it, but it's a l;title early for that question. I can't answer it because we haven't seen the guys put on pads yet. Heck, we don't even know who's on the roster. Have some patience, my friend
raul (rio grande city)
JJT... so Holmes has been turning heads at OTAs huh? what are the odds that he makes a solid contribution to the Team this year?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:22 PM)
I wouldn't say he's been turning heads. I'd say Jerry said he's an intriguing player as has Garrett, thus there have been a lot of questions asked about him. He's the epitome of guy u want to see in training campo and then watch him in the preseason. But I wouldn't say he's done anything special just yet
If the playoffs started today for the Rangers, who would be the game 1 starter?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:23 PM)
Colby Lewis. A couple of months right now it night be Yu. But we know what Lewis can do in the postseason. No answers yet on Yu and he's been subpar lately
Big Rog Dog (Sin City, Las Vegas)
Good Morning Mr. Taylor,What average age is good for a Super Bowl contending team. So far people are saying that the average age of the Cowboys is 26, is that too young?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:25 PM)
I'd say u want your stars - LT, QB, RB, WR, CB, and pass rusher - to be in the prime of their careers, which puts them between 27-29 for the most part. There are always exceptions to every rule, but that's a general guide I'd use
Tony (Richmond, CA)
The Longhorn softball team choked agaiin and did not make it to the WCWS. Should the coach be concerned about the seat getting a little warm giving the win at all costs world of college athletics we now live in? Break it down for me JJT and show me the depth of your vast sports knowledge. :)
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:27 PM)
i can't stand college baseball. Sorry. Better luck next year to the Horns. It has been an awful sports year for them. Who would've ever thought Baylor would own Texas in every sport...
Derrin (Plano, TX)
Will Tricky Ricky get it done in Austin next season and lead the Horns to at least a Sweet 16 appearance? Or does the seat beneath him really begin to heat up?
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:28 PM)
It should get pretty hot next year. There are a lot of questions about his in-game moves. But don't forget the program wasn't doing great before he arrived
Jean-Jacques Taylor (1:31 PM)
