The Thursday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, well, it had a finish.

Aaron Rodgers hit Richard Rodgers for a 61-yard Hail Mary touchdown with zeroes on the clock, one play after a controversial face mask penalty extended the game after time had expired.

Oh, there was some social media reaction from the sports and celebrity world. Adrian Peterson, whose Minnesota Vikings would have benefited greatly from a Packers loss, shared his thoughts (and corrected his heat-of-the-moment mistake):

A certain celebrity fan of the Green Bay Packers wasn't really bothered by the call:

Two former Wisconsin basketball teammates were at odds over the call: the Houston Rockets' Sam Dekker, a Wisconsiner and Packers fan, and the Charlotte Hornets' Frank Kaminsky, a Chicagoland native and Chicago Bears fan:

Others also didn't agree with the call, whether or not they were happy about it:

Then there were the Lions fans:

And let's not forget the other Packers fans and/or people who were just blown away by the whole thing:

One day after his brother, Martellus Bennett, made a rather outlandish comment about Jay Cutler, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett might have one-upped him.

After his team's controversial win over the Detroit Lions, Bennett went in on opposing quarterback Matthew Stafford ... in a rather odd way.

Now, we've heard quite a few JFK conspiracy theories over the years, but bringing in someone who was nearly 25 years from being born is a new one.

NFL Week 2 questions

The NFL's second week has come and gone, and both Washingtons made big news. The D.C. version saw its team lose quarterback Robert Griffin III to an ankle injury -- but win in big fashion anyway behind Kirk Cousins. The team from the state of Washington, meanwhile, was stunned in a 30-21 loss to the Chargers, with cornerback Richard Sherman being called out by San Diego players. Thoughts on NFL's opening week?

The NFL is back! On the first Sunday, some teams (San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos) won as expected, others (New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots) suffered surprising defeats, and a few more (Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs) were downright demoralized. On Monday, the Detroit Lions grabbed the headlines by routing the New York Giants. What's your take on some of the major questions from Week 1 action?
