Late in the Michigan State-Louisville game, Cardinals sophomore center Mangok Mathiang stepped to the free throw line with a chance to tie the score. And then this happened:

So how exactly does one react when a 48 percent free throw shooter forces overtime with a shot like that?

Pretty much.

Karma, it seems, was on Sparty's side, though. Michigan State cruised in overtime to win 76-70 and advance to its seventh Final Four under coach Tom Izzo.

Connecticut's men's basketball success doesn't stretch back too far.
