Vote: New Steroid Agreement

(From November, 2005)

Major League Baseball's players and owners finally have come to an agreement on a testing system committed to the elimination of performance-enhancing substances. The new agreement calls for tougher penalties across the board, including a 50-game penalty for a first positive steroid test, and a lifetime ban after a third positive test. Anyone sentenced to a lifetime ban will have the opportunity to apply for reinstatement after two years.

So we ask you, SportsNation, has Major League Baseball done enough with this new agreement to convince you that it is serious about performance-enhancing substances? Will it properly serve as a deterrent for any players currently using steroids? Give us your answers below.
