At some point in every athlete's life is the realization that he or she cannot physically handle the rigors of a game anymore. For 26-year-old Andrew Bynum, that realization may be creeping up on him. Bynum's various knee injuries have been an unfortunate reality of his career, and though he's making a  comeback with the Cavaliers, he said on Thursday that he still thinks about retirement and feels like a ''shell of [him]self'' on the court. He can still find a place on a roster, but should he call it a career before he does more damage to his faltering knees?

Still a contributor?

Bynum has showed flashes of effectiveness in limited time this season -- he had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in 19 minutes in a win over the Timberwolves on Monday.
